Install app on 8520 blackBerry smartphones

Hi all,

today I buy the BB Curve 8520, but without a BES or BIS. Can I install app on it? Someone told me that I can not install app because I do not have a BES to BIS. Thank you

With BIS or BES, you cannot use AppWorld. It does not require the BlackBerry data Plan.

But other sites of the seller, as mobihand.com, allow installation of desktop (PC) of the software. Check it out.

Hi can anyone tell me what the latest operating system is for curve 8520 I current have os 5.0.0.1036 I don't know if it's the last or I have to upgrade to a new version please help

    Hello!

Unfortunately, the current version and the last for the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is OS 5.0.0.1036 bundle, which is currently installed on your device.

Because the other 7 and OS6 is to rest the device series to date new Smartphone launched by BlackBerry.

So for the USGA improved version, either you change your device or, wait if a new update is launched on the market.

I hope that solves your problem!

  • Cannot remove the shortcut from the App World for blackBerry Smartphones

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 and install Blackberry App World yesterday. I decided to remove it, so I went to the Options > Advanced Options > Applications, highlighted and selected delete. Then I rebooted my Blackberry as he asked, saying that the app would disappear. The app has been removed from my list of requests under the Options menu, but again, the shortcut is displayed on my desk and takes me to the screen "Download App World" when I click on it.

I can't figure out how to remove the shortcut because it is more listed in my applications. What I just hide or y at - there a way to remove it? Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

What is left is just a shortcut to the installation link for AppWorld.

    Just hide it

  • Interested in the Blackberry Curve 8520 blackBerry smartphones.

Hello, I am interested in getting the Curve 8520, and I was looking for some opinions and some issues on the device... As I understand it the device is already an ADVANTAGE enabled, and (being my first smartphone) I was wondering if I have to pay (or having my account credited) when using EDGE to check my emails or surf the web base, and also, I can access my e-mail anywhere with EDGE? In addition, personal opinions would be nice

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

The 8520 is a good device, you must love him and he has the new trackpad.

The device will get the signal EDGE when you have the data Plan BlackBerry added to your mobile service provider account. If you call the carrier and inquire about the BlackBerry data Plan.

  • Icon App Store for blackBerry Smartphones

I downloaded the app store icon, it says that the download was successful.  When I click the icon, it is said! Eception exception: java.lang.Error.  What's wrong??  What does that mean?  All my other applications work.

If you have not started to reinstall the OS again, I suggest something else to try first: remove and reinstall the AppStore.

Agreed... Although FWIW it's called AppWorld...:

    I propose this sequence:

    (1) AppWorld remove your BB (Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications)-if she prays that you restart the BB to do.

    (2) a Batt Pull restart as described above.

    (3) get a new link and install a new copy of AppWorld

    • Yet once, if he asks to restart, do.

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

    See you soon!

I tried to find a way to install the new BBM 5.0, but can't seem to understand. I am new to the blackberry world (3 days) and I got an old 8703e that is now configured on my line of personal relationships.

So I've updated the software (desktop and blackberry), but it said that my BBM is updated to 4.2.1

I'm on the outskirts of Bell to the Canada and can't do no matter how hard I try. If I go on blackberry Appworld, it cannot be downloaded any other way except by browser, which I don't have, I have only the email and BBM on my Blackberry. Am I stuck without internet for browse and locate this program?

To use install and use BlackBerry Messenger v.5:

    • A data plan from your wireless service provider
    • A smart phone BlackBerry with 64 MB of memory
    • 2.4 MB of memory available smartphone
    • BlackBerry® Device Software v4.5 or later version
  • Install 3rd Party applications blackBerry smartphones

I'm new to the BlackBerry, but had an iPaq years without an internet connection.  All I had to do was install a new application from my PC to the phone.  I can't find a way to do it on the BB.

I have a software of the Bible I want to add as well as a few games.

What is an application loader file?  I went to applications/import files and tried to add my Bible software but she refuses she says "There was an error importing files."

When you surf and find the app you want, how can you tell if it's a file alx or ali?  I downloaded games that were supposed to be for the BB 9700, but couldn't install them because they were not in this format.  Is it possible to record in the correct format or translate?

In the five years from 2011, I have collected 240 contacts on my Blackberry Curve 8520. It is time I went and I got an iphone7. Very unfortunately, nobody can find a way to transfer my contacts. Sorts of difficult local Apple store, but failed. I have a full backup on my PC, but it doesn't seem to be any use. I have to let it go and re-enter all?

Transfer of Contacts, you can use switch of the device or content to Blackberry transfer

  • Email on newly acquired 8520 blackBerry Smartphones

I have just acquired a 8520 and would like to get my emails on this subject.  The problem is that for the moment he wants to get e-mail from a work email account using an enetrprise server, and of course I don't have access to that.  How can I get rid of the connection to a corporate server?  I really want to get just wifi BT using my normal e-mail addresses.

Do you have a data Plan BlackBerry enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You have to, to get the push RIM email functions you are looking for, as well as services of BlackBerry data such as the Web browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and much more.

Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.

    Good luck.
