  I had something similar happen a year where every two days I have to restart internal broker for connections that was paired to the Security server.   We have opened a ticket with VMware support, and it took a good 5 months to get the issue developed and the solution ended up being to change a value of timeout on the file server.xml on the broker for connections.   I don't know if it's the same problem that you encounter, but if you already have a ticket open with VMware you can refer to our old 1147071161 SR and may save you time.

  I was getting alarms in vCenter for CPU usage on my view connection server, I discovered was caused by the mysqld service 100% of the CPU usage.   So I did a netstat - anub | FIND/n '443'. The PID for the service that is listening on the port is 4, which corresponds to the function of the SYSTEM. I don't know how to change it. So I'm stuck.

  Ideas?

  IIS has not been installed. I did a last shot of station and just sort processes by use of memory and kill them until the 404 went. Ended up be the MS SQL Reporting Services. So I disabled the service and the view Web Admin page returned to the top after a reboot.

  In my recent deployment, I had a customer request to disable some protocols and encryption at the Server VMware View connection and security. I read some articles and found that this has been achieved by editing the locked.properties file. But when we have edited and replaced the file, users could not connect to the virtual desktop, so came back to us backwards and desktop computers worked fine.

  I found a few articles that we don't need to edit the locked.properties file in VMware view Horizon 6. If someone has done this please guide me through. Here are the details of the protocols and encryption algorithms that should be disabled

  I implemented the following steps (from the manual):

  1. update the JCE policy files to take in charge the high-strength Cipher Suites

  You can add some cipher suites of high resistance for greater assurance, but first you must update the local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar files to each server instance and the security strategy for JRE 7 see connection to the server. You update these policy files by downloading the files to extend JCE (Java Cryptography) unlimited strength political jurisdiction from the Oracle Java SE download site 7.

  If you include some high-strength cipher suites in the list and you do not replace the policy files, you cannot restart the VMware view Horizon connection to the Server service.

  Policy files are located in the directory C:\Program View\Server\jre\lib\security from VMware.

  For more information on the download of the JCE unlimited strength jurisdiction policy 7 files, see the Oracle Java SE download site: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html.

  After you update the policy files, you need to create backups of the files. If you upgrade the instance of the view connection server or security server, any changes you have made to these files can be replaced, and you may need to restore the backup files.

  EAP-ServerSSLSecureProtocols_ \LIST:TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2

  It is not the highest possible, but they work with all the features of our customers.

  • Restart the service of VMware view Horizon connection server (server connection and security).

  This is not Activate secret transfer (if possible) , but other points are covered.

  I want to completely remove the sdconf.rec file downloaded from my connection to the server VMWare View Horizon 6.0.1. In previous versions, it was that I had to delete the Sdconf.Rec of C:\Windows\System32 and set the attribute to EAP-SecureIDConf under CN = < servername >, OU = server, OU = propriΘtΘs, DC = vdi, DC = VMWare, DC = int '0' but this attribute does not exist in version 6!

  Just deleting the Sdconf.REC file does not work, after doing that (even after a reboot) it always says "a Sdconf.REC file has been downloaded" when I check the settings of the connection to the server.

  Does anyone know how to delete this file in version 6? I'm this close just removed the server connection and security together and do a complete reinstall.

  This should be OK. What you did is invalidated the sdconf.rec file. It probably will always exist, but watch to see if it has been invalidated. that is, it should now be much smaller than your original and so not usable, which I think is what you wanted to achieve.

  If you want to just disable the RSA SecurID authentication, which can be made in view administrator.

  Please confirm.

• Samsung NC-240 - Windows 7 with VMware View connection problem

  Hi all

  My Samsung NC-240 is set to connect to my server VMware View Connection Manager. I can connect to one of my Windows XP via PCoIP or RDP virtual desktop very well, but I can't connect to my virtual Windows 7 desktop. Whenever I try to connect, it will be wrong and tell them "Session Lost!"

  Research in the NC-240 event log, I see the following:

  In order to try the VMWare View 5, I have the program installation and 2008 R2 SP1 virtual server on which I am trying to install VMWare View connection Server 5.

  The server is a complete new installation with only the Active directory (and DNS) installed.

Its my fault see tho, I have the seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1 TB external hard drive, and I had planned to use it on several computers. sort of, I installed it on my computer windows 7 without probs., but when I was installing on my windows vista computer, I accidentally unplugged the drive when installing memeo instant upward.  Needless to say, I knew this would be a problem. Windows popped up saying that the dashboard Seagate (which is the program that installs Memeo instant backup) have not installed properly, so I clicked on reinstall this program with the recommended settings, and I handed the drive and started the installation again. When I did, the registration page (for the unit I was using) pops up and froze, so I closed its process, then Setup of the Board of Directors of Seagate Dash appeared and I started to install, and when he rose to installation of the snapshot of Memeo back, it opens a "Preparing to install" window of a windows installer and after about 10-15 minutes , another windows installer window comes up saying ' to install the server does not.

  Ive done my time just trying to solve this problem and believe he made an incomplete registry file, it whenever it tries to install it tries to use the incomplete record. • Fatal error when installing the Server Application Weblogic 11 g (10.3.4)

  So I uninstalled existing Weblogic server and tried to install the server (same version using the same configuration) once more, but it does not. It asks me for the directory (WLS Home Directory), Complete/Custom and finally the installation, it is down a mistake (when 39% installation is complete) 'fatal error occurred during installation of the file and install it will cleanup now, out! " \Wlserver_10.3\common\bin\consol.exe C:\ < host directory > (access denied)".

Then when you select a pool of offices you will see a PCoIP connection come in. It comes to 4172 TCP from the customer to the login server, then UDP 4172 also from the Client to the server connection as well as UDP 4172 in reverse. For this reverse part, the source UDP port will be 4172 and corresponds to the destination UDP port source on the incoming UDP packets. Check that this is the case. This will prove that the login server is gateway your PCoIP correctly.

  So far so good.

  Then, you switch to your remote Client to view from on the Internet. To do this, you assign the URL of the "external" ExternalIP:4172 PCoIP. Note that you don't need to restart the login server for this to take effect. It takes effect immediately. This IP address will be the public IP address which will probably through a NAT/firewall to access your connection to the server. You can start by checking that the IP address is correct using to connect to the server address when you satrt the customer to view. When you use the same IP address to the Client and through the authentication step, it will prove that it is set up correctly in terms of Routing/NAT etc. Then follow with Wireshark on the login server and observe what happens when you select a pool of virtual offices and get the black screen. You should see the same activity PCoIP on your login server model as in the case of internal test (i.e. starting with the incoming TCP connection on port 4172). View Client will use the ExternalIP address that you specified in the "URL external PCoIP ' to establish the PCoIP connection to connect to the server. So if you don't see this com 4172 TCP on the login server, or you do not see the packets UDP 4172 then something is blocking. This is usually caused by a firewall or a proxy blocking PCoIP.

  If this is the case and you do not see these packets to connect to the server, then run Wireshark on the Windows Client to view and see if you can see 4172 TCP and/or UDP sent to this ExternalIP 4172. If Yes, then you know that something (such as a firewall or proxy) between the Customer View and the view connection server it blocks.

Initial measures follows and ends with Esc - repair-installation of the screen. In this screen im not control keystrokes at the keyboard and mouse n and cannot go any further. I found in the net that this method will work for purposes of practice. Can someone help me. ?

  For your question, I understand what you are trying to install ESXi on your laptop to test / learning object. I also suppose that you try ESXi 4. ESXi 4 requires 64-bit processor. Your laptop should also support virtualization. To make sure that your laptop supports virtualization, go to configuration and find what is called VT and then activate it if it is not yet enabled.

  Once you have completed step abvoe, download & install the latest version of VMWare Workstation. Then create a new virtual machine, assign them to less than 2 GB of RAM, and then try again to install ESXi 4.

• VMware View connect not not using Nexus 7 (2013)

  Hi all.  I am a new user and have problems even connect using my Nexus 7 (2013).  I use VMware View version 2.3.3 - 1749018 on Android 4.4.2.  Whenever I try to connect to a virtual desktop, I get an error "Lost connection to server."  I can always regardless of my physical location or what wireless network that I use.  In all the same places I can always connect with my iPhone.

  Any ideas? Sorry if I left out some key info.

  Thanks for the quick response.  I went through your steps and unfortunately had no chance.  But I managed to get connected in a different way, maybe it will help others.

  My Nexus 7 is set up with two accounts different profiles/user.  The first and main is my personal account.  The second (child) account is my business account.  I managed to install the VMware View app on my work account profile, but it would never connect.  I tried to install the VMware View app on my personal account profile and it connect to 100% of the time.  So, there is some difference in my settings on these two profiles OR child accounts have some inherent differences I don't know.

  If someone else has a similar problem, try using your main account to connect!
