Install Adobe CS6 on Windows 8 Preview of consumer (2012)

Hello

First of all, yes I know he only is not supported by Adobe (yet), however, I would like to introduce my case for future users.

I conducted an investigation on an issue that I've had since I got an error of 101 with Adobe Download Assistant where, after extraction, I get an error of "Set - up.exe" that he was unable to initialize. What is even more interesting is that CS5 trial can run smoothly.

Meanwhile, the newspaper has even said that "reboot is pending" and I rebooted several times and also tried to find me the "InProgress" registry key There is no sign of this key anywhere.

I tried solutions:

  1. Restarted
  2. Deleted Adobe OODE directory
  3. Used the Adobe CS cleanup tool
  4. Redownloaded trial Assistant Manager and directly from trial2.adobe.com
  5. Checked to see that I had enough disk space. (My 250 GB partition has left).
  6. I'm an admin and run the program as administrator.

I saw no success in trying to run CS5 or CS6 under Windows 8 Preview consumers yet.

For CS6, it turns out that the problem was a corrupted .7z file of Adobe Download Assistant. I even downloaded the CS6 Master Collection .7z and .7z directly with Chrome & IE 10 Web. I don't know how they became corrupt in the first place with many options. I managed to make it work to download the files extracted from another source. After that, each program has worked, including Dreamweaver with no compatibility mode.

For CS5, it's also the .7z file corruption. Yet once solved by getting a checked out source to make it work on Windows 8 Preview of consumer. CS5 works perfectly on my system too.

Try compatibility... mode same dreamweaver never opened directly in my preview of windows consumer machine. After you run the wizard compatibility compatibility for xp - sp3 it worked perfectly

Quite simply, no.

Jeff, Adobe has done well and I like the progress of the team. I can tell you that all Adobe CS6 works correctly with Windows 8 Preview of consumer (fully updated) smoothly.
