Installation of Apache on VIMA

Is there a simple way to get Apache running on the device of VIMA?  I use script healthcheck of kick-ass William and a few other scripts for moving reports html ever 30 minutes, then using logrotate to archive the week reports.  I would just throw these reports to a Web server and instead of creating a new virtual machine running Apache, I prefer to use the same box.  I'm not an expert in Linux.  I tried to install the Apache RPM, I downloaded, but there are some missing dependencies.  I also tried to use YUM, but all repositories are defined on VMWare and no public repository.

I would not recommend the installation of Apache on your management system of VIMA, just because it is the system that you use to manage your hosts and, possibly, your VM (s). You want this system is entirely secure and introduce something like web services may open potential security vulnerabilities. Secondly, given that it is a striped version of RHEL, there will be many dependencies that will fail and if you download not supported rpm on the net, you can break other things within the system. Not to say that it is not possible, you can probably resolve the dependency using some research online, you can compile the source apache server, even if I don't remember the c/cpp compiler, which is installed by default.

I highly recommend that configure you another virtual machine to run your apache server, you can probably find some default virtual appliances on VMware device section. You can then configure a paired SSH keys between VIMA and your server apache for scp html more recent reports on your server, this will allow you to automate this process without having to manually run the jobs.

Happy, you find the VMware health check script very useful

  • FMS 4.5 with existing Apache installation

    Hello

I installed FMS 4.5 on an existing Web server that is already running Apache.

I have installed FMS 4.5 and checked the Apache installation option, so there is no conflict.

When I use the sample page of videoplayer, I can't have one manifests work, even if the fms.ini is not at the root of the existing Web server.

I need to configure to get 4.5 FMS to talk to my existing Apache Server?

    Thank you

I thought I read a thread discussing this problem but I can not find (try searching).

I don't know if that answers your question, but the following explains how to use one existing installation of Apache HTTP Server other than the one that installs with Flash Media Server:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/configadmin/WSd391de4d9c7bd6093a7e2f8312a374a-1bde - 8000.html #WS565cbb3ff5441e2614fa39ef13121395a10-8000

The subjects are quite similar to the steps proposed by the article could point you in the right direction.

    > I have installed FMS 4.5 and checked the Apache installation option, so there is no conflict.

Please note that the article asking you to install Apache as part of FMS to copy the Apache files to the other server. You may have to re-intall FMS with selected Apache Server, follow the instructions above, then uninstall the Apache server that should not be used.

    Good luck.

  • Help FMIS - first installation

Hello, I really need your help...

Its my frist at the time of install FMIS on my server dedicated.

And excuse me for my English is french speaking... I hope you can understand me...

I have Windows Server 2008 R2 with the IIS web server.

My site is installed on IIS.

    I have 2 ip:

XX.xx.xx.38 (Web Server - dedicated IP)

    XX.xx.xx.107 (another IP not usage)

    My question is:

1 when installing FMIS, I need install with Apache or not?

2 - If installation with Apache... I need to configure for Apache to do not have problem with IIS?

    3. If not install Apache... how I can access the admin console? I need to copy the FMIS webfolder in my IIS?

I'm trying to install and I don't choose install Apache... And the result is:

I see in the newspapers that my server is running and I managed to connect

but I can't go to my admin console. I have error that IE not accept module I think is shockwave

But in install I do not change ip or anything...

Can you help me with this?

I'm sorry but I find it hard to just what is the problem you are experiencing.

Try xx.xx.xx.107 for adapter Hostport i.e. Configuration

ADAPTER. HOSTPORT = xx.xx.xx.107:1935, 80 in your fms.ini. -Restart the server and see if you can connect to your FMS using xx.xx.xx.107.

If it works - it means FMS is tuned properly and cross connections. If this is not the case, see your edge or masters newspapers to see if all the listeners began or was there some mistake of binding to the ip and port.

  • Installation of PHP on FMIS 3.5

I recently installed and implemented a FMIS 3.5 configuration and my web developer wants to have php on the server to create dynamic content.  It's not for the life of me, I can get PHP to work on the server.  Are there special instructions that must be followed with this special version of Apache that is already installed?  Or is there a particular reason that I must use this version?  If it won't hurt no matter what, I'm more than happy to just uninstall and install my own Apache module, but also, I don't want to limit or cause problems in the future by doing so.

    Thanks for any idea.

I have exculisvely run FMS with a version of another apache then one delivered with FMS by doing so, you get more support for apache... what you do is uncheck the box for the installation of apache when install you FMS then install apache with PHP and FMS connections are supported through rtmp connections no configuration of php or apache is necessary to the functioning of the FMS.

No need to change anything on the host, because it will lead the 192.0.0.1 if you follow the example.

    Comments for what?

    for example 192.0.0.101

u said "attach the virtual machine to the VMnet." what is meant by this?

Attach the virtual machine to the VMnet you configured to 192.0.0.0

and what is meant by "virtual network in the host address will be"XXX1"."?

On the host virtual network card will be created with address 192.0.0.1 if you follow the example.

    Hello BeamJinn,

The port on the local host to the live preview changes all the time?

If you specify a URL of Base Live Preview, so you need a webserver running on this address and port.

    For example:

If you are running an Apache Server on port 8080, you must enter http://localhost: 8080 as the base URL. If you now work on your files in the folder of your installation of Apache document root, you should be fine and the live preview should work as expected.

but when we use echo getenv ("LD_LIBRARY_PATH"); in php, the output is "/ opt/oracle/instantclient_11_2.

now, the strange, that it's as random as it appears he disappears we can load the web page without a problem and after a few clicks of the error is back. If we wait for a cup of seconds you can reload the page and it loads normally.
The error seems to be random and we get it over and over again, it comes and goes after a cpl of pages are read. It seems to appear more when there are multiple users browsing the Web site.

Is there any solution for this? is this a known bug? It seems strange that the instant client works sometimes and fails a second later without a change in the system.
    Hope someone can help us.

I guess that the problem is an incorrect configuration setting that I simply do not see.  Tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Peter,.

All of your settings seem to be fine except for the manifet file. Your directory structure should be E:/videos/test /, your manifest file urls must be:... /.. / HDS-VOD/test/sample1_500kbps. F4V. F4M

This is because the URLS in the manifest are taken from the url of the manifest file. Thus, when you... / HDS-VOD/test/sample1_500kbps. F4V. F4M, demand will be like hostname+"/vod/hds-vod/test/sample1_500kbps.f4v.f4m but you need individual applications to be hostname+"/hds-vod/test/sample1_500kbps.f4v.f4m

Please try with your manifest as:

    http://ns.Adobe.com/F4M/2.0">

Let me know if it helps.

    Thank you

  • maximum of 30 minutes with HLS - VOD for iOS device

    Hello

I'm having a problem with Flash Media Streaming Server 4.5

When you play a movieclip that is longer than 30 minutes, he plays well if I listen to a flash client, but when I use hls - vod to send it to an Apple device, the player says that the file is long 30 minutes exactly.

The license should not be the problem since I could distribute 500 flash-clients at the same time a few weeks ago.

    The OS is CentOS 5.5

    Any ideas?

You should check the configuration of the hls VOD licence.

Check if your file httpd.conf (apache configuration file), you have a location tag for hls - vod, something like this

    True HLSHttpStreamingEnabled

    HLSMediaFileDuration 8000

    HttpStreamingContentPath '... / webroot/vod.

    HLSFmsDirPath "..".

    Options - Indexes FollowSymLinks

and there HLSFMSDirPath points to the location of the folder the FMS licenses.

For example, if you have the file licenses FMS to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 4.5\licenses

Then HLSFMSDirPath must be set to 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 4.5\'... It may be relative path because it comes in default installation of apache with FMS.

    Restart the server after...

    Thank you

FMIS runs and I can connect via Flash Media Encoder.

Displays and Web administration console: 1111 gives the xml output, however

During the use of the user and the password in my xml files to connect (tests with ping), I get the error "user Admin password and valid user name required.

Please see the installation log files because "RW-50015" is a generic error. This error is mainly due to lack of packages of OS pre - req., so please check that you have installed everything according to the instructions (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and upgrade 12 Release Notes (12.1.1) for HP - UX Itanium [762891.1 ID]).

In addition, please see these docs.

  • ColdFusion Launcher does not accept the password when you try to change the web server

I know this will sound stupid as wrong password is a password wrong, right? Well I swear I know my passwords and it's not having it.

I am running coldfusion 9 and I want to change the default internal server that I put it to the top with the installation on apache server that ships with mac OS x. So I started the coldfusion launcher and clicked the button Web server connection utility to set up, he asks a password to continue, but usually accept it... I tried both of the passwords that I use for stuff course where I was confused which it requested one, but is not having either.

I tried to change the password for the coldfusion administrator and still no joy. I know that sounds stupid, but I do not understand... How can I get if she does not accept my admin password... I have tried uninstall and try again once like stuff as it is a nightmare to get rid of my experience... always leaves a file somewhere that you can never seem to isolate who mucks upward following installation so I left it for the moment. Anyone got any ideas?

OK, you cannot double-click the wsconfig file, cause, then you are not running it as sudo, so you will not be allowed.  'sudo' is 'Super user' and allows you to run a program, temporarily, as a super user.  If you do that you won't have permission to edit the httpd config file.

    Try the following.

    Launch the Terminal

type: cd/Applications/ColdFusion9/runtime/lib (change the correct path if it is not the path to your ColdFusion)

    Press enter

    type: sudo java-jar wsconfig.jar

    Press enter

It should ask you for your password. Enter it and press ENTER again.

It should launch the configuration tool, this time with the appropriate permissions to modify the file httd.conf.

    Good luck
