  You shouldn't have any problem due to the size of your TV, but more probably to the resolution of your TV. However, your iMac supports up to 2560 x 1600 resolution for an external display and your TV got a lower resolution (1920 x 1080), so it should work.

  (Please note that your iMac does not support streaming audio via the Mini DisplayPort connector, then you will not get audio on your TV).

  You can daisy chain a thunderbolt cable from the first screen to a second screen to support both with port of a sudden lightning. Reported here.

  1. Please go to System Preferences - date and time must be precise, select set time zone automatically using correct location.
