  Help, I have a small embroidery business and have used a program called Embird.  Yesterday, I downloaded an upgrade for this program. It said to uninstall the old program before installing the new, so I did.  Now when I try to install the new one it says this link must be opened with an application, select application.  I have no idea what it means that someone can help me?  I tried to restore the computer to a date prior to just start all over hoping he would restore the old Embird, it says that the file may be damaged and will not work.

  If you were able to 'merge', you have unzipped the file somehow.  What was all the messages when you did the merger?

  Follow these steps:

  This error message simply means that they use a browser for their email and not an e-mail client AND seek to "send to" or some other function, an e-mail client is required for.  I suspect that there is something unique on the link of the web site or anything else on the site.  I suspect since you are the owner of the site/page (and probably have an e-mail client installed) you do not see the problem, but those who do not have an email client.

  It is a problem with the Facebook site or web page and not with your system.  It is not something you can do about it except maybe try another browser, when you use Facebook and see if that makes a difference...

  Hello, and I want to thank you in advance for the revision of my question.

  I've been searching for an answer on how to solve this problem for some time on the internet, and I'm still lost. When I right click on 'My Computer' on my desktop and select 'Properties' to see things such as my system partition and the RAM installed (I just put in a new kit yesterday, but the problem was before then.) or to perform administrative tasks, System Specs list shows nothing under CPU or RAM. I know that I have a single-core CPU clocked at 1.86 GHz and the RAM I installed is 2 GB, but the lack of information on this page that bothers me.

  I get no error message, it is simply not there. I'm not entirely sure when the problem started, so I don't know what software I installed around the time that is past, or if I've changed anything in the system. I tried to update my system partition, but I cannot think of anything to fix. Google has failed me.

  Does anyone have a solution? Even a list of things I could try (successfully or not) would be greatly appreciated.

  OK, here's the solution: My Windows Management Instrumentation service has been disabled. I searched for 2 hours again tonight for a solution. Someone said to remove a certain folder and restart this service. I went in my list of services, and I found that the service has been disabled altogether. I don't know how it happened, but when I put on "Automatic" and he began, my information was correctly once again! YAY!
