Inspiron 15 video problem

Hello I have an Inspiron 15 with card nvidia gt 750 m video running Windows 8.1 64bits.  I have a problem with the video, the laptop works fine for every day activity, but trying to play games I get an error "no graphics card not found, cannot create the graphics device.  I have rebuilt the laptop using a new Windows 8.1 Download 64 bit on a different, newly installed hard drive.  I installed the operating system and installed some drivers, including the Nvidia site drivers dells driver for my service tag.  I get the same error after reconstruction.  I called dell support and they wanted to take control of my computer to try to resolve the problem of software, but I think this point rebuild rules of the laptop.  I also ran diagnosis start, no problem.  For any help or suggestion is appreciated

I solved this problem by installing a different video driver.

The one I installed by Dell did not work, it was the Nvidia 331 version or something similar.

I went to the Nvidia site and downloaded a newer driver, version 364 and did a custom installation and had him remove all previous installations of nvidia.

Works fine now...

    Hello

I am running windows 8.1 on my Dell Inspiron 1564 i3. I downloaded the video drivers from the dell product support page and I tried to install the video driver, but installation does not begin with the error "this computer does not have the minimum requirements for installing the software. Is there a fix/way/trick to install the video driver on windows 8.1?

    Hello

    Thanks for joining us.

Given that the Inspiron 1564 was never delivered with Windows 8 or 8.1 of the factory, we do not have the compatible drivers for these operating systems.

However, you try to install the video drivers Intel or AMD Web sites according to the graphics card, have you in your laptop. It should cross fine without any errors.

    Thank you

  • Windows 7 64 - bit on Precision M6300 - video problem

I just installed Windows 7 64-bit on a Dell Precision M6300. There is a video problem. Here's what's happening and what I tried:

    The problem:

    • If I move or resize a window, the colors go crazy and it becomes illegible or at best, barely readable.

    What I tried:

    • Installed the latest driver from the Dell support Web, for 64-bit Vista site. It has a little less well. With this driver, before even as I resize a window, something white in the window, for example the whole background of many windows, has a checkerboard pattern that makes it difficult to read window. Then that uninstalled driver and I am now is installed by Windows 7 64 bit.
    • Disabled the display of the device manager driver and found that in the video simple, low-resolution Windows going when you do this, the prob lem moved not. I was able to move and resize the dialog boxes here without problem.
    • With the Windows 7 driver, I tried all available including low video resolutions, I think it's the same resolution used when the driver is disabled. All had the same problem, including the lowest resolution.
    • Flashed the bios system A3 to A13, later.
    • Downloaded the latest Dell diagnostics, made a boot CD, entered the custom and ran all the tests video. All reported no errors, and I never saw no problem with the video then that in the diagnostic program. I was able to move the main window of the diagnostic program, and it worked fine; no problems of any sort there.
    • I also ran Express diagnostics; He reported that everything was fine.

What should I do to fix this?

    Thank you

    Hello Terry,

No, I don't have success with the NVidia driver installed by Vista. I spoke too soon on that aforementioned; It turned out that after installation, he always used the "Standard VGA Grahics adapter" until it restarts. While using the NVidia driver installed by Vista and the problem was back.

The only thing that worked was "Standard VGA Grahics adapter" driver for Windows, which is slow. If I deleted the NVidia driver from Device Manager and checked the box to uninstall it so that it has not restored automatically on reboot, the computer was usable, although that slow, until the next Windows Update automatica, who would always reinstall the NVidia driver, and the problem would be back again.

Here is how I solved the problem:

I solved the problem by getting an another Dell Precision M6300. It has no problem with the NVidia driver installed by Windows 7 and Vista. Probably, I will not try the Dell driver since it is about 3 years, while the NVidia driver installed by Windows was only around 3 months of age.

I think it's clear now that there is a hardware problem with the first M6300. He returned to the eBay seller.

By coincidence, the two laptops are from the same seller to eBay and the new its trackpad buttons were a bit sticky. With the agreement of the eBay seller, I swapped the palmrest assembled to get the best of these two laptops. He had a lot of screws to keep track of - 27 for each computer laptop - but not difficult. I was surprised to see how big the fans in the M6300 are compared with the Inspiron 8200 I used before.

The 2nd M6300 works very well with the NVidia driver installed by Windows 7. I'll mark this thread as answered.

  • Video problems and a green screen

    Hello

I read the questions and answers on this topic, but some things work and others do not.  For example, I was able to solve one of my problems with some other fixes I found through online forums General for the 'green' screen that plays with the audio only.  It seems to work for me on you tube but not on Facebook more videos alhtough Facebook worked the first time when I rebooted.

What I did get into my internet options and under accelerated graphics that I checked use software rendering instead of...

and on the Security tab, I checked activate 64-bit processes in increased protected...  It Enhanced protected mode should as well then?  Should I check this option.

I also treid to do what the responses recommended... as a right click on the video on Facebook when he plays and then I get a pop up I get the settings options or global settings and adobe flash player info... by clicking on settings gives me options but none for "screen", only for my microphone, camera and storage.  If I click on global settings, need me to flash player help.  And the last option, I get my version of Adobe info, which is version 13.00.214.  So no option to uncheck the box disable accelerated graphics cause I think I already did this in Control Panel.

But why is working with youtube and videos from Facebook that I also tried to play videos as wmv and other video files files in my windows media player flash and then I get a screen black but still audio not play now.

My computer is a HP Pavilion Notebook PC and it came with Windows already installed 8.1.  My graphics card is a Radeon R5 AMD graphics card.

So what the devil now.  Should I install more recent Adode Player?  Even by unchecking the option graphis accelerated, this isn't really a solution for the deeper problem and the question, because then it slows down your graphics card?

My computer is not even a week and I hate having to always download the patches and constant updates and spend hours searching for and trying to solve a problem that really should not appear in a first time.  Why are there so many problems with Windows?  Is this a problem with windows updates as well.  Active X controls?  Isuses of compatibility with 64-bit processes.  Can I use Firefox.  I did with my old HP, which finally launched the bucket and that's why I had to buy a new one.  I had to replace my battery before a year and my warranty battery lasted that long either and then the thing finally overheated and died.  But I had a lot of similar things happen before with the last HP laptop if it's Windows or is it HP or is it browsers, readers?

I'm sorry if I'm unloading on you... I want too much, but it's so frustrating as a consumer of always having to go through such things.  I use my laptop to work on his own account so please help!

Thanks for letting me vent...  I'd appreciate your help, thank you.

    A frustrated customer

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I'm sorry you're having problems.  I looked into your problem with video problems.

    You have uninstalled Internet Explorer?

    Have you tried Google Chrome?

It already includes Adobe® Flash® Player built-in. Google Chrome automatically updates when new versions of Flash Player are available. Adobe are on version 15. Here'sa place to update. It has a link to Google Chrome as well.

Here is a link to common problems of Flashplayer.

I would try a system restore because this could undo any change that could happen with an update from Microsoft. Sometimes they have not completed or installed on the laptop.

    Hope this helps you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Dave,.
I could be wrong, but "Viewsonic va800" resembles a monitor?  I think that you need to update the drivers for your graphics card.  In Device Manager, look at "Graphics cards" (that's what they are called in Windows7, could be something different in xp...).

Take a look at this site for more information: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ht/updatedriverxp.htm

Because every PC is different (a different material) you're not going to find specific instructions, I'm afraid).

  • A Windows Update which included a NVIDIA driver's day, now of video problems

A few days ago, I installed a driver NVIDIA update in the updates of windows.  Since then, I have had problems with the video screen goes blank.  Whenever I was forced to do a power cycle to recover. Several times.  After awhile, I had to reinstall Windows 7, no surprise.  But, even after this reinstall I still see video problems.  I used this machine for 8 years and never had a problem before this video.  Never.  It is a new problem that came with the installation of the update of the driver.  It seems that the NVIDIA installation has changed something that Windows 7 reinstall couldn't fix!  Looks like something in the video card or the BIOS.

I expect that any change in the inner workings of windows, including that the registry would be more written by Windows 7 reinstall.  This is a full installation.  Not a repair.  I tried a repair, but didn't work, so a complete installation.

The update of the included NVIDIA driver NVIDIA console could be appearing in the Panel.  This console configures the driver settings, without going through the windows interface.   What did do?  May have changed the firmware on the card?  May have changed the NIC of the OS?  Maybe something changed in the BIOS.  That was the case, the change persisted after reinstallation of Windows 7.  Yesterday, to installed the provided Comcast Norton security suite.  After the death of the first installation of the video.  I did an uninstall/reinstall and it seems ok at the moment.  Never had this problem before.  Initially, this machine has Windows XP and has been updated to Windows 7.  On both versions of the OS, I have installed security software and never no problem.  Not until this update of NVIDIA driver has been installed with the console software.

I have really no need for their new console super driver.  I'm not a player, just need to get my system back to a reliable State.

While searching for a solution on the internet, I'm a LOT see people with this problem.  It seems that this has been a matter of months.  Since I have this problem while performing a Microsoft provided update, Microsoft must weigh on this and get NVIDIA to present a real difficulty.

After having the same DELL machine for 8 years, I thought to be updated to a mini pc.   A shoe more small print on my desk.  But I'm very concerned about getting a machine with NVIDIA graphics.  Also, I now seem that one cannot assume the updates from Microsoft to be sure.

Of course, this seems to be a driver problem.  I don't know if the NVidia updates change firmware on the card.

If this computer is a variety of funds, and I presume that it is or it would not still be alive after 8 years, your best solution will be to go to the computer store and buy a low range graphics card that will fit in your PC.  Probable cost is less than $50.  Only problem is you need to know what type of video slot machine MB of your computer has.  The video card must adapt it.

If you tell us the brand / model of the PC, we are able to provide more help.

I should add that my PC is about 6 years old and has a NVidia video card.  I made the mistake of getting a new NVidia driver also.  He made a number of problems.  Finally, I solved it by uninstalling and removing all components of NVidia.  Then by restarting.  I remember not but either Windows installed the right driver or it has been updated for Windows installed.  No problem since.

nVidia is not really interested in visitors like us.  Their focus is on the players.  Accordingly, users like we end up with a software that is very different from what we actually need.

  • Video problem of Far Cry 2...

    Hello!

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520, with 2 GB RAM and GeForce 8600 M video card.

The problem, I want to talk with you about is the video driver.

At the launch of Far Cry 2, the applincation starts normally, and after awhile, he says "your video drivers are too old. Update your video card drivers. ", or something like that.

I looked on the support pages and no new video driver is displayed...

This Far Cry 2 problem is known by player evert, because almost all of them had to do an update on its video card, but here... man it's frustrating, displayed the New NVidia driver, ATI did the same thing... all except Dell?

You know a driver I can download to fix this problem?

    Thank you 1 billion, guys!

  • Dell Inspiron 3537, few problems

    Hello.

I have an old Dell Inspiron 3537 of a few weeks. Was first Win8, but I have the update Win8.1.

After that I signed up for laptop computer, the next step was to my C: partition on both sides of the partition, partition C (OS) and D (Data). After that, I installed successfully all the programs I need. And after a few days problems began with a few BSoD. There are few problems and I'll explain all of them.

My Dell checkup "troubleshooting blue screen" reports every day one or more BSoD with explanation:
"The unknown hit-and-run driver (C:Windows/system32/drivers/atikmdag.sys) seems to have caused a system crash. Perform the tasks below to help prevent unexpected stops in the future".

On the same health check of my Dell, I try to run "PC Checkup", and everything seems OK, no reported problem. A personalized analysis on a single card, ATI (ATI Radeon HD8850) video and the result is 'passed '.
I run also build in DELL diagnostics (boot menu) and there were no errors, and also Dell diagnostics online and everything was fine.

I try to install the new driver from DELL (AMD Radeon HD 8850 M pilot 13.151.0.0) website, but during the installation screen blinked several times and then went away. I think it's OK because the video driver installed. I left phone for an hour to "complete installation", but noting happened. I turned off laptop by pressing ON / OFF button for 5 seconds, but after this laptop won't restart. Here, I noticed another problem that I will share with you in the moment. Fortunately, I have installed Acronis True Image 2014 so I was able to restore a system. BTW, same version of the driver is already installed according to the "MSINFO32).

Now, my system works, I still see the BSoD warning in my Dell Checkup, but actually I don't really see this BSoD. Strange.
If I click with the right button on the desktop and then click on "Property Graphics" or "Configure switchable graphics", I get this warning:

Second problem. My laptop during "BLACKOUT" explained beforehand, I tried to use Windows Recovery. I tried "Refresh" and "Resettlement" and both times I got the message:

"Could not find the recovery environment. "Insert the recovery media or your Windows installation and restart your PC with the media.

If I try to use "Backup and recovery of Dell", I received the message:

"Dell backup / restore could not detect the Partition Recovery on this computer." It may be missing or damaged. To recover your computer to the original factory condition and restore the recovery partition, please use your system recovery disk"etc. etc...

I don't have any coz discs that OS was preinstaled. So, basically I can't use all the facilities to recover my laptop because I have no media or recovery factory recovery disc. Fortunately, I'm using Acronis, but it's not a point. I want something to recover my original system, factory condition.

In fact, Windows catering facilities are OK and I can restore to a point, I created.

BTW, my hard drive is partitioned on 7 partitions. Initially, there were 6 partitions with immense C: partition. I shared this one on two.

And also, since this BSoD is probably caused by the video driver, how can I safely to update this driver. As explained previously, I had after the first test disaster. Can I try to install the new driver for AMD Radeon HD 8850 M from the ATI site?

Sorry for the question so long. If you have additional questions, I'll be more than happy to answer.

I hope that I will get answers, thanks in advance!

Hi dzemal_ssb, if you please to update your graphics driver and see if that helps - it should be the correct link for your configuration: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22519

  • File download video problem

When I used to click on links to before mp4 files, a popup would show by asking what I want to do with it. now, he opens a new tab and begins playback of video file. I have not added the new plug-ins, but I think that there was an update to Firefox. I was wondering how I can solve this problem. THX!

Yes, it is a new feature on Windows. If you want to prevent Firefox to play natively MP4s, which basically turn Firefox to the previous behavior, you can pass a parameter under the covers.*

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the filter box, type or paste the media and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click on media.windows - media - foundation.enabled to change its value from true to false. Not sure if it takes effect immediately when you reload the tab than you or you need to restart Firefox before it takes effect.

    * Technically, this setting controls the use of the code provided by Microsoft for H.264 decoding. MP4s using another form of coding can still play after having reversed this setting.

  • MSN video problem after updating iOS 9.3.1

4th GEN IPad plays only sound with videos in MSN after upgrade to iOS 9.2.1. No problem with videos from other sources. I have seen this problem posted on other tech sites, but nothing comes up on any other site of Apple. In addition, no solution is displayed in this very recent problem 2016. Any help would be grateful. No other changes have been made to the parameters of the ipad.

Try another browser - there seems to be extensions or other problem between MSN and Safari

  • World of Warcraft on Tecra M5 with Nvidia video problem

    Hello

I own a laptop very well supported - Toshiba Tecra M5 with the following specifications

    Processor: Intel Centrino Duo - T2600 @ 2.16 GHz and 2.16 GHz
    RAM: 4 GB
    Video: Nvidia Quadro NVS 110M
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit (on the highest performance with all the eye candy settings disabled)

The phone plays very well, but when I try to play world of Warcraft I encounter problems in the screenshots below

    http://www.exeedstudios.com/temporary/WoWScrnShot_051809_075634.jpg

I tried playing with the drivers on the Toshiba site (dating back to 2007) and I also tried the latest version of the driver directly from nVidia but no change in performance

Running the game in opengl mode makes things worse.
Sometimes, glitches video will change the above to the following

In the world of Warcraft Support Forum I was told to contact the manufacturer of the video card may be defective.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello!

It seems that your graphics card is broken...
You have this problem on other games also or only with World of Warcraft?

But it could also be an overheating problem. Have you tried to clean the laptop using a jet of compressed air? This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.

In the worst cases, you should contact an ASP. Technicians can check your laptop and share the graphics card if it of necessary.

    Good bye

  • Video problem with Satellite X 200-25 G (PSPB9E)

    Hello

I have this laptop about a year, and I have a problem with (real) Windows Vista, Windows XP (with the video driver change). Video driver is newest without problems, except one.

I work with SolidWorks, and the problem is that in this product. You can see the problem, if you see this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi0gCJTJRrg. Parts only to disappear, even if it is a part, one of the wall of the part go missing (shows as mirror) I tested it with any kind of this product (SolidWorks 2008, 2009) Windows XP, Vista x 32, but every time the same thing.

Probably the problem isn't in the product (SolidWorks), no doubt that it is not in the software, the driver and the OS (because I tested with two version of nvidia video driver authentic without no problem installing).
I'm pretty sure that the problem is that video card is not compatible with this product, even the purpose of the video is for multimedia and gaming, which is so close with the work that I do.

Can you give me some advice? Thanks in advance and sorry for my English skills

I think that most people here after watching this video will not understand what is your problem.
In my opinion you should visit the nearest maintainer authorized Toshiba, put your laptop on the desk and explain exactly what kind of problems you have.

Otherway if you have problems with the third party software you should contact the manufacturer and ask for help. They have the best experience with the own product and I think they can help you about this.
Computer laptop major manufacturer offers better built-in hardware driver and offer better graphics performance for habit each day working on this laptop model.

Toshiba and other manufacturers of portable can not test thousands of products available and check the performance of the graphics card.
    Try contacting the support SolidWorks.

    Good luck.
