  Noel, thanks for your helpful reply.

  Jeff tranberry has suggested that the error code I got was probably due to some missing component in my PSCS6 (perm lic) install.

  I've disabled PSCS6 and then uninstalled PSCS6. Then, I went to CC and downloaded the version of PSCS6 CC. This went well. Afterwards, I ran the update from the HELP menu and a number of applications have been quickly updated.

  There is no problem "TRIAL VERSION".

  In addition, my cloud subscription has been activated in a few minutes.

  If you want, you can leave it on the first machine as a backup because you are allowed to have two active facilities.  If you want to remove from the older machine you should first turn it off (open an application and choose Help-> Deactivate).

  BTW, this problem never existed until I ran/installed Adobe CC for a year and I tried on Premiere Pro sucking and then uninstalled and cancel this subscription was a bear.  He always tried to register ingup for another year, in other words, he wasn't a Cancel option without some form of resign upward.  A PAIN!
