  No, you're talking about material sufficencey. I'm talking about hardware compatibility. Have you checked that your graphics card is supported by the program? And other material.

But you should not get this trial download. the error comes directly from Photoshop, not the computer, which I guess means photoshop has been said what to do exactly in this situation. When you get the error anyway? It doesn't seem to install it then tell you about it, or does it upwards immediately, or somewhere in between?

  I do and if she had installed on my laptop Win 7/64 for over a year without any problems.  Just replaced my desktop and install copy 2 on it by license.

Try to install the program istall check my system profile then asks me the serial number of the product. all well up to this point, then on the next page, it tells me it cannot find an existing product to upgrade and asks me to insert the serial number of the eligible product. I have the full version of the standard cs3 on my Mac so I insert the number. OK so far. on the same page it asks me to choose my product qualifying showing cs3 extended in the box. However when I try to insert the standard cs3 I find there is nothing to change this option only one.  On the adobe website, it clearly shows that I should be able to update to the standard version, expanded. Can someone dvise me. I bought the upgrade of Apple and it is the international version.

  It could be you have been sent or given the wrong upgrade package.

  When you download, you should put the folder on the desktop. There are 2 files in the folder. There's the .exe file.

  In windows 7, the default is download folder if it is just a file or program. So, if the download is in the right download folder move to the office.

  Is there a Photoshop CS4 folder in your Applications folder? The Photoshop.app should be there.

  Did a little more digging.  I had to delete this file: program files Files\Adobe\backup\caps.db

  and then the setup.exe has started working.

  After getting Photoshop elements, I installed and registered the product to my PC 64 bit Windows Vista.  After Photoshop CS4, I installed the product on the same computer.  The installation went well, but when I start it, it starts as Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended. I entered the serial number (name on the tile is Photoshop Agreements) in the back of my CD case without problem.  It brings me to the screen to enter the serial number Photoshop Elements'. I select the version 6.0 and enter the serial number correctly, but I have the message "serial number does not match the product you selected."

  I don't understand why my serial number Photoshop Elements is not activating the program, or I do not understand why I got a Photoshop CS4 Extended trial of a case box and the installation of the CD has Photoshop CS4 written all over it...  If buy Photoshop like this has become as much as a chore, they must finish with the upgrade products and give away true complete versions of Photoshop CS4 for 50% off.

  OK, all this strange seemsa, but since this particular situation almost never appears (although there are many problems with regular upgrades) your only solution is to contact Adobe customer support.
