Please help me.

Hello!  A couple of things come to mind.  First of all a upgrade you to the latest BIOS available?  It's the first thing, 2nd if you did update the BIOS or not, even the BIOS recognizes the new processor?  It seems that the Phenom II X 4 is the highest supported processor.

Should what improvements I buy for my computer?

Your other post says you have a laptop Inspiron 15. But I have a few questions to see if we can not reduce what model & perhaps specify a little more upgraded.

    (1) can you tell us what Laptop Inspiron 15? Dell has had many over the years; The models they sell in places like Best Buy, 15N and 15R are listed in their systems like M5030s, the 1525 has been a very popular to sell a few years back followed the 1545... See what I mean? I don't want to tell you to buy a game incompatible RAM or something like that.

    (2) what do you do with your Dell?

    (3) is there something 'wrong' with your system, or it performs everything just not up to your expectations?

Generally interfere in laptops you can only change the RAM & hard disk easily. RAM helps with your performance on a daily basis, especially if you multi - tasking.

A new drive hard won't give you a huge speed increase but will bring you more storage if you wish. Conversely, an SSD has limited storage space, but is incredibly fast.

Now, if it is an Inspiron 570 desktop computer you have many options & I really need to know what you want to do or do better.

  • Upgrade your desktop Inspiron 570

    Hello

I have an Inspiron 570 desktop computer and instead to buy a newer version, I want to just update some of the pieces. I want to do the following

-replace broken USB 2.0 ports at the front with USB 3.0 ports

-install an additional hard disk: SSD who will hold a new copy of Windows 10. I'll leave the hard drive in place for data.

-J' have also 4 X 2 GB or RAM, so don't know if it is possible to replace these and this up to 10-16GB.

That I have not changed or modified any of the office, so it is that he is out of the box.

What is it exactly that I need to buy for the front USB ports and what considerations I need to do when you purchase the SSD because that's an inspiron 570?

    Thanks in advance

You will not be able to take advantage of or install USB 3.0 like the motherboard has no connections to it and the chipset does not support.

If you have a free SATA port, it is possible to add the SSD for the system. What you need to consider when buying the SSD is what title he is. For a Windows installation only, I recommend from 120 to 128 GB of disks because that allows updates. With this, you must map your my documents, my videos, my picutres and my music libraries on your 'data disk ' to avoid quickly fill a space. If you plan to install programs on your SSD I would say at least a 250 GB SSD.

Regarding the RAM, the maximum amount of RAM the system supports its 8 GB.

  • Inspiron 570 ultimate 'Uber' Upgrade Guide including Overclocking

After seeing several users asking for help on this topic and to lose contact with the users, I decided it's time to gather all the information and make it as enjoyable as possible. When the project is completed, I will state here duly filled (it will take me some time to put together it). For now, it is

    WORK IN PROGRESS

Little warning first to users who still hold any type of guarantee for their Inspiron. Upgrade the HARD drive (HDD), RAM (memory) and the installation of video card would not void your warranty, PSU (Power Supply Unit) could be questionable. Dell does not generally recommend change CPU (processors) [as soon as you think about changing your motherboard, your PC is therefore more Dell, unless she card mother Dell from another model, but then it's Frankenstein, in this case you can get help in the forum of harware Tom, but not here], however I would like to present the list of tested processors Dell and there will be another 2 processors not tested by Dell. In addition, you can change the case of do your prettiest Inspiron or to improve cooling, I would say - it could void the warranty as well. Finally, at the end, I would like to talk about overclocking, it would be just not the cancellation of guarantees, it puts you at my mercy, because I'm the only one left who did this and always ready to help others, remember, as soon as you decide to go this way, you could a danger to PC - it might even ignite and burn your place , so basically you do so at your own risk. I'm thinking, if you overclock Inspiron 570 you agree with the above possibilities and would not hold the grudge (or hold responsible) against me or any other Member of this forum if you become homeless because of the fire caused by overclocking, LOL.

I'll start with the regions less invasive and easier to the more difficult and dangerous.

The guide consists of the following

    Part 1. Upgrade of RAM.

    Part 2. Video card update.

    Part 3. POWER supply upgrade

Part 4. Upgrade the processor (CPU)

Part 5. Cooling of the processor and a general cooling in the original case.

Part 6. Cooling of the processor and a general cooling in the larger case.

    Part 7. Overclocking.

If I missed something I go back and fix it, I would try to keep it all in one thread. When I consider the complete Guide, then I would say.

First things first - information. All the Inspiron 570 manualand next page easy to download driver Driver download page not so easy.

Before asking questions, than I guess you read the corresponding manuals, so I must not explain, for example, how to open your case, well I hope you understand what I mean.

    Part 1. Upgrade of RAM.

According to the manuals official Dell Inspiron 570 is limited to 8 GB memory 1333 MHz maximum, but it was found that 16 GB 1333 MHz is recognized, faster RAM would have slowed at 1333 MHz. So far, no one has complained that their RAM (manufacturers) were not recognized by Dell. In general, it is recommended to use Crucial, however, I used Corsair and have not noticed any problems. Also, try to avoid the large heat spreaders, especially if you intend to use the fan Tower configuration push - pull - push fan can block access to the nearest slots of RAM CPU cooler.

    I would try to explain.

Unfortunately, this is the only photo where you can see the situation.

This is the pattern with the same color RAM code.

4 DIMM 1 - could probably be affected by large CPU Cooler

5 DIMM 2 - can be affected by the large CPU Cooler

6 DIMM 3 - will not be affected by the large CPU Cooler

7 DIMM 4 - will not be affected by the large CPU Cooler

    Part 2. Video card update.

If you know, our Inspiron has only 300 watt PSU, so without changing the highest supply updated Sapphire video card (recommend) 7750, or cheaper and somewhat less powerful version is 6670, for anything beyond what you should have to upgrade your power supply.

Some people have asked if the graphics card and RAM slots would be "intercept", the answer is no. However, to change or add RAM, video card must be removed to allow RAM Jack clamps open, this is approximate photo below, the maximum length of the map is approximately 12 inches or 30 cm, in this case video card would go under HARD drive so you should measure top set.

Watch you 2 SATA slots beside the Video card - they could be covered by the Vcard radiator, if this is the case you should use angle sata cables.

I realized that I did not cover a lot of cards video here. So a little more. "" As see you I placed 550 MSI TI Cyclone OC for its unique cooling ability, this map is very large, but short, measurements are "x (H)" x (W) (L) ', 8.27 "x 5.51" x 1.38 ". I'll add more cards here as users will report.

    XFX Double D FX - 787 a SADC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2 GB 256 - bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x 16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support video card 9.5 "x 4.4" x 1.5 ". "

Part 3. Update on power supply.

This is a general guide for power supply recommended by MSI, I would add at least 50 watt to your final decision, however more better, some say 100 watts is very good idea, argues here. Any standard power supply fits inside (it may be little required some metal parts of the case folding, but nothing major). Just make sure that a new block of POWER 24 pin or 20 + 4 pin, MOBO (motherboard) main power connector plus 4 connector pins supply assistants, 4 cables SATA power and at least a 6-pin PSU video card. It may be modular or not. Modular are much more expensive, regular, you'd have to improvise cables underground of the road maintenance.

Here are some pictures of the regular POWER supply, so you see that cable management can be a headache.

To my knowledge the factory recommended PSU is XFX, OCZ, Seasonic, Enermax and Corsair, I see so many complains of Thermaltake and Antec. Store brands and surprisingly cheap PSU should be avoided if you want stability and assurance that nothing will burn or power supply will last long with the same characteristics over time.

Then, I used extreme PSU calculator to show that our standard power can support 7750 and Phenom 965 together, no PSU upgrade needed, if no overclock.

Type of system: 1 physical CPU
    Motherboard: Regular - Desktop
    CPU Socket: Socket AM3
    CPU: AMD Phenom II X 4 965 3400 MHz Deneb C3
Use of CPU utilization (TDP): 90% TDP
    RAM: 2 sticks DDR2 SDRAM
Video card 1: AMD Radeon HD 7750
    Regular SATA: 2 hard drives
DVD - RW / DVD + RW Drive: 1 disc
    USB: 4 devices
    Fans
    Regular: 2 92mm fans;
    LED: 1 fan 92mm;
    Keyboard and mouse: Yes
    The system load: 90%

Minimum POWER supply power consumption: 252 watts
    Recommended power: 302 watts

Inspiron 570 stock PSU is 300 watts and it is known that this number is somewhat underestimated, so 302 watt is okay. Now, the power supply was in my Inspiron 570 model was HIPRO HP-P3017F3, here are the specs for anyone to chew.

    + 5V = 22 a, + 12 v = 5V aux, 18 a, + 3.3V = 17 a = 2A, - 12V = 0. 8A; Special comment "+ 5V and + 3.3V do MUST NOT EXCEED 160 W.

If you need a replacement, you can get it here again for $ 38. Not exactly the same, but very similar.

    Tyswhat

Can I overclock the AMD Athlon II X 2 250 processor with the motherboard stock stock? Or it doesn't work?

Only the Black Edition processors, unfortunately (already). Yours is not the case.

  • Power supply Dell Inspiron 570 factory

New to computers and need help! I need to know what food was pre-installed on my computer. Dell Inspiron 570 [Amin Note: Service Tag published by policy TOU] [Admin NOTE: deleted in accordance with the Express service code TOU strategy], MFG date: 20120522.  "PLEASE" reason why is I think he was traded to the shop nobody working on it. I bought two 570's at the same time, a failed hard drive that's happened and on computer receiving it not light. I noticed hard drive was in the other unsecured location and power cords would not get to the place of original cut, leaving hard drive disassembled or secured. 'Question', dell has a power supply factory for Inspiron 570 with a Bestec model: atx-300-12z rev. EDI I am an honest person and don't want to fight someone accusing them of something without some facts to make the right assumptions. I have both 570's I bought new next door and power supplies are completely different. Any help would be greatly appreciated before acting on my assumptions, please any help or comments!

Normally OEM may go through a number of manufactured goods for power supplies because they are designed to be cheap and just doesn't.  No matter which Bestec is a Dell uses from what I remember of my old computers (nothing more that uses an internal power supply).  If he was traded there would have been one Bestec to another which would be weird because the OEM power supplies are nothing to steal.

  • Inspiron 570 Factory Reset Win 7 SP1 desktop PC

My Inspiron 570 Deskto was slow. I decided to do a factory reset. I backed up all my important files first. Then my pc got worse. It wouldn't boot.   I ran the diagnostics (F12) and he said I had bad sectors. Then I tried to do a factory reset (F8) I followed all the steps, but nothing happened. Now, the only way to run commands in windows is through CMD.

    I need help please.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Please let us know the exact error code that arises during the diagnosis.

If the code was 0142 or 0146 or DST smart test failed, then the HD is faulty and should be replaced.

If the sectors are corrupted, then factory reset and windows installation will help only to a certain extent.

  • How to install correctly the update of Serial ATA for my Inspiron 570

    Hello

The following link provides a Windows/Dos base update of Seagate Barracuda firmware including download after installation, I became uncertain.    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=NJKYF&FILEID=3176063597&osCode=W764&ProductCode=Inspiron-570&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=SA&DCP=DNDTAG

The download is a zip file which when extracted product files divided into 2 shirts: Dos and Windows.  I don't know which of these to install. Indicates the Inspiron 570 products Support page: "the file will automatically install after downloading" and "Restart required." Yet I am unable to check the file was installed well and unfortunately, I downloaded the file several times.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This isn't an update, you must install. Delete all the downloaded files. You don't not firmware updates for your model unless there is a technical support saying that you do. You might not have even a drive hard seagate. Just download the files does not install them. For the record - back is no longer used or needed. You always use the Windows version of updates.

All drivers for your computer listed on the download page are not specifically for your hardware configuration. They are not to date required. Those who are just to reinstall the drivers, you already have. Do not install anything unless directed to technical support. If you have problems with your computer and think that you need to reinstall the drivers, post info here in the forum and someone will help.

    Hello

In Windows 7, the defragment utility runs automatically according to a process in the background when the computer is idle, by default.

You can use the link below for instructions to run Analyze the disk for fragmentation and also run Defragmenter disk manually, if necessary.

There is no NIC in Device Manager, and then I downloaded and installed the drivers from the Dell website.   One of the facilities has failed... error message says "cannot continue because the device (NIC) is not available.        I guess I could buy a USB Ethernet adapter and go from there, but is not where this darn network card have or where he might be or how to fix it.    His otherwise a very good computer that needs this 501 c 3 bad since its one of their best computers.

Have you installed the chipset driver as the first driver charged after installing Win 7? without the chipset drivers cannot install or may not work.

  • How to stop Inspiron 530 desktop (XP) sleep/wake extended?

I am trying to adjust the settings on my Inspiron 530 desktop (XP) so that it does not Hibernate mode or standby.  Under "power options properties", I have the 'Enable the hibernation' box unchecked, but that did not work.  In the morning, the power button blinks, put into hibernation.  Can someone help me with this?  Please?

In addition, as a question aside, is there another place to plug the headphones in addition before?  Is there a plug in the back that would work?

    Thank you, in advance.

    Hi Reg232

    Please write to us.

Please click on this link and install the video drivers according to the video card on the computer.

Please check the back of the system, if there is a green port, you can plug headphones in it.

  • How to get or install a 2nd HD for Inspiron 530 desktop PC

I'm helping a colleague to set up a new Dell Inspiron 530 desktop computer. It is not possible to order this online with a 2nd hard drive system. He's thinking about controlling the system with a single HD, then buy another HD locally and adding.

However, what I saw inside my elderly parents Dimension 521, Dell goes HD using a plastic slider/support type and not with the 4 screws usual. I guess that the Inspiron desktop computer uses a similar system and that the plastic support is necessary to mount the HD in the case.

I would like more details on this subject. Is there room to the desktop Inspiron for a 2nd HD? Is it possible to order the HD mounting bracket separately and how? Alternatively, if you place your order by phone, would it be possible to have the 2nd HD included in the original order of the system.

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hello Mike,.

The model of this system is designed to support a DDR2 667 MHz SDRAM, 800 MHz frequency.

And if your system configuration has been successfully upgraded to a Processor Quad Core support then more memory of 8 GB, new video cards and a bigger power supply can be accommodated.

    Hoping that it helps.
