Install apps on applications folder
I just restored my Macbook Pro. After the restoration, I was installing new programs, but for some reason, when I install them, I wouldn't be asked to drag to the applications folder. Instead, they would create a drive on my desktop. They still would be fine in the applications folder. I wonder why after the restoration, he does not ask drag me them into the folder. Nobody knows, or is it possible that I can change this back to the way it should be? I am currently using El Capitan (10.11.4).
All applications that use a Setup program will install the software in the Applications folder on the boot volume. Only apps that come without an installer must be found in the Applications folder. You see the icon for the disc appears on the desktop, because the software is supplied on a .dmg (disk image) file. Once the software installed you can disassemble the disks.

How to add a file in air installed app (not the folder of files/myApp program)
Hello
How to add a file in the "documents and setting / all users / start menu / programs / myApp ' folder where to install an application Adobe AIR for Windows (xp, vista, win7) or Mac.
could you show me sample code, please,
Thank you...
It is not available with the default installation of .air (other than a shortcut to the application). However, I would suggest a look at the options of functioning in captivity and roll your own Installer. This way you can do whatever you want on the unrestricted installation.

I installed the app in my applications folder and everything works perfectly. But normally, after you have installed a browser, the installation disk icon that appears on your desktop can be ejected or removed without. Mine is back...
Make sure that Firefox is installed correctly.
Open the DMG file and drag the Firefox program in the folder of the application on your hard drive.
You should not double-click the Firefox application to run from the disk image and drag it out of the DMG file instead. -

BlackBerry Smartphones Gmail App not in the Applications folder
Hi, I just got my 8900 yesterday. To get the full support of the Gmail IMAP, I downloaded the Gmail app from http://m.google.com/mail. It seems to work perfectly, except for the fact that I don't see anywhere on the app icon in my Applications folder. The only way I can start using the BlackBerry menu and then select 'Application Switch.'
How can I get it in my folder of Applications so I can put it on my home screen?
Hi and welcome to the Forums!
By default, GMail usually goes in the folder downloads rather than in the Applications folder. Once you find it, you should be able to move the icon where you want - just highlight (don't click), then press the BBKey... There should be options 'Move' and 'move to folder '.
See you soon!

I have a 8530 with a memory card of 2 GB and Verizon Wireless new (if it matters). I downloaded a trial version of a 3 rd-party for geocaching (CacheBerry) application, using Desktop Manager for the process of application for Macs. The application does not appear in the main menu of the application file, but if I go into options > applications, it appears in the list. However, I can't understand how the open - all I see are delete or modify permissions and properties of the app. Any help for a newbie here?
Thank you.
AHA! Found in downloads and was able to open from there. I don't know why some applications go to downloads and others go to the applications folder, but I was able to move to a more intuitive folder, too.

Bought the store Apps download not and says not to enter the folder TWUNI no such thing
I tried these tips. Still won't download apps. When I go to the store, it immediately says I have 15 updates to install. I click on the link updates and I get a screen that says "install Apps" with "Finance, weather, camera, music, new, ' Mail, calendar, all the people, and..." "", SkyDrive, travel, drive, cards, Sports, games, Photos, video, and Bing. They start with a "Download" message and after 5 minutes they all change to "pending" and does no progress. Now what? How is it "just doesn't work"?

Cannot remove from the applications folder
Having a problem of deletion of any application in the Applications folder. I use El Capitan 10.11.6.
If I try and drag any application to the trash or command + DELETE, I get the message 'the point 'whatever' cannot be moved to the trash, because some of its extensions are in use.
I can delete if I use Option + command + DELETE and enter my password.
So far I have tried:
Restart
First aid in disk utility
But even in the recovery mode
Repair of permissions through terminal
Verified that the application is in fact all running processes
Content of the application open and plugins will be removed.
Any ideas?
Exactly what app (s) you want to delete?
FWIW, any application installed with the operating system should not be deleted.
Some third-party applications must be uninstalled from their own uninstall program.
