Installation of CS4 on Mountain Lion?

Dear friends - could someone help please?

I bought a new Macbook Pro with OS 10.8.1 Mountain Lion (like the former, we were starting to die a death, being 6 years old). I have a perfectly legal copy of CS4 Design Premium, I need to install on the new machine. However, as there is no optical drive and the software is on a disc - how can I install with additional fees no hassles/No...?

On other forums that I recommend that you download a trial version, then enter the actual product code - but it doesn't let me do that Setup detects the download is not from the App Store.

Ideas, anyone...?

Download the free trial here: http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html

If you see an access denied page, you didn't follow all of the instructions for the download.

Use your serial number to install/activate.

You must disable (help > deactivate) the copy on your machine dying.

  • How to install CS4 on Mountain Lion successfully?

When you insert the disc 1 of Adobe CS4 and run the installation program, you will see a gray pop up screen "preparing for setup. Usually after this screen, you get to the selection screen usual what components to install as well as the prompt for the serial number. However, in some machines of Lion and Mountain Lion, CS4 will be glued to the gray screen "preparing for setup" and frozen at the last 7/8 bar. I note a disk partition mounted and disappear, but then again, it was a Lion. Lion mountain just refuse to load the selection screen for the installation.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but I came across the same problem, and my search brought me here. I finally understood the question. If you have tried to install and had the error of the AIR, and that you have downloaded the latest version of AIR as you are prompted to do so, and then you try to run Setup again, it will treat this as a custom installation. You have to scroll down through the programs on the right side of the window and Select the programs you want to install. Deselect Acrobat.com, Adobe AIR and Adobe Media Player (they can be downloaded separately later), but everything else selected, click "install". It will pass through the screen "Preparing for setup"- http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/installation-creative-suite-4-or.html

  • Installation problem on OSX Mountain Lion Jdev, please advice

    Hi all

I tried to install the 121200 JDeveloper Suite on my MacBook Air running OSX 10.8.5 Lion mountain for a few days but did not succeed.

I read each installation guide I could find, but still have not been able to make it work.

Does anyone have any advice for me, I really need to install this to be able to do the homework that we receive from the school.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kristoffer

    Hello

just installed the same yesterday without problem. Make sure you download the generic installation program (aka the JAR Installer). Then install Java 7 on your MAC and make sure it's the version of Java by default (of type java-version on the terminal). Then call java-jar .jar in the directory that you copied the downloaded files (by default, it is called "Download"). Wait for the pop up setup (may take a few minutes), and then install JDeveloper. The installation directory then has a JDeveloper / JDev folder that contains the start icon to use to start the IDE

  • Problem to install Adobe Cs4 design premium Mac Mountain Lion

    Hello

I changed my old Macbook pro (my OS was Snow Leopard) for the last new Imac. I have backed up on an external drive with Time Machine.

When I started for the first time on the new Imac with Mountain Lion, I've restored everything from the external drive.

But when I started Photoshop Cs4 or Illustrator Cs4, I received this message: error 150:30

So I don't unsinstalled of the creative suite, clean as recommended here:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4673667

    I downloaded a creative suite cs4 trial of: http://prodesigntools.com/download-Adobe-CS4-and-CS3-free-trials-here.html

But when I install it, the stop of the process after a certain time and a window appear with:

"This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which is no longer supported.

Please contact the author of the request for an updated version. »

I guess that the downloaded version is too old for the Mountain Lion.

Could someone give a hand to get it please.

    Thank you.

PS: I have my ID and my serial number

I used a downloaded version because there is no CD on the new IMac lector.

Mountain LION is not a platform support for Adobe Contribute CS4. The supported versions are recent 6.5 Adobe contribute and Adobe Contribute CS5. X.

  • Upgrade to the Mavericks without new installation Mountain Lion?

    Hi guys,.

I'm looking to upgrade my Mac to the Mavericks Mountain Lion (I do not want to Yosemite or El Capitan again that not all my software is fully compatible), but I was wondering if it was possible to not have to do a clean install, but just upgrade?  I know it was an option when Mavericks was the current OSX, but don't know if it's feasible now.

I have the installation of the Mavericks.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you!!

    Yes. Install it normally.

  • Photoshop CS4 and Question print Mountain Lion

I recently downloaded CS4 on my new Macbook running Mountain Lion Pro retina, and I am not able to print on my Epson 3800 printer CS4 versions. When I hit the "print" key, on the Epson 3800 printer light flashes once, but nothing happens.  The file does not even get sent to the print queue.

Photoshop CS4 otherwise works perfectly well on my Macbook Pro retina.  In addition, other applications on my Macbook retina print perfectly on my Epson 3800 printer.  For example, I can print from Aperture for the Epson 3800 printer very well.  I use the latest Epson driver on Epson site.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Peter,.

Since your Epson 3800 printer works well with other applications, a workflow work around would be to export your Photoshop file in a different format (for example, .jpeg, .png, .tiff or same .pdf according to what is your content). By exporting it in another format, you can open it using other applications (such as Acrobar Reader or preview) and print it from there. While this isn't the most ideal lsolution, it should do the trick if you're in a hurry to print.

To help identify and solve this problem in the long term, you can take a look at this help page: Trouble Shooting printing problems, Photoshop CS4 Mac OS.

This useful page lists all possible things, that you can do to reset it or fix the problem, it also lists a number of alternatives.

    I hope this helps!

And won't let me go any futher.

Your identifier Apple never bought Mountain Lion, so you can't install it.

You can buy a DVD of Snow Leopard from Apple and buy a code thus avoiding lion to be used in the App Store.

  • Setting up wireless after the installation of Mountain Lion

I have recently upgraded to Mountain Lion on my Mac Book Pro and am trying to set my HP Photosmart C4780 to print wireless via a USB cable.  I don't want to use WPS.  The problem is that the drivers were supposedly downloaded with Lion mountain and all of my research on the web, I agree that if I implement wireless using a USB cable, I need to do when installing the printer software.  When you try this a few days ago, the instructions I found said first to check for software updates by using the Apple app store.  I did and I got a message saying "no updates available".  After many hours trying to solve my problem, I finally gave up.  Today, however, while I was working on my laptop, I have message came up saying that the drivers for my printer HP were available.  I pressed the button install.  I tried to set up my printer with no luck.  Can someone give me some suggestions on what do I do please?  Thanks in advance.

In fact I already had on WPA.  I solved the problem and your initial solution was certainly helpful.  The problem was that by using the "Reset default" button does not seem to reset it.  I actually had to reset by a method that that is on this link.  http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-networking-and-wireless/can-t-see-the-hpsetup-network-on-my-MacBook-Pro-on-a-C4780/TD-p/193900  I appreciate your help.  He led me in the right direction.

  • Win 7 Boot camp on Mountain Lion. Upgrade to Mac OS Sierra destroy boot camp?

    HI people,

been my mid 2010 MacBook Pro OSX lion mountain for a long time. I have a boot camp partition installed with windows 7.

I need to work from home.

I recently got an iPhone 7 and it requires iTunes 12.5, which is not supported by mountain lion so I can't restore the backup of phone of my iPhone 5 to the new phone.

MY internet connection is shocking to iCloud backups will take forever to download then.

So if I decide to move on Cougar to macos Sierra so I can install the correct iTunes to my new iPhone version and thus keep all my old applications and data, will it trash my installation of boot camp windows 7?

  • How to clear El Cap and return to Mountain Lion

    Hello

I need to ask for some advice, because Apple computers are still a little clumsy. I have a late 2012 27 "iMac, and I blindly put on day of Mountain Lion to El Capitan. It turns out that it doesn't play well with Pro Tools 11, and Avid has no intention to develop PT11 to do this. So, I would go back to Mountain Lion rather than pay for the upgrade to PT12 right now. But I don't want to spoil, so I need some advice and clarity, please.

I just finished the Time Machine backup of my system.

I noticed that in my apps, Mountain Lion is sitting there for download. Should I download as the first, or wait until I do a restore (it will always be there if I erase El Cap?)?

The most important thing, I said, I have to do a 'CLEAN' of the Mountain Lion INSTALLATION.

Then, in what order should I do these things? Do the restoration ensures that it is an operation of "cleaning"?

    Any help much appreciated!

    Thank you!
