BlackBerry smartphones another way to hard reset outside to remove the battery?

I sometimes have problems with my application memory leak, where he began the day around 29 Mb and slowly, for the rest of the day, sneaks down to about 5 MB. I'm still trying to identify what app is the cause. In the meantime, I have the work around by doing a hard reset by removing the battery for about 30 seconds.

QUESTION: is there another way (hold simultaneously several keys, etc.) to do the hard reset by removing the battery?

Thank you!

On 9000

Left ALT + RIGHT SHIFT + DELETE (hold them down until the screen is blank).

  • BlackBerry smartphones no way to actually download appworld 3.1.2 - please help

    Hello, I have a 9900 (t-mobile).

I tried to access the app store and said that to do this I need to update the application. I followed the prompt (click 'upgrade'); took me to a Web page, the only valid option is 'download it today "; clicked on it and was taken to a page with two links on this subject: 'View BB app world availiability' brings me to a list of countries with no link, and a link "change language", witch leads to a page with an 'English' link, which brings back me to the previous page.

Go to the download page for blackberry for the app (3.1.2) and I have a download email link to my e-mail address of bb configured. As before, I clicked on it and was taken to a page with two links on this subject: 'View BB app world availiability' brings me to a list of countries with no link, and a link "change language", witch leads to a page with an 'English' link, which brings back me to the previous page.

Then I navigate to the page with the bb browser and click on the download link and, once again,.
has been brought to a page with two links on this subject: 'View BB app world availiability' brings me to a list of countries with no link, and a link "change language", witch leads to a page with an 'English' link, which brings back me to the previous page.

I can't find any way to actually download this application, which is the method for downloading of all other applications. It is a worrying phenomenon.

Please HELP or give me an idea where to start with this question.

(Edit) I just did an assembly/disassembly by the desktop client - still get the prompt 'need to update', which brings me through the links lead nowhere, as shown above. I also removed app world and tried a new installation of the 2 ways this last mentioned above and got the same behavior. Something is happening with the download page?

    Try this:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

But give him maybe 15 minutes to "settle", without doing anything. Then, the first thing to go in the BB native browser and try the link again...

    Best!

  • Reset blackBerry Smartphones by removing the battery

My experience (using the torch) in 4 months was that there was a battery pull to reset the phone. I don't think it's a very good idea, my phone will last far too long in this way, the back cover will be replaced at any time earlier that I expect (2-3 years on my other phones). Y at - it another way for this reset the thing as a software trigger, etc. I don't remember having to do this way in my other phones before.

I think you can be looking for the simulated battery pull method or restart.  I use this (if necessary) when I have my AGF GRT case on my Torch (usually weekend).

To restart without pulling on the battery or a 3rd party app:

Hold down the ALT key, then press right SHIFT and DELETE keys at the same time. Until the red light appears, then release all keys.  This restarts your device and works on all devices with a standard QWERTY keyboard.  There are also applications 3rd party who will accomplish the same thing, but I think it works for me.  I hope this helps. ~ ecm

PS: I don't think you need to address why you're attending battery pulls.  I usually go without pulls/reboots unless I'm upgrading of operating system or adding / removing apps & themes.

  • BlackBerry smartphones this message after each reset "Eception exception: java.lang.Error.

    Hello

Because I deleted some languages on my BB, and I kept the French, German and English language, after each reboot (after an update via BB Desktop Manager for example), I received this message:

    "Eception exception: java.lang.Error.

I select 'OK' and that's all, but I want to solve this problem...

    Thank you.

    Hello!

If you get this reliable error, then it is very likely that something in your OS device is damaged. This type of error is the "final" in the programming code - an event has happened for which there is no event handler in the code. I suggest to try two things (in order):

    (1) whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot.

    (2) reload your OS:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Curve 8900 video streaming outside?

Hi I recently signed up to 02 web and text on the bolt and can receive fine outside of the web, but when I try and play streaming video to youtube, it says please change on WAP so I do and it doesn't work - what is because the 8900 does not come with 3g or what I need to do something or to download something?

Please excuse me if I do not sense im a beginner

    Concerning

The 8900 has 3G. It should not be a difference streaming video in or outside.

Try a reboot and try again the streaming video... With the BlackBerry device under voltage, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry is frozen, it is safe to remove the battery while it is?

It's a curve 9320, I bought two weeks ago. There is no data plan, I just use our WiFi at home.

My curve has moments where it freezes so none of the buttons work (including the off button). Sometimes, he thaws when I plug in the charger and other times it doesn't. When this happens I let battery short of energy and load it, then that's fine for a while. It takes time, so I wonder if it is safe to take out just the battery? Or it's a bit like hard - boot a computer when it is not good for the system?

Recently, he was freezing when I go into my text messages. I know that this is not a memory problem, I remove messages after I finished a conversation. And I'm not a very conversational person in the first place. XP

Yes, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • Where blackBerry Smartphones on my Berry B Curve 8330 to activate THE Java program?

My CURVE 8330 B Berry model a JAVA programming but I had recently another program to tell me that Java is NOT enabled, where and how can I go into the phone to put the program in Java?                                                         Please help; Sincerely, Charles PS had my curve only about a week or so now todays date Sunday Jan.25, 2009!

There is no 'turning java' on the BlackBerry.

Question is: why do you think that you need Java?

    Hello

I have the BB Pearl 9100 with OS 6.0.0.723. I try to update/install Apps via the desktop, but every time that I try to do that I get a message "content protection is enabled on the device, please turn it off & try again.

But the content protection is disabled in Options-> Security-> Encryption (the device memory & Media card both are disabled for encryption). I disabled all the options out there, but still, I get this weird message which is not let me update my applications.

    Help, please!

    Thank you.

Try to reset the BB by pulling on the battery or restore factory settings
First try a battery pull (remove the battery with power and wait about 30 seconds and then replace the battery in the camera) and then try to install it from App World. If that fixed it, try to go through some steps below.

    http://BTSC.webapps.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB18998

You will also need administrator rights on your PC (Windows 7) to install the plugin.
    If not try this

Create a new user account on your computer with ADMINISTRATOR privileges and download the latest version of your favorite browser, Chrome or FireFox

Now, go to this Web site
    http://appworld.BlackBerry.com/WebStore/

You be asked to download the PlugIn once again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones no response when you try to click on the links on web pages

    Hey y ' All

This is a problem that came only in the last day or two...

Had my Blackberry 9000 for a few weeks and have been able to use internet with it with no problems. However in the last two days, I find that I can no longer click on all links using the trackball. There is no response either whenever I tried to click on the links. This is valid for all websites on all three of my browsers on the device. Text based links, I can just use the command 'Get Link' or press 'enter', but these options are not available for links based on java as the buttons of opening session on Yahoo and some other sites, therefore, I can not in them.

In addition to the above issues, the trackball seems to work very well. I am able to click on bookmarks, that seems to work... and all the other functions of the trackball (AFAIK) seems to work very well. It's just when I'm on websites that I can't click on the links either.

    I hope this makes sense

    Thank you

    Greg

Have you tried to reset the device by removing the battery for a minute? After that the battery is given to, it will restart in any 1-3 mins, then try it

I tried connecting to the blackberry Desktop Manager and he knows that the phone is connected computer just used connect fully. Thank you.

    Hello

Ive just spent the last 4 hours trying to untangle the little sisters of my GF after that she has downloaded a theme that just froze EVERYTHING.

It's pretty simple, you need to do:

    1. remove the battery

2 reinsert the battery - but keep an eye on the LED on the top right

    3. when the LED turns off (after a few seconds) press ESC (the escape key is the the winding arrow to the right of the beach towel)

    4. keep the presses until the process on the start screen bar is complete.

    5. This will start the phone in "safe" mode Click OK in all messages telling you your in safe mode

    6. now go and delete this app wasted hours of your life trying to remove!

    Hope this helps

  • I lost all my media files after removing the battery for blackBerry Smartphones

My employer asked me to remove the battery from the phone, as they had no trace of the IMEI no to my phone.

When I reinserted it all my media files - videos, sound time and pictures - were gone.

Again, I have all my contacts and continues to receive emails from work, so the phone had not been restored to preset.

I have never had a media card, so all the files are in the phone's memory, are they retrievable?

Now when I use the phone it wont let me not record a video as it is also no card inserted media. It wasn't a problem before.

Why the battery would cause the memory to wipe?

    can anyone help?

What is a device issued to the employer?

You are on a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) business account?

    The card is inserted correctly?

Options > memory, made it sets out a memory card?

try removing the battery for 15 seconds then replace and see if the problem is resolved.
