Installation of E-Business... mount point?

I try to install on RHEL EBS. I downloaded all the files of the Oracle's e-delivery Web site. I unzipped all the files downloaded from the site of electronic transmission.

The decompression program created 5 folders 1. oraAppDB 2. oraApps 3. Orleans 4. oraDB 5. startCD

As mentioned in the installation guide, I tried to run the adautostg.pl in the directory/startCD/Disk1/rapidwiz...

Below are the details, as seen in the file and answered...

Enter a path where the media pointing to be staged: / u01

The stage space will be created in the/u01/StageR12

Do you use AutoMount to mount/umount the media y/n? There

Location Enter the mount point: this is where I am stuck. Can someone tell me what I need to put in this option. Directory/file must specify this option?

Yet once I'm not installing a CD/DVD. I downloaded all files zip site oracle e-delivery in a folder and install EBS from there.

Help, please. Thanks in advance.

Hello

Yet once I'm not installing a CD/DVD. I downloaded all files zip site oracle e-delivery in a folder and install EBS from there.

When you use the e-Delivery Web site installation files you don't have to use script adautostg.pl to create the staging area directory, you just need to put all files in a directory (for example, / u01/Stage12), extract the files, and this will create the directory of staging area for you.

Note: 406138.1 - using electronic transmission with quick installation in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12

Once you create the directory area of the stadium, run md5sum to verify the integrity of this staging area directory - see (Note: 802195,1 - checksums MD5 for R12.1.1 Quick Install Media) for more details.

Kind regards
Hussein

It is unclear where you try to install Yosemite.

Open the DiskUtility to see if your external hard drive is recognized, you can force mount the drive in the menu drop-down

    Dear Sir or Madam,
After installation of Vista business, I have the folder Windows and Windows.0. Can I delete one of them? How can I check that I can delete to free up space. Windows folder takes GB 10.00 and file Windows.0 contains 26.3 GB. Thank you much in advance.

You can simply DELETE THE WINDOWS. O file if your computer is running norml:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933212
This will give you more space.

If your computer does not correctly him follow these steps:

The single was is to back up all you produce, programs, data, but does not back up the WINDOWS. O file. You can delete the folder before making the back-up. Back to the top of your files before you begin reinstalling Windows, even if you're reinstalling Windows on a hard disk partition. A clean installation replaces the current version of Windows and all personal files

On start-up MODE MINIMAL step #7 you want to make sure that DELETE you PARTITIONS
It will give you an option and a list for delete you old partitions

  • Mount point of the external SD card

I can't find the volume with Windows Explorer ARE. What is the path to the external sd card?

    This clarifies the paths:

    The mount points are:

    / Import/Storage/sdcard0 /.

    / Import/Storage/sdcard1 /.

    /SDCard and /sdcard2 are aliases.

To mount all readers with davdrive, just change the path in /sdcard davdrive to.

  • How to recover missing the mounting point on the standby server

Environment: Oracle 11.2.0.3 EE on Solaris

I have a Production database with a physical standby created and run in our remote data center and this configuration worked well for several years.

Recently, I had 2 two new mount points, added to the Production Server but unfortunately do not have their created on the standby server.  I did not remapped mounting points, so the layout is identical between the Production and standby.  At least it was.

I created several new data files on the Production Server using the new mount points.

Once I realized my mistake, I had additional mounting points created on the standby server.

I STANDBY_FILE_MANAGEMENT = AUTO on the day before, but obviously the new data file was not created since mount points were not available when they were added in the Production.

Without the mount points and therefore the new data files, on the eve, archive logs are not applied on the day before.  There are currently about 150 newspapers that must be applied.

Question: Can I copy the files of existing data from the Production Server to the standby server and Data Guard will know which archives newspapers must be applied to standby data files to bring them current with the files of Production data?

If this is not the case, how can I get the new data files created on the eve and a return to synchronization with the Production?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    -gary

Once the mount points are created on the eve, manually resume the managed recovery. The day before would have abandoned managed recovery so you don't have to make it work again. The transaction that has been reproduced that requires mount points should not proceed. Given enough time, the wait will catch up to where it should be. If it's not fast enough, then use RMAN to roll forward the day before as indicated in a previous answer.

    > Can I copy the existing data files on the Production Server to the standby server

N ° you can not do this.

    See you soon,.

  • Questions of NFS mount points

I have two questions about how the NFS mount points is in fact from the point of view NFS servers.

If the mount point of the 'outside' is considered as for example / ISO, would this mean

    1. that the directory is named "iso" or could it be a real name on the local file system on the NAS Server? (As in the names of SMB share, could be different from the name of folder.)

    2. that the folder is actually located directly on the root of the local file system, which is/ISO on the server, or would it be for example/dir1/dir2/iso and always to the outside as appearance / ISO? (As in the SMB, where 'share' creates a new root somewhere on the filesystem that is exposed to the outside.)

    ricnob wrote:

Thank you! It would be a typical NFS-Unix/Linux server?

    Yes.

So perhaps it is not defined in the standard how this should be done, but can vary between implementations? (* nix of course most common.)

Possible, but does MS ever meet standards? Even their own?

    RFC1094/NFS:

"Different operating systems may have restrictions on the depth of the tree or used names, but also using a syntax different tor represent the"path", which is the concatenation of all the"components"(file and directory names) in the name...". Some operating systems provide a 'mount' operation to make all file systems appear as a single tree, while others maintain a 'forest' of file systems... NFS looking for a component of a path at the same time.  It may not be obvious why he did not only take the name of way together, stroll in the directories and return a file handle when it is carried out.  There are many good reasons not to do so.  First, paths need separators between items in the directory, and different operating systems use different separators.  We could define a representation of network Standard access path, but then each path must be analyzed and converted at each end. Hello

In first Pro CC shortcuts "Following Mount Point" and "Previous Edit Point" seem to only work when the reference monitor is selected.

They don't seem to work when editing on the timeline, as they did in the previous version.

Is this OK or something I am doing wrong?

This does not seem to make a difference.

However what I found is that if I change the default shortcut keys< pgup=""> and it works OK.  I just changed the a and keys receptive and it seems fine.

Seems very strange, but at least it works.

  • What is the number of mount points created from a count of SAN space?

    Hello

When the disk assigned to a database are local, I understand that for the same size lot and small are better than little and large for parallelism. Is there a reason to have a more rather than less mounting points when the allocated space is of the SAN and we really do not know how many physical devices is the space from?

    Thank you

Yes, Sysadmin will create mount point associated with mulitple Lun there depends on your standard organization upward.

    for example.

I need following the mounting points. My standard lun size is 25 GB. Point mount - dimensions - Lun
    TEMP_TS - 50-2
Online_log1 - 10 - in this scenario, they will create 2 (10-15 GB) partition on one lun and assign mount points
    Online_log2 - 15
    Data_TS - 100-4
    Index - 50-2

    LUN---> Partition---> volume group---> Mountpoint (FS)
