Install XP Professional back to factory settings...

My computer is HP Pavilion Media Center a1550a desktop computer and a year ago it

gave me some problems then one of my friends put on XP home on it... as

It wouldn't boot, I'd love to be able to restore to original recovery as

It was when I received it... There are a few problems and for some reason, it does not

on so easy you must activate it in and out several times until it decides to work... and freezes

When its idling... should I take on a place of repair or does have to go to a place of HP to be

If repaired so where is the closest on the NSW central coast... its not good as if it was...

It works too well, but a lot still seems to be missing, and this morning was a blue screen

that was a problem avast seems to be but still it froze when I tried to start...

as you press the button start and stop several times until she decides to go...

I have no idea how to get to recovery and I think it might have been formatted to

remove it... so, any one know which is best to fix or is there a way I can do

my self... I know a little things and can work in mode on the computer...

Thanks for any help...

Lorraine...

It can be a less costly problem and less for you to replace the PC with a new one instead of tryng to repair parts of the former.

Don't bite to $200.00 in the PC as is now only worth $ 50.00 if this is still a work PC.

A PC age and on the condition that your is is not even $ 50.00.

It is a seven year old PC and is no longer manufactured. Sometimes you gotta just go forward. I wish I had better news to give you but I did not.

Best regards

ERICO

  • Satellite A300-15 has back to factory settings

    Hello!

I have an old Satellite A300-15 and I want to go back to factory settings after almost seven years of never format the hard drive.

I did a little research on this 'how... "but I still don't know if the laptop comes with a windows recovery or not.

I have another laptop with a score of "windows recovery", but in my toshiba, the only thing I see is a recovery of HARD drive file in my E: partition. I don't really know if that helps the reinstallation of windows.

So if I reset the laptop with the method 'laptop computer Tower, hold the blah blah 0 button"it completely format my C: and need to reinstall windows or not?

    (Running Windows Vista)

How it works with the recovery image installation, you can read on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

Start your laptop with F8 and choose the option to repair your computer. Follow the instructions on the screen and you will be able to install the original recovery image.

Installation of recovery described called the installation of HARD drive recovery. With other words, saved on the HARD disk in the folder HDDRecovery recovery image will be reinstalled on the C partition only and the second partition of HARD drive will not be deleted or formatted.

In my opinion, that you create the recovery using disc (DVD) preinstalled creator Toshiba recovery disc. You can use created bootable disks to install original Vista. When you use discs, the whole HARD disk will be deleted, formatted, new partitions created and installed Vista end.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

    Hello

You can order a replacement set of the recovery media in the HP partner on the link below (I assumed the model No., you live in the United Kingdom).  These drives/flash player will automatically read the windows product key embedded in the bios.

  • Back to factory settings

Unfortunately, I managed to screw up some script in my registry entries, resulting in my not be able to uninstall my software Adobe Illustrator and InDesign (still less re - install!). Then - in a last-ditch attempt to solve the problem - I want to return to my iMac 21.5 back to factory settings and try to re - install all my software! Someone could tell me if this is the only way to solve this problem - and in this case, how do I go about this?

I tried several Time Machine relocations, but while he said that Adobe Illustrator and In Design are in my applications, they both have a Code 5 error message when I try to open them.

    Can someone please?

Your profile shows OS X currently installed 10.6.2, I doubt that this is correct. Please tell us which version of Mac OS X is installed, and then we can tell you what to do to configure the computer to factory settings. Basically, you will need to do a wipe and the installation of Mac OS X, but how step has changed between 10.6.x and current versions of Mac OS X.

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • How can I get my computer back to factory settings?

my computer is slow and I want to restore it back to factory settings, so this has nothing about it except the important things, like when you get everything first... does anyone know how to do this?

Note that if you save all the important things, it will be lost after the reset.

After the reset, you should get all the updates from Windows Update EXCEPT for hardware devices. Then, you install a good antivirus. ONLY AFTER you have done this, if you replace the stuff of backups or install anything else.

Your laptop is equipped with a recovery instead of disk partition

    .

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

You may need to try several times to get everything above to work. If after several attempts, you have no chance, or the machine indicates that there is no recovery partition, your only option is to contact the computer manufacturer and ask for the model recovery discs...
