  I think about buying a copy of Adobe Creative Suite CS4 including Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and I just wanted to know what my options are.   I didn't jump from Adobe CS4 supported GPU for the first time in CS4. I knew it was related to problems with CS4. So I jumped this version of Photoshop.   I had CS5, and I pointed out bugs to which they introduced in CS4 Adobe.  Adobe has recognized bugs and said that maybe in some next version of Photoshop, they could fix bugs in CS4 that I have reported. Well I use CC 2014 now 2015 CC has too many questions and I reported it to Adobe CS4 bugs are still in 2014 of CC.

  So I never installed CS4 and I don't have CS5 on windows 10.  I have CS2, CS6 and CC on windows 10 they all seem to have no problem running on Windows 10. However, I normally use Photoshop CC 2014.

  I found the solution.  I did some research and found references to delete the caps.db under earlier versions of Windows.   I found a file caps.db in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Backup.   I deleted the file, then right click on the Setup file and use "Run as Administrator" (do not do that the first time), installed everything well, except for an error with Adobe Flash CS4.   But so far, the programs seem to work well.   BTW, Adobe Reader 11, Photoshop elements 11 and 11 Premier came preinstalled with my computer), that could create some conflicts.

  For what it's worth, own Adobe's Web site indicates that there are no known issues with Windows 8.1 for CS4 (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/windows-8-1-compatability.html).

  You can install and activate on two computers, but you are not supposed to use both simultaneously.  Adobe has imagined users using their Office adobe cs while at home and their laptop while traveling or using the suite to a home computer and work computer.
