  I just do a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro on a Dell laptop. NEW installation, no antivirus, no exotic configuration, no strange software, just Windows 7. My goal now is to upgrade to Windows 10. But the installer of Windows 10 has been blocked to the phase "Get updates".

  I have re-installed Windows 7, from scratch and installed the December 2015 customer Windows Update 7.6.7600.320. Same problem, no way to get updates.

  My currently installed updates list contains only a single element: KB976902. And the updated history list contains only the Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320.

  Of course, the Windows Update service is running.

  So now how can get out of this situation? Thank you.

• Precision T3500 recognizes the new HARD drive

  I have a new 4 TB Seagate hard drive that I'm tempted to install than the third HDD on my Dell Precision T3500 system. The BIOS detects the drive fine, but nothing in the operating system (Windows 7 64-bit) find it - no disk, Device Manager or Seagate diagnostic tools management.

  Seagate support said the only thing that might be, is that my fast storage Chipset driver needs to be updated. It's a little out of my depth. I tried searching for a driver updated via the Device Manager, but it says my driver is up to date, but that date is 2010. I downloaded these files:

  Did you buy just the Premiere Elements or the combo of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements?

  2 make sure you use the serial number correct for the appropriate program - especially if you purchased Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. Where do you find the serial number for what you are trying to install - email from Amazon, packaging information, other?

  3 make all download and installation with antivirus and firewall disabled.

  Just small note; Norton antivirus software is the part of the image and it can not be installed separately and cannot be ignored.
  As Xander already said try to clean the registry entry manually
