  as noted above, the kb2633171 of security update will not install on my computer used windows vista laptop. I had mcafee installed since the first day (it came with the pc).   For someone who has similar problems, do pass the boot sequence in the BIOS of UEF1 inheritance. Freeze DVD ROM? When you come to format, we'll tell you that Windows is unable to format one of your readers because they are GPT partition style.

  You must remove the HP tools or the recovery partition. I think that removing the partition on an HP tools automatically goes to sleep you out of the recovery partition.

  If you delete the recovery partition, you must make sure that you have done the set HP recovery disk and it is on quality discs and safely set aside.

  If you are planning on dual booting with different versions of Windows, make sure that Windows utility block each other. For example, don't let Windows defrag loose on the other OS partition.
