Install Vista disk and removing an OEM version

Hello

I have a Dell Windows laptop that was purchased as an element used by a PC conservator who has installed an OEM version. This has been great so far, the laptop is on its last breath and I bought a disc of Windows Vista complete with its PK. I bought because I know that I can't move the OEM from one computer to another version, so what I want to do is to install the new copy, on that I bought before any transfer.

Can I do it without losing everything already on the computer and how would actually go to do?

Thank you very much.

Thanks, maybe I misunderstood but I just solved the problem, and everything is now finally anyway. But thanks for trying to help me.

    Moves from 2014 version to version 2015, considered an update? If this is not how to deploy the 2015 version and remove the 2014 version?

    We currently have Adobe CC deployed on more than 4,000 computers, I am now looking to update installation on the newer versions that are 2015. If I create a new package it installs the latest but it also lets older versions of 2014.

    Is there a way to delete the versions of 2014? Or can we update the versions of 2014 and 2015?

    It's actually an upgrade.

    If the two can exist side-by.

    in the cc office application, there is an option to remove the older versions, but I don't know about the enterprise deployment.  You should check the documentation of the company.

  • Need to install Vista disk!

    I lost my windows vista installation disc. I have the activation code on the bottom of the laptop and I have a disk to upgrade to windows 7 but I can't upgrade until vista is installed. Help!

    Hello

    There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

    You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

    They should do this for a small fee.

    To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

    You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

    How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

    "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

    Ask them to the proper key sequence.

    And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

    Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

    If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Problem re-installing VISTA after the removal of Windows 8 Preview Release, all I get is a black screen with a message "Not found operating system"

    I recently tried Win 8 on my VAIO laptop spare parts on which I ran Vista, after having previously deleted all the files and documents (I don't use often the laptop). Having concluded that Win8 will really work correctly with a touch screen (and the display size was bad as well), I uninstalled WIN 8, understand that I have to re - install Vista from my rescue disks. This I tried successfully a few months previously to make a clean reinstall. However, after removing 8 WIN via the Control Panel, I can't re - install Vista now. All I get is a black screen with a message "The operating system not found" and the rescue disks do not register. What can I do? I like Vista (although I now run Win 7 on my PC) and really want to put it back. Grateful for the advice.

    Well I finally fixed it by tweaking the BOOT BIOS settings and find something along the lines of VAIO Setup. I'm afraid, I just don't remember exactly what I did, but suddenly I found and ran 'VAIO Hardware Diagnostics' gave me a heart when it announced "no error was detected on the Vaio. Then I saw there was an entry for 'VAIO Recovery Utility - Recovery Wizard' and everything started to load. Since the 2 recovery discs I had. Finally, I ran MS Office and Small Business CD-ROM and now everything is back the way that it used to be. Here I had taken more note of how I got to the well Recovery Wizard. I hope that I never have to do it again!

  • What Flash USB Sandisk readers are a fixed disk and removable disks are considered?

    It seems that number of new flash drives is now seen by Windows as fixed and not removable.

    This is apparently due to a requirement of Windows 8.

    My preference is the USB flash drive to be seen as a removable drive.

    What Flash USB Sandisk readers are seen by Windows as a disk fixed and removable disks are considered?

    It is best to look for a drive that is not compatible to Windows 8.

    Please answer and thank you

  • I've upgraded to Vista XP, the system crashed and now it says to install the disc so that it can be fixed. He doesn't like XP or Vista disc. How to get a copy of the Vista disk (and not an upgrade) my computer can run.

    my vista system crashed and now it asks me for my vista drive.  He doesn't like my drive to upgrade to vista, says that my XP system drive does not work either.  where I kenza a copy of vista disc that works?

    To reinstall Vista:

    You can not legally do a clean install of Vista with a Vista Upgrade disk/license.

    Reinstall XP > then go to Vista.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Here's a startup repair disk, you can do:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
