Installation of Photoshop 6 new Mac fails

Bought PS 5 for Windows in 2011. Upgraded to PS6 and changed for Mac platform in 2014. Bought a new Mac this week and I tried to install PS6 on. After you have entered the serial number, I received this message on my screen: "serial number you provided is valid, but calling it a product was not found on this computer. Because my product "qualified" is probably my software PS5 and since it is a version of Windows, I can't install this on Mac first.

I presume that Adobe can only solve this problem, but I couldn't find a possibility to correspond directly with Adobe on their site (24/7 chat has been closed), give them my order number and serial number and get the issue resolved.

When you receive this message you need not install the older version.  You must only specify what version and then provide its serial number.  There should be an option to specify the eligible version.  The following document should help if you don't understand...

Error "this serial number is not for a product calling it" | CS6, CS5.5, CS5
