Inspiron 530 s graphic / PSU upgrade help...

I recently decided that I wanted to get rid of my old ATI radeon hd 2400 and exchange for a graphics card, updated. After searching the Web for awhile, I found the card Nvidia geforce 9600.

After reading several articles on this topic, I discovered that it is recommended to upgrade your power supply at least 450W. After more research I found the power SUPPLY Corsair VX 450W PSU.

My questions are

(1) the 9600 can be installed in my PC?

(2) the new power supply works in my PC?

Hi, this is my first post here. So be gentle with me, okay.

In any case, I'm looking to update my graphics card in the integrated graphics card Intel POS in my Inspiron 530 (regular Mini-Tower).  I plan on upgrading the processor from the Celeron 2.2 Single-Core to a C2D E8400 and E8500 (depends on the pricing on Amazon) in the next month. What would be the best graphics card to go with either processors?

I have compiled a list of possible choices HERE . My budget is $ 100 to $ 130, although I'd certainly go lower if possible.

I have a power supply 650W ready to go, so now worry about voltage required.  Current specifications are lower.

    Intel Celeron 450 2.2 GHz (soon to C2D E8400 or E8500 @3.0 and 3.16 GHZ with respect)

2 GB RAM *, HD 250 GB (OS) & 500 GB HD (storage)

    XFX 650W PSU

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (64-bit to take advantage of the upgrade of RAM past)

    * plan on upgrading the RAM to 4 GB

Also forgot to mention, I intend to play, execution of Dragon Age: Origins and other more modern games. All that will be a blessing on the integrated graphics card. Thank you.

In fact, of 3 choices you listed Asus 7770 has the best cooler, I'm fan NVIDIA but EVGA cards you listed have noisy fans. In addition, as I have not heard anything any case change, I can add that Asus has the most effective cooler of your 3 choices, MSI Cyclone GPU cooler (NVIDIA or ATI) is best for your original case - as you can see I've changed the case for cooling reasons.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1030 graphic card upgrade help

OK, so I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1030, and the graphics card is crap, I need to update something much better.

I know that I'll probably need a new power supply too, if anyone knows a good combo?

Also, where can I find the old graphics card and POWER supply in order to remove and replace?

I'm playing BF3, so it must be good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Zxcvbnm0, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications of the computer, there is only the embedded video.  It is integrated in the motherboard, so you cannot remove it.  It will be automatically disabled when a discreet card is installed.  Integrated video is never good for video intensive games or other programs.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you more choices of video cards.  You must measure the current PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Normally, I buy my parts from Newegg.

Here is an example of a good food:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139028

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I recommend you to stay at 9 "long or less.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

Here is an example of a video card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150561

The PSU is where the power cord is connected.  If you do upgrades, it will help mark the wires of the PSU to make sure that you connect them correctly.  The connectors of the motherboard must be labelled, and more, the wires on the new power supply.

  • HP Pavilion A6603W Graphics card upgrade help.

    Current graphics card:

    GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i (built-in to the motherboard as a chip)

    Power supply #: ATX-250-12Z-REV-D7R (250 Watts I think?)

    Computer model: (HP Pavilion A6603W)

Problem: Trying to figure out which is the best graphic card for upgrade with to keep up to date with current games, such as: battlefield, bad company 2, just cause 2, Amnesia: Dark descent.

Now in regards to food, I'm sure that ill have to level it as well. But I found quite reasonable online at the FRY's Electronics:

    http://www.frys.com/product/5503410

But in regards to the graphics card, I'm completely lost here that I out I can buy and not to buy. most of my games requires at least DirectX10 or more, which only takes my graphics card supported DirectX 9. I also saw that some graphics cards require power slots? I am completely new to this and I would like to have the support of users.

Oh and by the way, the minimum that I can spend is $ 250

    any suggestions?

Thank you for your time and your consideration.

Salko, to play the games you mentioned, you'll need a good mid-level video card.  I like XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  The main thing to check is the length of the card.  The newer cards are 10 "or more may not correspond to the expected location.  With a power supply that is at least 500W, you assign choices.

The Antec PSU should be fine.  However, I love OCZ and Corsair PSU for a higher power clean and stable.  They are the two manufacturers PSU enthusiast/gamer.  Check Newegg for a PSU that assign customers (read) and is rated at least 4 eggs.  It is a good indicator of the quality of the product of those who use it.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: HP Pavilion Dv6 Graphics Card Upgrade help

    Hello

I wanted to update GFX card my PC for a long time and comes to learn that it IS indeed possible to upgrade, but if the map is too powerful I have to upgrade everything else as well.

I have never tried upgrading a PC before, but my dv6 has a GeForce GT 320 M card GPU and I would pass because I want to play games without having a large amount of offset.

Is it possible for me to move on a GPU higher without having to replace everything inside my computer?

And which of these cards that I would be able to upgrade to? (again, I am very new to this): http://www.geforce.com/hardware

    Thanks for listening

What is your exact model laptop? You use an external video card because I still don't know any HP dv6 model that uses the GT 320 M chip video but ready to be proven wrong. Insofar as this former post @banhien what he said, it's that you can't play the video without having to replace the motherboard.

I corrected the dv6-2000 series uses these video chips:

Discrete graphics graphic subsystem memory: nVidia ■ N10M-GE with 512 MB of memory dedicated nVidia N10P-GE with 1 GB dedicated memory ■

Those who are in fact the video GT250M apparently, but I found some old posts on the internet where HP is a dv6-2000 series Maybe the dv6-2160? who had 320M chip.

You can not pass yet really I'm sorry to say.

Assuming you have an Inspiron 530 mini tour and not Slimline 530 s version.

The next video card PCIe x 16 @ $39.99 after rebate, will work well in the Inspiron 530 MT and will not require the power of 300w to upgrade.

  • Help with CPU upgrade (inspiron 530)

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with a motherboard FOXCONN G33M02, Intel Pentium Dual E2180 @ 2 GHz processor (socket 775, I think), 4 GB of RAM and a NVidia Geforce GT620 1 GB DDR3 video card. My children want their games to run better, so I think that the CPU is my next update. Dell support suggested the E2200, but that doesn't seem much of a leap. What is the max the G33M02 support? And should I worry about feeding, fans, BIOSes, other?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave

    d.a.t.

    Dave,

The Inspiron 530 with a card mother Foxconn G33M02, compatible with the following Socket LGA775 processors: -.

Intel Pentium Dual Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

Before installing the processor, make sure you have BIOS Version 1.0.15 or a more recent version, when support for the new Intel processor has been added.

  • Looking to update the graphics card Inspiron 530 s

Hi, I was looking for to upgrade graphics card my Inspiron 530 of the s to something that would be consistent and give better performance. I use it mainly for games and play games such as minecraft and team fortress 2. Unfortunately, my pace is not very good. Also I said that my case is a slim that I would need a card low profile. Fake card can be found here: http://www.dell.com/us/dfh/p/inspiron-530s/pd any response would be really appreciated, thanks! Also, feel free to ask more questions about the specifications of the computers.

You must use a profile card down so he can adapt.  Also, you are limited by your power 250 watt until you can get.  The best card you will get there and others have used is the HD 6670 HERE. See discussion below on this particular card.  One step down would be the HD 6570.   The HD 6670 and HD 6570 have identical power drinks so there is not a lot of reasons to get the HD 6570 unless you want to save money.   Really useless much but to play the games you mentioned, even a cheap HD 5450 or HD 6450 works very well HERE and be more than enough.  You must use graphics just to edge.

A new 300 watt PSU can be purchased for your system HERE if you are more comfortable with it.

Pros: Requires very little energy to my 250w PSU was enough to make it work.
I play most games with setting max now

Cons: A bit noisy, but it's not so bad.

Other thoughts: I have a Dell inspiron 530 s (slim model) which is an old system with only 250w power supply I was afraid that he might not run but has no problems so far. I recommend this card to people with slim cases with low power.

I guess you have the Inspiron 530 mini tour with the 300w/350w PSU and not the version of Slimline s 530, with a power of 250w.

MT 530 systems were built with two different models of motherboards.

If your 530 has been purchased with either a Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core, Celeron processor and a 300w power supply, this system usually involves an 0RY007/G679R/CU409 [FoxConn G33m02] motherboard which only supports LGA 775 Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron processors and 4 GB of RAM.

If your Inspiron 530 minitower shipped with a LGA 775 Core 2 Quad processor and a 350w power supply, you have the motherboard [FoxConn DG33m03] of 0FM586.

The card mother 0FM586 can be used for both Quad 4 and Core 2 Duo processors and can support 8 GB of RAM, with a 64-bit operating system

Motherboard is your MT 530 have?

    The Inspiron 530 with a motherboard G33M02/0RY007 will support either 4 GB [4 x 1 GB, or 2 x 2 GB DDR2 PC - 2 modules - 5300 or DDR2 PC2-6400 memory.]

  • Upgrade CPU Dell Inspiron 530?

I bought a Dell Inspiron 530 in October 2008 (Service tag <> NOTE from the ADMIN: Service tag removed by privacy policy >) and I would like to upgrade the processor. My current processor is an Intel Celeron 450 2.20 GHz. I think that my motherboard is a Foxconn G33M02. (But I am not sure, and I would like to confirm that, so that I don't get an incompatible cpu.)

What would be a good upgrade from the processor that I can put in my current motherboard? I feel that my current Celeron 450 is a uniprocessor processor, and I would trade out for an important and remarkable improvement with more hearts (at reasonable cost) while keeping the same motherboard.

I've already updated the PSU for a 460 Watt PSU and have also upgraded the video card. Looking for a good upgrade from the processor. I think I also need to update my bios of motherboard.

    livin2fly

530 systems were built with two different models of motherboards.

FoxConn G33m02 [Dell P/N ORY007] motherboard, this version does not support processors Core 2 Quad, only the Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron processors.

One of the following processors should operate in the 530 Inspiron:

Intel Pentium Dual Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
