Installed update KB2434419 where he went?

Hi paulogergo

I've notified and was installing this 'new' windows essentials, where has gone? It is not found on my computer, however update mgr said "successful."

I already uninstalled the "Bing" tool bar. However, if I search "Vista Home Premium" nothing is... It's a wonder to me.

Suggestions appreciated!

    As you can hear, Windows Live Essentials 2011 is available. It will be available via Windows Update (WU) in the coming weeks, starting October 19. This software update will be available only to users who have activated the update via theMicrosoft Update service. For more information on Windows Live Essentials 2011 and why you want it,click here.

  • Vista forced me to install updates - now, my laptop won't start even

    This morning forced Vista my laptop to install the latest updates... and then everything went * pfff *.

    my laptop attempted to restart - exceeded the screen with the Green loading bar, and then he stopped, leaving a black screen.

    so I forced a stop, restart and vista suggested 'launch Startup Repair' I did. Several times. Sometimes it ends and suggests what to do a "system restore." so I press 'ok' - then it tells me that it cannot restore the system.

    I know that's not a problem with the memory because I managed to run the memory-default-checker tool

    What happens ____?

    I reallly need to my laptop to continue my master's thesis.

    Help, please!

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:
    1. a System Restore to before the updates:
    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next
    If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.
    If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:
    Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.
    System restore steps according to the info above.
    Also:
    2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window
    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it

    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".

    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.

    If you want Office 2007 updates to appear in the installed updates again, you would need to uninstall/reinstall Office 2007 and install all the updates again.

    Assuming that Office 2007 is installed & working properly and no update is offered when you run a manual check for updates now, you might want to leave enough alone (that is, do nothing) - then see if the 2 updates for Office 2007 SP3 be released next Tuesday (a) receive, (b) successfully install and (c) are listed in the installed updates later.

    PS: The possible causes of the problem are messing with registry cleaners, messing around with the Software Distribution folder, and the fact that it was a computer refurbished when you bought it.

  • Installed update app

    I have a problem for a long time now.

    One of my friends gave me a cool app, it has purchased, through USB key. Of course, I need his Apple ID, to install updates.

    I didn't ask him his ID and password, so I decided to uninstall the application.

    The problem is that there is always an update on the Mac App Store, which is really annoying, because of the number in the Dock over the Mac App Store sign.

    If I want to install the update, Mac Apps Store asks me my friends Apple ID password.

    I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this question.

    Best regards

    Your solutions is quite simple. Download on the App Store, if that of where he came, locate the application and download it using your Apple ID and password. If this is not a free app, then you will have to pay for it.

    Only your friend can give you his Apple ID and password. If he does while it is crazy to do. And you're not much of a friend to ask him.

  • XP - cannot install updates

    XP Pro, SP3, MSE

    I have updated to notify but not download or install.

    On the last two occasions 'Patch Tuesday', I was advised again
    updates, click on the icon/bubble and then selected "Download" - nothing
    is happening.

    I make sure that all boxes updates is ticked/checked (they are by default)
    and I have an internet connection.

    Initially, I assumed that the server is busy, but after waiting an hour or two I
    had to go to the MS update page where I can download and install
    without problems. During this process, the Update icon appears in the
    notification area saying that updates are ready to install, just as I
    expect after clicking on 'download '.

    The situation is the same for the last batch of updates.

    No idea why in THE fails to download after notification?

    Well, my updates finally downloaded and installed, and I found a plausible explanation for the delay, at least for my computer.

    The Windows Update log in my Windows folder contained many entries saying "updated by an update that is regulated and can not download" and "the update takes precedence regulated and can not download.  Through the research forum has led me to a thread posted in October, which explains the issue clearly enough of these phrases.

    If you disable Microsoft Update updates poster will never be. What is happening is that the updates are regulated so that the update servers are too taxed. After all, all Windows computers in the world cannot be updated at once, right?

    If you check WindowsUpdate.log, located in Windows, you will see an entry like the one-

    2010-10-12 11:41:13:046 1308 9e8 DnldMgr rules: {7971F918-A847-4430-9279-4A52D1EFE18D}-FF20EB09-05D5-42A9-A007-11CC4E70885C update is the'Priority' regulated and can NOT download only . The 8071 sequence vs AcceptRate 2525.

    If you disable Microsoft Update and then the next time you activate your system will again "set priority " and will have to wait his turn to receive actually.

    The latest entries are at the bottom of the journal. Start here and see if there is a similar entry in WindowsUpdate.log on your system.
    If there are similar entries all I can say is that you be patient and wait until they arrive or manually download and install updates from the Microsoft Download Center or from the Microsoft Update Catalog . To the Download Center, enter the number of the update, and then click the magnifying glass icon to start the search. For the MU catalogue, either enter the number or the Security Bulletin number.
    All the Security bulletins can be found hereand also contain links that allow once to manually download the updates go MS Download Center.

    I run checksur and he told me he wanteded to install the hotfix kb (947821) it has installed successfully but when I went to update my .net it downloaded all this and still gave me the same error.  I then ran checksur once more and he told me that I needed the fix even... did install, I wonder the story says it was installed successfully.

    the windows system file shows that I'm under sp1.  .net framework 3.5.  I just need to find a way to get sp2 on this machine, I can't reinstall the computer did not come with a cd of vista, there is no cd of restoration either.  I'll try the process of update to boot, but I doubt.
