Installation of shockwave flash version 14.0.0176
Hello there, Mozilla,...)
I just checked my modules and told me to update my Shockwave Flash. I clicked on "update now" and he sent me to a page where it sets out in detail the potential problems with the version I have and to upgrade to version 14.0.0175 that (I think and hope) he has done to date. However, when I rebooted my computer, I checked again and it still says "update now". I have to honestly admit, I'm not all that 'tech savvy' and don't know what I should do next. I would be extremely grateful if someone could get back to me with some advice on what I should do.
Yours sincerely
Angela M Silverwood
You use the Mozilla plugin check page?
https://www.Mozilla.org/pluginCheck/
This Adobe test page will also show your current version:

It is possible to get a series of messages 'you must update' Web sites and also generated by other modules, so I suggest to check these reliable sources.

Then I click on "Download now" and it wants to install "Adobe DLM" (Download Manager) - but I get an error:

07/07/14, I was able to download the update to the Shockwave flash 14.0.0.125 to 14.0.0.145. Now, I followed the same steps, download, save, and run. Nothing happens. I checked the web site who told me that I still have the version.145.
Now, I have version adobe flash player active x 14 176, but still have the 145 plugin version. Thanks to try - I'll look at the forum again tomorrow and see if there is anything else I can do. I appreciate your trying to help.

Where can I find download of Shockwave Flash
I need to install shockwave flash player for the operating system Windows 7, 64-bit, with what I believe the instructions from Adobe's Internet Explorer 11, 32-bit. I get the download link for Shockwave Flash in different ways. But every time I click to download, I get redirected to the help page for the installation of Shockwave Flash in different versions and types of browsers. I couldn't even find Shockwave Flash listed in the forums, I was charged several times. How can I find the page with the download of the SWF player without being redirected to the help page?
It's here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Why a white dot appears on the left side of the screen when I have Shockwave flash on?
The Shockwave Flash version is 11.1.102.62. The White appears on sites that use flash objects. In this case the last 3 days. When I disable this add-on disapperas dot but the flash object support.
It could be that the Flash Player has a problem of setting for the graphic card drivers. It can disappear with the next Flash update. You can also try the Flash Player Forum, users could have reported similar problems.

As indicated in the question I have a problem with ' Shockwave Flash 10.1 r82. I use the Version of Firefox 3.6.10 on a 64-bit Win7. I tried to install the application for months and without success. Chrome works fine with the same application on the same computer. The problem is the installation is successful, but Firefox does not apply the upgrade file. Why? I don't know, but I'd like to get this figured out. Thank you

Why have I not two versions of Shockwave flash?
In the Add-ons Manager, I have two Shockwave Flash plugins, one is the latest version and the other is an outdated version. If I try to update the plugin it brings me to a page telling me that he was blocked. What should I do and I'd be worried about the other plugin open my computer up vulnerabilities?
Your system details list shows several Flash plugins.
- Shockwave Flash 11.8 r800
- Shockwave Flash 18.0 r0
You can find the installation path of the plugins on the topic: plugins page.
You can view the installation folder of Flash player for multiple Flash player plugins and delete older versions of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re) install the latest Flash Player.
- (32-bit Windows) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\
- (Windows 64 bit) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\
If there isn't that one Flash version presents then try to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox profile folder and perhaps as well to reset addons.sqlite the plugin registry data bases.
See re - initialize the database of plugins:

After update of mozilla firefox and come here to help another user pointed out that I had several Flash plugins below. Before updating, I was updating from mozilla firefox and Adobe. Of course, things were NOT up-to-date. I managed to delete the obsolete Flash and Adobe Flash Player plugins. I just want to know what that "more" updated the plugin and the player are while I know that I have the last and am new. I do the last firefox update now and I use Windows 7. Thank you! You people here are the best!
Note that your system details list shows several Flash plugins.

The plugin for Firefox is called Shockwave Flash and the latest version is 17.0.0.188
When it installs, Flash by default to update automatically, but if you need to manually update, you can use one of these pages:

Check the PLUG INS tells me that the Shockwave Flash plugin is obsolete. But when I check on the Adobe website, I have the latest version of this plugin (11.3.300.257)
I saw similar posts, but none of these. No, IE uses its own version of ActiveX of Flash plugin and that version will stay at the 11.3.300.257

Hi markm5452883,
Please see How to do a clean install of the Flash Player - Windows? to perform a new installation of Flash Player. If you have Windows after step 3 8.x, navigate to the
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash and C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash (if you use a 64-bit system). If the version 17.0.0.188 files exist, go ahead and remove them before continuing.

Update of Adobe Reader, Shockwave Flash and Java used to be so easy... until a year ago. Now, I hate when I run the Plugin Firefox check, only to see the UPDATE. I seem to be able to download ("initialization") the app, but when I go to INSTALL (I hope I have the right words), it indicates that the CONNECTION FAILED. Try again. THE CONNECTION HAS FAILED. CLICK FINISH TO RESTART THE INSTALLATION PROCESS. It became a cycle without end I contacted my internet provider (and going through their process of reboot) I'm connected to the Internet. I disabled my anti-virus prgm and my firewall; nothing seems to help. Last time I could actually INSTALL one of the programs/applications above, I did it with the help of ' solving problems when you use Firefox "... and who let me download,... but I can't find a selection like this now... it's why I write for Firefox/Mozilla.
I have been using Firefox for about 5-6 years now, and I love it! Except for these issues. I'm not a dummie, but not a geek either... I just need help.- See Flash Plugin - maintain and troubleshoot
- Use the adobe page
http://www.Adobe.com/software/Flash/about/
At the same time check the version installed, and which is the latest available versions.
You have a version 17 for what is very recent and are perhaps the most recent and up to date. The latest version is currently 17.0 v. 0.188
There may be some small problem with the auditor to update Firefox rather than with your updates.
- The Firefox Plugin checker is available in the page manager addons or use this link

When I put Shockwave Flash 17 'ask to activate', automatically, it does the same thing for Shockwave Flash 16. When I put 16 to "never", it changes from 17 to 'never' too. I don't see a way to remove Shockwave Flash 16. I use this on Firefox 37.0.1 on Windows XP. On another computer with Windows 8, same version of Firefox, only Shockwave Flash 17 shows in my plug-ins, probably 16A disappeared when I upgraded to 17.
Sometimes Adobe updater is not able to remove the old version during the installation of a new. Although the cleaner approach is to remove all THE Flash system using uninstaller from Adobe because it also cleans the errant registry entries, you could remove the old plugin manually as a quick fix file if you wish.
- Flash Plugin - maintain and troubleshoot third part has a list to the Adobe site to get the uninstall program)
- For manual removal using the topic: plugins page (type or paste on: bar plugins in address and press enter) to get the full path to the file on the disk

Shockwave Flash Player crashes
Used FF exclusively for years. Installed new FF recently, started by a script message does not respond, what led to the crash of Adobe Shockwave Flash Player message ever time I try to do anything. Tried to install the latest version, in fact, crashed during installation! Tried resetting FF, in addition to breaking. It became problematic for all work at all. I have noticed that a lot of people with this problem have talked about switching to chrome, may have to do the same.
I said several times that Flash was f ' n ridiculous to work with Firefox and most of the questions on this support site are due to this piece of crap Flash. Mozilla is building an alternative for Flash called Shumway. It is not available for daily use but is available in the night compilation very early (not enabled by default)
It seems that Flash is already at the latest version, right?
Try turning off hardware acceleration.

- Click settings on the shortcut menu. The Adobe Flash Player settings screen opens.
- Click the icon in the lower left of the Adobe Flash Player settings window to open the display panel.
- Remove the enable hardware accelerationcheck box.
- Click close to close the Adobe Flash Player settings window.
- Restart Firefox.
