Install repeat me it was inturrupted.

I have Windows 8 on a fairly new computer. I have installed many things without any problem. Try to install Firefox so that I can use FireFTP. A friend told me that it works very well. However, at the end of each installation (which takes a while), I get an error that says that my installation was interrupted. When I click on "ok" a window opens that pushes me to use the other installer of mozilla. At the end it says the installation is complete, HOWEVER, the icon on my desktop is a file looking for empty exe and when I click it, it wants me to find the exe file for which there is no. so ya... not the best first impression for me with firefox.

Any help is appreciated.

Also, I check any malware or virus that I have none. Won't install not disabled my firewall, protection against viruses and malware protection and it still.

Try to delete the program directory and install again.

If this is not successful, remove the program directories. Then download and install an older version of Firefox from here.

If you install an earlier version of Firefox has worked, please update as SOON AS YOU OPEN THE BROWSERFirefox.

The report please come back shortly.

    Bruce,

Do you remember if you wanted to do a new installation or had you partitioned your hard drive to install it in a dual boot with Vista?

If you do not have a BONE now it sounds lik evous was the first choice that clears your current installation.

You need to reinstall Vista from your original media to recover your system if this is the case.

  • After installing automatically updates, data was erased, signed on a generic basis Admi

To close Windows Update installed AM 4. I happened to be awake and noticed because I listen to a podcast of the bed, and cut out the audio. It was too late for me to stop updates, so I just let it run and restart if necessary. When the charging system load, half my desktop icons are missing, as well as all office files, the content already stored there now apparently not found.

Naturally, I am alarmed by this much, so I decided to restart. It is something I repeat two times before giving up. The problem is that every time that I reboot, despite the signing in thanks to my main user account, I am logged in as the admin of generics. This means that essentially none of my software (having been installed only on the user account) is installed (and, for example, when you try to reinstall Chrome I'd get -Installer download failed.) Error = 0x800405ff), none of my preferences are saved, and once again I have not access to several evidence of records of important files, previously located on my desktop.

    The installed updates are:

Update security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2485376) - Installation status: success

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB2492475) - Installation status: success

Update security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2393802) - Installation status: success

Update cumulative security for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2482017) - Installation status: success

Update security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2483185) - Installation status: success

Update security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2479628) - Installation status: success

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x 64-February 2011 (KB890830) - Installation status: success

So above all, what I need to connect under my user account actually take me there rather than generic admin and recover the lack of desktop files became MIA after foregoing, forcibly settled.

By the way, I am running Vista Ultimate SP 2, 64-bit edition.

  • Office 2007 SP2 update tries to install repeatedly, even if Office is not installed

    Hello

I have a PC running Windows XP Professional, connected to a corporate network.  In the past, Office 97 was installed, but it has since been uninstalled. Any Office program is now reported by Add/Remove programs.  Other computers on the network have Office 97 installed.

On this particular PC "Automatic Updates" reported that "the 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)" must be installed. I let settle and the notification disappears until the next time I restart the PC, after which he reappears. This happens repeatedly.

How can I stop this behavior, please?

    Best regards

  • Problems with latest updates Windows (KB) do not install & repeated notifications via the taskbar icon

    Hello everyone,

In my view, there are many people who seem to have a similar problem to mine, although I was unable to find an answer to one of my questions in this post.

    Description of the problem:

Although my Windows Update is defined on download & install updates during the night hours every day, the latest updates, KB26333880, KB2572073and KB2518864 are not be installed.  I went to the Windows Update site to check my editing history.  He showed the green/white checkmarks next to all 3 updates.  The record also showed that updates have been tempted 3 times during the night.  After clicking on the button "Express" on the Home Page, the results show 3 above updates, but show "0 bytes', then '0 download time. '

To me, this indicates that there is no update to download, despite the yellow Shield of Notification of update continues to appear in the taskbar.

    Corrective measures attempted:

    1. I tried to download / install twice unsuccessfully using IE8 and FF (including restarting the computer).

    2. download & run the program MS Fixitattempted, but received a message which read, "an unexpected error has occurred, please try again later." No. error code has seen with this message.  (I could RECORD the program on my desktop... just couldn't run the establishment).

3 tried to search for the presence of these updates using start > run > %windir%KB###.log (where the # is the individual number of update KB).  Every time - a message appears indicating that the file is not found.

4 looked at the Add/Remove Programs list (with the Show updates checkbox checked).  No updates KB mentioned above could be found.

5 with SAS, MBAMand Outpost Security Suite Pro scans revealed no malware/security issues.  (SAS and MBAM are used only as scanners on request).

This problem with the updates does not download & repeated notifications being indicated in the taskbar has occurred many times before.  On this occasion, I called Microsoft several times before finally, my computer remotely accessible support person and spent about 50 minutes to fix the problem.

(Also, it is noted that almost every support person I spoke with has always tried to tell me that MS is not help with the problem of this type.)  I had to be rather several in my reply... tell the person that MS IS in fact provide assistance free security-related Windows updates.  They now provide free assistance is unknown). Besides... I have more a phone number for States anyway.

    My questions to the community:

    1. is it possible to download & install these 3 updates?

2 is there an explanation as to why MS Fixit program will not be installed, and if so, are there certain corrective measures I can take which will allow me to download & run this program?

    System Specs:

Desktop Dell Dimension 3000 Tower;  WIN XP Pro SP3.  2 GB OF RAM;  3.00 gHz CPU;  Outpost Security Suite Pro.  MBAM Pro (on request only).  SAS (on request only);  SpywareBlaster;  IE8 & FF

Thank you for your time and help, review!

  • Can not install M401DN - install repeatedly fails

    Solved.

The documentation must indicate that the installation as a network device requires that the connection does not pass through a switch, even a stupid.  It must be a direct connect to install successfully.  Each machine you want to install to requires a directly connect to the printer for installation to succeed.  When all the facilities are completed, the switch can be brought back into use.

And if the installation still does not work even with a direct connection, and you install XP, you might need to do a reinstall of XP (choose 'repair' or 'upgrade' in function, for the less aggro).

I discovered this after doing a live patch enabled installation to succeed on a machine, that I just did a reinstall on a few days previously.  With this in mind, I did a reinstall on the other machine which gave me 12 hours of boredom.  As an experiment, I then tried to install via the hub (hub 8 silent Trendnet gigabit ports), which failed.  Change a direct patch, that settle managed also.  What a pain in the tone that was poor documentation.

It seems a very nice wee printer and does not slow down.  I look at the work out and then get sucked in for side 2 was a little disconcerting at first, but now it looks just funny.

  • Download/install repeated several updates

My computer has been disconnected from the internet for a while. When it is reconnected, there was a lot of updates to download. It was expected. However, it seems that some of them are downloading and installing again and again. I did not write down the codes KB before so I'm not sure on all of them, but the Malicious Software Removal Tool for July 2013, I'm sure I saw him three times. He says that the installation has been completed each time. I did get the automatic updates error messages.

I tried to use the patch tool, but it gave me an error message. He told me to check my internet connection (which was fine) and try again. I tried twice with the same result.
Can someone help me please? I don't really know how to solve this problem. Thank you.

It would be great if you can run the update of Windows Fix tool. Please try again, because maybe it was a temporary network condition.

Since you have enough free space, try the following before moving on to other solutions. Try 1 and if that does not work, try 2, etc. When you are finished, please confirm that you have tried.

    1. click on start > run > chkdsk/r > press on enter or OK > enter Y at the prompt of > Reboot
Depending on how big you make your XP partition, it may take some time.
When he returns to the top, the updates again. If they still fail, click Start > run > eventvwr.msc > press on enter or OK > go to Application, Type: Information, Source: Winlogon. Copy the message by clicking on the button under the arrow down and paste it into Notepad and save it. When you are ready to respond, post the contents of the .txt file.

    2. click on start, run, type msconfig and press to enter.
Click the selective startup radio button.
    Uncheck load startup items.
    Click the services tab.
    Click Hide all microsoft services.
    Click Disable all.
    Click OK.
Click on restart on the box that opens asking you to restart.
When he returns to the top, the updates again. Please report any failure or success.
This eliminates the possibility that your AV or other programs interfere.
Once completed, return to msconfig, and then click normal startup.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/331796/

    3. try to install the updates manually. I'm a little tired right now or I'll give you the links so Google the KB numbers for each default update and look for the download page for them. Regarding "Security Update for Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x 86 (KB22844285)", I think you meant KB2844285. There is no such thing as KB22844285. Confirm that it is indeed KB2844285 and download NDP20SP2 -KB2844285- x86.exe. Please report any failure or success.

Since one is a .NET 2.0 update, I need to know if the 2.0 is part of an installation of .NET 3.5. Open Add or remove programs and see if you have 3.5, 3.0, and 2.0 is installed. You can also use this tool. Please report what you have.

Insofar as the Office updates, if all these steps fail, you may need to wait for someone with experience of updates to Office or by mail in the Office forums. I don't have a desktop.

I'll give you more to the steps for the rest if the neither of the 3 steps helped.

I wanted to post back to update everyone on my current situation.
I was going to ask your manual correction of the WSUS... when I got home tonight. However, at the start of my PC tonight the Automatic Update icon (yellow) was actually download updates once more and things work like they are supposed to. After the download, the icon shows the balloon which informs you that you have updates available and when I clicked on the icon it was admissible and that it took me to the menu as usual at the.

I would like to see MS improve WSUS and also more importantly still provide and ENCOURAGE users to take and the advantage of teaching material that MS can offer users to consumers.

It is possible that there is a conflict with one of your other modules. You can try to disable all non-essential or unrecognized modules on these two tabs:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

Then restart Firefox and see if Cocoon works.

No one knows here with Cocoon, could you try to upload a screenshot showing what you mean by 'crushed' and 'locked '. There is a browse in the answer box and this article has tips: How to make a screenshot of my problem?
