  I'm helping a colleague to set up a new Dell Inspiron 530 desktop computer. It is not possible to order this online with a 2nd hard drive system. He's thinking about controlling the system with a single HD, then buy another HD locally and adding.

  However, what I saw inside my elderly parents Dimension 521, Dell goes HD using a plastic slider/support type and not with the 4 screws usual. I guess that the Inspiron desktop computer uses a similar system and that the plastic support is necessary to mount the HD in the case.

  I would like more details on this subject. Is there room to the desktop Inspiron for a 2nd HD? Is it possible to order the HD mounting bracket separately and how?   You could install a GeForce 9400 GT 1 GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x 16, with the default 300w power supply.

  I've been using same GeForce 9400 GT 1 GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x 16 in the Inspiron 530, with the supply POWER Dell 300w, without any problem.

  The GeForce GT 240 1 GB 128 - bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 ready video card x 16 HDCP, would be also compatible.

  If you want to install a more powerful video card, this would require the set power level.
