  I tried EVERYTHING... I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers I have took over the factory settings and when I did it it worked fine until it updates settled last night while I was running a scan for viruses and spyware.  is there sort out trial and error to see which update screwed up my sound?

• Adobe Muse would not be updated. So I uninstalled and then re-installed. Now, I've lost all the sites I've created with it. Please tell me they're on the cloud somewhere?

  Whenever I opened my Muse he told me there's an update. So, every time I click on the installation and then he told me it was already installed, but it wasn't.   OK - so I see that there are few people complain of similar problems, so here's my problem:

  1. new installation of Windows 8.1 (64) - Dell laptop with 8 G of RAM and INTEL graphics card

  2. before this - the m / c was running an old version of Skype perfectly on Win7 Pro

  3. check all drivers up to date.

  4. all recommended/important updates apply.

  5. installed Skype 6.22.64.104 had to reboot and re - sign in to Skype before my contacts came.

  6 first test - call Echo - right pane goes gray, cursor weaves, echo replies and I can record my voice. BUT no way to put an end to the call that the right pane is still not virgins a GRAY.

  7. after a certain time - bombs of Skype with an exception.

  8 exception and dxdiag that attached in the zip.

  NB my Skype app on an iPad is still running - even IOS 8.1.1.

  Just re-installed 6.22.64.106 after uninstalling the version 6.14.

  Thanks for reminding me that my laptop gas also a graphics chip GeForce - bug * d if I know why I need this because I've NEVER played a game on the PC - and I have no intention to do:-O.

  In any case, your comment made me think - WHY Skype is trying to UNLOAD a driver:-O.

  So - I checked the settings of device for the GeForce card Manager and surprise - Windows tells me its dat yo:-O.

  So I downloaded the graphical tool GeForce GeForce 'experience' and IT tells me that my GeForce driver is actuall up-to-date (by YEAR): - O - thank you Microsoft:-O.

  -J' so installed the new version, Skype, uninstalled, reinstalled 6.22 and BINGO - it now works BL * Y!.

  So WHY Skype plans even with some "games graphics driver? By the simple act of switching, it in or out - blocks Skype:-O.

  In any case - folded findgers - his work WITH the latest Skype:-O.

  Windows Messenger has informed me that it will soon no longer running, and that I had to switch to Skype.  I previously did not have Skype on my computer, so I followed the instructions for the installation of messenger-hotmail-Skype.  I had no problems with the Setup, and Skype works fine.  But now my computer sounds (as windows starts, shut down, etc.) do not work.  I went to the control panel and tried to switch to a different style to reset, tried test the individual sounds, but none of them work.  The option to test the sound of each effect works, I can click on the button, but no sound.

  So they are pregnant Dell with standard 3.5 mm USB powered plug (* and even the green port plug in as shown in the picture)?

  Therefore, the USB plugged into the port in the back of the computer for power to the speakers?  Try a different USB port - just to see if the chosen one does not provide the necessary power.

  Make sure that the speakers are turned on and the volume is turned all the top (to the right).

  Make sure that the sound output is not cut on your computer (plug in the headphones to check what you mean by them.

  Plug the 3.5 mm of the speaker to the green port on the computer (see photo above.)

  If you don't hear sound... Unplug the plug 3.5 mm and touch something metal - static electricity?  The speakers become power at all?

  Latest update downloaded Sype November 1 but when I went to use it offline (crashed) whenever the video begins to have. Auidio looks very good. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the software Skype both Lifecam without success. Today, I uninstalled Skype 4.1 and found and downloaded an earlier version (Beta 4.0). The video now seems to work OK though I think the image is not as good. I'll try to call some friends tonight and see if it still works.   I have a problem with Windows 7 I tried to solve by looking online, go to the Microsoft Windows 7 and appellant community Microsoft technical support phone line.
  I have triedthe suggested online solutions and when I called Microsoft Technical Support, I was told that they thought might be the problem and I was told that if I wanted to try the remote solution, I agree to pay $99 or sign for their $49 per month. I tried what they thought resolves the problem by getting the online instructions but it did not work.
  Here's the problem: I set up our desktop computer with the operating system Windows 7 (I love good Windows 7) and then installed a second hard drive with all of our documents and files in the computer.  When I try to open the files on the second hard drive, I get the message that the file is read-only.  When I try to change the attributes of the file or the folder that the file is in and then try to open the file I get the same message.
  I followed a suggestion that I read online that works (set at its lowest setting user account control), but now our computer has no protection against unauthorized manipulation.
  Can you tell me how I can get help for this problem?
  I tried: 1. make a new account administrator 2. Using the attrib command and 3. used the digitization program to repair corrupted as the file to user profile files.

  When you right click on the files read-only, you have the "Take Ownership" option. Once you have correctly taken possession of the file, you can then change the properties of this file to remove the read-only.

  The audio device may not have been set correctly

  Method 1. Verify that the default audio device is correctly set
  
  1. click on Start sound in the box type start search.
  2. click on sound in the results of search at the top of the start menu.
  3. click on the tab reading notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is speakers. If you are using speakers as the sound device and speakers are already set as the default device, go to method 5 now.
  4. Select the audio device you want as the audio device by default, and then click set as default.
  5. click on the Properties button, then select the levels tab and make sure that the volume is at 100 and not dumb.
  6. click OK to save your settings and close the Sound dialog box.

  Method 2. Reload the current sound driver

  1. click on type of Start the Device Manager in the start search box and press ENTER.
  In the Device Manager dialog box, expand of sound, video and game controllers.
  Look for the audio device that was included with the computer.
  2 right click on the device, and then click Properties.
  Click driver , and then click Uninstall.
  Make sure to delete the driver software for this peripheral checkbox is disabled, and then click OK.
  In the Device Manager dialog box, click the Action menu, and then click find the hardware changes. You receive a message that States that a hardware device is being installed, and then the uninstalled audio device appears in Device Manager.
  Close the Device Manager dialog box.

  Method 3 Let us also ensure that your Audio drivers are up to date.

  Click the hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
  If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
  Click sound, video and game controllers , to expand.
  Under sound, video and game controllers, double-click the entry for your sound card, and then click the driver tab.
  Note If a driver tab is not present, the entry that you clicked on Sub audio, video and game controllers may not be the correct entry for your sound card. Try to click any additional entries listed under sound, video and game controllers.
  Click Update driver software.
  Follow the drier on the software update wizard to update the sound card driver.

• Windows 8 no sound at all

  Help, I turned on my laptop mode 'sleep' everything seemed fine is past on my fault as my things, so I went to play a video from hulu. I'm no sound at all. I thought it was my headphones, I have not disconnected the no sound tried another pair of headphones no sound. I tried to adjust the volume and the volume adjustment screw. The one on the bottom in the queue little that shows the battery and internet acess froze. So does the application in real time when I launched it and tried to adapt it from there. the integrated 8 win one works well even if there is still no sound coming from my laptop. I NEED HELP VERY BADLY, PLEASE HELP ME! (yes I tried to restart and I am about to install new drivers for the sound) Also just before I put it in mode 'sleep', I installed an update windows audio worked very well but after that.

  Had the same problem, its working ok, then suddenly disappeared. has followed all of the steps above, but nothing helped. Notice that the output device in my device manager was not my speakers but my digital output port on the back of my laptop. No internal speakers listed anywhere. programs enabled in the control panel to verify that my audio codecs Realtek was still there.  They showed that installed, but the version from January 2013. The off chance went to Realtek website, downloaded and installed the latest version of codecs for windows 8 64-bit.  Easy exe. file, uninstall old codecs then installs the most recent version. After installation, my internal speakers were still visible as the audio output by default, has been able to adjust and test the speakers and the volume again and, even better, they worked.  Audio test of my files music, videos on the web and a DVD/CD.  Everything worked as it should.  Guess something must have corrupted the codecs, but now, the computer is fine. Hope this helps someone.
