Install additional languages-

When I try to add a language through the screen of the Control Panel, it will not activate the OK button, so I can't complete the addition fact. Why is it so different from Windows XP and earlier versions?

If you are using Windows Vista Enterprise, contact your system administrator for more information about installing additional languages. They can be done even with Vista Ultimate.  They are not available through Windows Update for Windows Vista Enterprise edition.  As I understand it, for the company, you need to go through the Software Assurance or your support partner to get them.  You can use the wrong version and so he is not allowing the intallation.

  • How to add and enable additional languages in Windows 7

How to add and enable additional languages in Windows 7

Install or change a display language

You can change the language Windows uses to display text in wizards, dialog boxes, menus and other elements in the user interface. Some display languages are installed by default, while others require you to install additional language files.

Before you can install a display language, you need to access the language files. These files are on your computer, a computer in your network or your Windows DVD. They can also be downloaded from the web. For more information, see how to make additional display languages?

    To install a display language
To install a Language Pack (LIP), double-click the file to open the installer. To install a Pack of MUI (MUI), follow these steps:

Click to open region and language.

Click the keyboards and languages tab.

Under display language, click install/uninstall languages, and then follow the steps.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Note
The display language section will only be visible if you have already installed a LIP or if your version of Windows supports an MUI. MUIs are available in Windows 7 ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise.

    To change your display language
When you change the display language, the text in menus and dialogs for some programs may not be in the language you want. This happens because the program does not support Unicode. For more information about changing the text in menus and dialog boxes for programs that do not support Unicode, see change the settings system locale.

If you want to set the display language for multiple users or for the home screen, see apply regional and language to reserved accounts settings.

Click to open region and language.

Click the keyboards and languages tab.

Under display language, select a language in the list, and then click OK.

    Note
If you do not see the list of display languages, you must install additional language files.

  • Installation of additional languages on R12.1.3

    Hi guys,.

I have a few questions about the installation of additional languages on R12.1.3.

    1.
If the ebs system is updated from R12.1.1 to R12.1.3 without activating the languages via the R12.1.1 License Manager utility, is allowed to install additional languages in 12.1.3?
Or is it better to install the patches of the tongue after the new installation of R12.1.1 and before R12.1.3?
Does make a difference? Which way is recommended as the best practice?

    2
How it works if we install with DVD for 12.1.1? R12.1.1 DVD includes patches of language for the installation?

Alternatively, the patches of language must be downloaded from 12.1.1 in oracle e-delivery?
Also in this case, is it OK to install on 12.1.3 with 12.1.1 patches of language?

    3.
I checked related documents such as 788053.1 NLS and its other docs.
But to make sure that I understand, is the procedure in a table to set correct for the installation of additional languages below?
1 activate the languages through the License Manager utility
2 put the multilingual tables up-to-date.
3 install the relevant patches of the NLS
    4. translation synchronization patch utility
    Or, I'm missing some steps?

Could someone help me with this?
    Thanks in advance,

    See you soon,.

It does not matter. However, I would recommend that you install NLS 12.1.1 then upgrade to 12.1.3 (Basic + installed languages).

You cannot install 12.1.1 NLS patches on top of 12.1.3

    Fix.

The utility of synchronization translation patches should help to provide a list of all the fixes NLS, you must apply.

  • I don't have language packs (LIP) in my optional updates from the Windows Update - how to install a language pack?

I started a thread in another forum (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_update/i-don), but was told to start a new thread in this forum if I still need help.  I still need some help, so I'm here.  My original post was as follows:

My hard drive crashed. It was replaced and the outside company installed the OS for me. However, I'm in a French country and they had no English operating system share so installed the french operating system without telling me. I left it as it is that I had to install my other apps in a hurry. Now, I want to change the language of the OS in English without having to reinstall the operating system. The MS help Web site gives this page with instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/install-languages-with-windows-update, but I don't get the language packs when I click on "View available updates". How can I install the English language interface pack, if it is not displayed?

    The price is very close to 128gSSD / 4 g/i5 and i7 / 8 g/320gHHD?
Can I buy the latest version and install additional SSD by myself to get the best flexibility to upgrade?

    Hi, Woodennail

Unfortunately this isn't possible without voiding the warranty. As evidenced by this page, the only parts that can be replaced by a user are the hard drive and the hard drive cover. Any other room, for example an mSATA SSD, must be installed or replaced by the staff of Lenovo.
