I played fifa 11, fifa 12, Medal of honor 2010, call of duty modern warefare 1 virtua tenniis4. all of these games went very well with minor problems. but now I started the call of duty black ops. and during gamplay he crashed several times. twice he appeared as BSOd but when I applied fixed releaesd of updates, the game crashes, but no BSOD. I Googled it and found a lot of people have problems on this laptop specially, not for this game, but also for other games too much on this subject. He wants your advice how to diagnose failure in portable or game atleast iwant to vaerify my laptop computer equipment. I use the dell pc support check fairly often, but it does no hardware problem. I found on the internet of people saying that you need to replace your borad because Valentine's mother problem .i also want to add that I also had the problem of game failure on fifa11 and cal of duty modern warefare. They games showed inadmissible mistakes, but I think it could be overheating. If iadded cooling pad for my laptop but now the problem has worsened on call of duty black ops. I have not tried other gmes. I also read some people saying that games hangs on their system while the power supply is plugged on I don't have noticd that thing on my laptop also dare not try this on my laptop

  plugged my laptop problem of frost during the game with AC power cable, I check what whatever and also I check the hardware everything was OK, no parts have problem in software I have check the drivers and also, they have no problem so I use some programs like GPU - Z.0.5.7 and I check sensors tab in this program during game and I see no going to high temperature of the GPU! very high, about 80 C.   A few months, I installed Windows 10 back on my XPS 15 L502X. It seemed OK, but a bit clunky. Now I'm sick of it. It is so much slower, freeze things upwards, the Start button does not work, it takes forever to connect, webcam does not always work etc, etc.

  So, I want to return Windows 8.1. In fact, I grew to love this OS. Problem is that I don't have the installation diskettes. I tried to get some via Dell website but it came to a bit of a dead end and I'm not sure if they will be provided after the expiration of the warranty.

  Also, I don't seem to have an activation code on the case - is a problem.

  Any help appreciated.

  You misunderstood what George wrote.  Dells have a "factory restore Partition" and reinstalling Windows procedure that is described in the manual of your PC.  For example, here is an excerpt from the mine-

  Reference Dell Factory Image Restore [excerpt from manual for Dell Inspiron 1545]
  1. turn on the computer.
  2 when the Dell logo appears, press several times to access the Advanced Boot Options window.
  Note: If you wait too long and the operating system logo appears, continue to wait until you see the Microsoft Windows desktop; then, shut down your computer and try again.
  3. Select repair your computer.  The System Recovery Options window appears.
  4. Select a keyboard layout and click Next.
  5. to access the recovery options, log in as a local user. To access the command prompt, type administrator in the user name field, and then click OK.
  6. click on Dell Factory Image Restore. The Dell Factory Image Restore welcome screen appears.
  Note: Depending on your configuration, you may need to select Dell, then Dell Factory Image Restore factory tools.
  7. click on next. Data delete screen is displayed.

  The manual of your PC will also be instructions for creating a set of "Recovery disc" and do this after the factory restore.

  I did as you did and downloaded the Intel scanner from their site. The only thing he told me was that I need a later version. INF file.

  When you install the DELL XPS One 27 clean you MUST have the INTEL RAPIDSTORAGE driver on memoryStick.

  Use Windows 8 disc and start with F12 Commandbutton installation (Start menu)!

  Following the installation and use manuallinstallation option!

  Now that you see a clear list of the hard drives-> it's failure, but I have the solution!

  You can see the "Load driver" button on the left Push it!

  Now you can load your memoryStick with the unzipped driver of intel (x 64) rapidstorage!

  The installation routine find now a driver for XPS-> install

  After the installation of the driver-> all hard drives are displayed in the list.

  What all can update this sheet? HARD drive is already updated, then I'll upgrade the network card, as my system does not support ca 802.11. I intend to improve with Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.
