  I'm unable to install Adobe Illustrator CS2 on my mac (OX Yosemite 10.10.3) because it gives the error "The Installation HFS disk no is not supported." However, the drive that I installed is HFS + and should be able to withstand that. In disk utility, I confirmed that the format is Mac OS extended (journaled), what is HFS +. I also ran check disk and disk utility repair disk, but both showed that the volume seems to be OK and I still couldn't install Illustrator.

  Does anyone found a workaround for this problem? I've seen a few old threads blocked on this issue, but they did not provide an answer to my question.

  CS2 can not be installed on OS X Yosemite at all regardless of the format of your hard drive.

  CS2 is a PowerPC application intended for the former PowerPC based Mac processors.

  Macs today have Intel processors that cannot run PowerPC applications without the Rosetta utility previously made available by Apple. OS X not supported Rosetta since OS X 10.7 "Lion" for Mac of today cannot run PowerPC as CS2 applications.

  Note: If you have the version CS2 Premium Suite, you need to download the standard and then download Acrobat and GoLive separately under their own serial numbers for replacement.

  In what concerns installation on Windows 7, you can install/run any version back to 4.1 in XP Mode. I don't remember right away if that is necessary for CS2.

  Here are complete instructions on how to install and use AL10 on Windows 7. If so, the same procedure applies.

  Run the computer in XP mode to install it. Here's how:

  In addition to what Lutz and Doug says, your CS2 installation required original activation to run, but the server for that activation has been disabled (sorry), so that you can install is no longer the old.

  I tried to reinstall my Illustrator CS2 on the same computer and than the "Wizard was interrupted" and unable to complete the installation. He never even got to the point of asking for the serial number (although theoretically should not need because I saved the installation data before deleting the old progam). Any ideas?

• Illustrator CS2 print help - Epson R1900

  I was printing to my Epson R1900 without any problem since Illustrator CS2 on my Macbook for a year without problem. I got a new Macbook, only a little more recent than the last, reinstalled Illustrator, and my print quality is now in the gutter. I tried to adjust the print settings, that I never had to do before, and it is still very poor. What I am printing are a few graphics, I've drawn on the screen. No images. In the output of print presets section, I can't resolve anything except reading or left reading right. Can anyone help? I don't know what has changed. All printer drivers are the same and are installed. The traits of lines look pixelated, as does the text. I know I could do "Vectorize" to improve the sharpness, but I never had to do that before, and I want to be able to edit the text later.

  Upgrade you your operating system as well and that's what has changed you will not be able to print the epson R1900 with smooth curved lines or smooth paths.

  Simply not possible in the most recent operating system above 10.5.

  That's what you need to do, print from Acrobat or if you rasterize the art and print that.

  Or save a psd raster and print from Photoshop.

  Or buy a software RIP.

  I've been looking and looking for a program to do something.  I work with children and others as a community volunteer.  My family and I are always here here to help especially when a child is in need.  I want to be able to take a person's name and form in a form.  We are struggling now to join the two ends meet so the monthly cost is out so I was looking for something cheaper and that might work.  I found the download of CS2 and decided to try it on my computer Windows 10 and it works great!  It does exactly what I need I can say.  I have bored into the serial number provided and everything and was so excited that it met.  However, I am an honest man and raise my children to be the same.  I saw where it said it was free for the former owners of Adobe products.  As far as I remember, we never had before Illustrator.  The cost may mean that I must remove the program, but I thought I'd ask anyway.  I also know that most would simply keep it and use it, but I do things differently.  Yes I love the program, that's what I need a long period and not the cost to do won't be easy and won't happen for awhile that we set up for her.  So should I buy the program or another version and if so where and how? Buy Illustrator CS2?  Should I reinstall or simply pay a copy having that I downloaded ok?  I do thanks in advance.

  You can not buy Illustrator CS2 the usual way more.

  You can only try and buy it in the market of software (which is dangerous due to fraud)

  If you manage to get a copy of legitimate market opportunity while you wouldn't in fine - need to reinstall (it is impossible anyway to install the versions in box).

  You can always buy CS6 version.

  And you can subscribe to creative cloud. Maybe you qualify for non-profit versions: given price non-profit non-profit Adobe & programs

  Also, you could ask the community what you work for, if they are already in such a program.
