Toshiba laptops of environment from 2007 is not a supplied recovery diskwith a purchase of a laptop. Instead, Toshiba has added a hidden partition on the hard disk that contains the same files on a recovery cd / dvd.

To reinstall your laptop to factory settings / "out of the box" settings, follow these steps. This worked for me and should work for you.

ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED FROM YOUR HARD DRIVE IF YOU CONTINUE. YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE POWER ADAPTER PLUGGED IN. DO NOT TURN OFF OR RESTART YOUR COMPUTER DURING THIS PROCESS.

(1) press and hold the power button for ten (10) seconds to turn off your device.

Please note: press and hold the power button on the computer requires to turn off. All unsaved data will be lost.

(2) press on and hold the value 0 (zero) button and at the same time, press the button power once to turn on your laptop.

(3) when the machine starts beeping; release the 0 key.

(4) when you are prompted by the warning screen; Select Yes to continue the system recovery.

(5) select recovery of factory default software; Click Next.

(6) select restore to out-of-box state. Click on Next to new.

7) click Next to start recovery.

I hope you find this solution step by step useful for you. If so, evaluate it upward.

  • On 10 Windows, Firefox installs and loads, but crashes at about 15 seconds later, even if I do nothing. This can be corrected?

This was happening on Windows 8.1, just until I upgraded. There are so many updates happening that I don't know what could have triggered this. I think I had just updated Flash and I see some comments on this. I tried the beta version of Firefox with the same results. It of just crazy that it installs and actually loads, but only for a few seconds and then it freezes and comes from the box with the message to send to Mozilla. So far, no help from them. A few times he asked me to synchronize my Firefox and this process has started, but then it crashed before it finished.

Sorry, you're not on a Mac. This is a correct version of the above for Windows:

Thanks for incident reports. Unfortunately, I think you need to temporarily disable or remove the iCloud bookmarks extension until the source of the problem or conflict is determined.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox. A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

Then, you can delete favorite iCloud of page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then you can find it on the right side.

Installation and first run of the FF, I get a collection box that is displayed for about 5 seconds after the program loads and displays the first screen. It obviously requires a response, but it contains no words. The box doesn't cause any Word show either. the screen takes over and no other button cannot be clicked: I have a hardware failure on FF.

Empty the gray bar, box, box white, question mark?

This irritating box was related to an add-on for AOL. In order to remove the extension of the problem, you will probably need to start Firefox in Safe Mode so that it does not work.

You need to close Firefox anyway, you can, for example:

    • ALT + F4
    • Right click of its mosaic on the taskbar > close all windows
    • (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) Task Manager

To start Firefox in Safe Mode, hold down the SHIFT key while double-clicking the shortcut.

A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

Then you can go to the Add-ons page using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right, locate AOL.

  • Need HELP! -The installer and excutable issues

    Hello

I created a Labview installation program to install an executable file (.exe) on a clean machine, who has no any product of Labveiw, so the executable can run by itself without the evoriment of development. Given that the program needs to use sub - VI DAQmx so I include the engine runtime and DAQmx and everything that makes setup > 1.2 GB. At first everything went well.

Now, we have to make some minor changes in the source code. My question is, what do I have to redo the installer every time for minor changes? I've seen the system creates several files when I build an executable:

    An .exe file

    A single file .aliases

    A configuration file

    A "Data" folder

Can I just copy these files to a place so new version of the executable file can run without HAVING to build a new installer which exceeds 1 GB?

Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated!

This is the same process as the regular creation of an installer.

Way the easiest is probably to copy your existing full installer and then removed the additional installers of the copy and rename your copy as a hotfix.

(i.e. make sure you just deselect the additional installers of the page indicated on the attached screenshot)

  • During the installation and activation of google chrome, I lost my taskbar

    Original title: Google Chrome

during the installation and activation of google chrome, I lost my taskbar. How can I reinstall my taskbar?

    Hi Frank,.

    1. do you receive any error messages?

    2. have you restarted the computer once installed google chrome?

    3. not this problem occurs when you run a specific program or out of order?

This problem can occur for the following reasons:

    • Auto-hide the taskbar has been selected for the taskbar and Start Menu Properties.
    • Your user account settings are corrupt.

Method 1: Make sure that the hide option automatically is not selected for the taskbar

To determine if the hide option automatically is not enabled for the taskbar and Start Menu properties, follow these steps:

    a. press CTRL + ESC.

    b. If the Start menu is displayed, click on the Start menu and then click Properties.

    c. click on the task bar , clear the Auto-hide the taskbar option and then click OK.

If the problem persists, you can proceed to method 2.

    2 method: Recycle Explorer.exe

Try to recycle Explorer.exe by opening the Task Manager (you can use Ctrl + Shift + Esc), selecting explorer.exe in the list and choosing end process.

Now go to the file menu, choose new task and type in Explorer in the Open box. Press on enter and explore should restart itself.

Check whether the taskbar is visible now.

Hope this information helps. Provide more information so that we can help you.

  • Professional Windows does not see my hard drive during installation and wants to leave the installer.

installed the new hard drive in my compaq lap top, started the professional windows installation and stops because it cannot find the hard drive. It is in the bios and has passed the tests. My lap top has only a cd/dvd drive, a floppy drive. Not knowing what to do.

It is probably because you have a hard drive Serial ATA (SATA) in your computer.  These drives did not exist when Windows XP came out and so no drivers for this type of disc can be found in a regular Windows XP don't install.  Windows makes allowances for that by inviting you to press the "F6" key at the beginning of the installation process, but then you must provide the SATA drivers diskette (no other medium will do).

"Limited OEM driver support is available with F6 during installation of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003"

There, several articles that explain how to install XP on a SATA drive without needing a disk.  Here are a couple of them:

  • I can't get updates since SP2 installation and update of the Windows Update Agent.

I have Vista Home Premium 64-bit.  I have done 3 installs clean for several days and each time I install SP2 and update the Windows Update Agent I can't get updates.  When I click search for updates, it just keeps looking for hours and hours and never stops looking.  I tried several solutions on the internet, including those found here.  Of course, the first thing I did was run the Fixit of Windows Update tool.  He could not solve any problems found.  He gave the error code 0 x 80070005.  I installed the SubInAcl.exe and run several different command text and a text of the batch.  The batch text did nothing.  The texts of order had errors of syntax and a file, he could not access.  I ran the System File Checker, and it finds errors, it could not fix.  I just did a clean install on this machine 6 or 8 months ago because I was going to get rid of the computer, so when I put in place I used the username user.  I came across no problem at all when I installed the operating system and update everything.  Since then, I decided to keep the computer, so I wanted to have it in my name.  As I said, this is my 3rd try.  I am willing to give.  Maybe someone here can help.

I tried two clean installs and I get the same thing.  Once I have installed SP2 and the new Agent update, I can't get more updates.  It keeps only the search for hours without results or error messages.  I tried all of the suggestions I found on the internet, but nothing works.  I get always the same error code 0x80070005, when I run the Fixit of Windows Update tool.  There must be a way to solve this problem.  Why I was able to do a clean install of 6 or 8 months without any problems, but now I can't.  It makes no sense at all.  I really hope someone who knows the answer reads this.

    Ralph C.

I finally got it!  I tried two other proposed solutions, then I ran the System File Checker, which is no problem, then I ran Check Disk.  Check disk found and repaired files in the file system of BITS among others.  After that, I'm now completely up to date with Windows Update.  I was ready to give up.  I'm glad I did not.  For anyone else having similar problems, don't give up, the answer is there.

  • After uninstalling printer Windows Installer and Microsoft Office error "this update package not could be opened"

Original title: Windows Installer and Microsoft Office problems after you have uninstalled the printer

I tried to install more than one printer, a HP Photosmart C4280 by downloading the drivers and updates on the HP site. I uninstalled the printer after it failed to scan a document and I had no more use for it. Then the trouble started. When I tried to open some programs (iTunes, Skype, etc.) for the first time after the uninstall of the printer, a window "Windows Installer" popped up. After you have configured Windows Installer, the program would open normally. However, when I try to open any Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), Windows Installer appears, but it turns into a window that reads:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package. »

Microsoft Office programs are open at all, and I desperately need my programs of Microsoft Office to work even faster. I would appreciate it if Windows Installer will stop trying to configure when I open a program also. Can someone help me please?
