Installer think volume is case sensitve

I have two volumes on my mac.  The system volume is case-sensitive.  I have a separate volume of sensitive without respect where I run CS4.  I read the prerequisites before I bought Illustrator and Photoshop CS5: "2GB of available disk space for installation; additional space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)"Fine.  I can install it on a separate volume of sensitive without respect.  NOpe:

Run the installer from the Volume of NO RESPECT for CASE-SENSITIVE, I get an error: "The Installation to a case-sensitive volume is not supported."  I guess that means I can't install CS5 to a non case-sensitive volume because I am just lucky to have a volume of case sensitive on my system?

Applications Adobe has really need to be installed on the boot volume.  End of the story.

  • Is case sensitve UDA?

    Hello

I have a calc script that had the code like this segment.

    Difficulty (@UDA (accounts, CopyToTotal ))
    'Total' = "Comp" + "No Comp" + "NoCompStatus";
    EndFix

The room above has not worked. After a newspaper of the time code debugging, I just tried to replace the code as below:

    Difficulty (@UDA (accounts, CopytoTotal ))
    'Total' = "Comp" + "No Comp" + "NoCompStatus";
    EndFix

Then it worked like a miracle! The only difference was that I replaced the text of the UDA with text as - is from member properties. The difference was "T" uppercase vs. lowercase "t". I was wondering if text UDA is case sensitive? If this is not the case, why he worked with the second version of the code?

    I appreciate your comments.

    Thank you!

    Hello

If you look in tech ref you see a note against [@UDA | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/esb_techref/uda.htm]

"* You must type the string of the UDA, exactly as it appears in the database outline.*"

You can usually tell if the UDA in DIFFICULTY straightens members, if you post the script it will still validate but if you look in the newspaper see the following, there is something wrong.

Expression [@UDA (Accounts, CopyToTotal)] is an empty set. [INSTRUCTION] is ignored

You should also get an idea in the journal when you run the script to see if it is fixed on all members.

    See you soon

  • Volume D: is dirty. Check Disk Local Disk d does not solve the problem

Whenever I start my computer under WindowsXP SP3, chkdsk runs indicating that the D: Volume is dirty.  He noted no other problems.  I tried to run check disk Local Disk d with two checked options, but it does not solve the probem.  What should I try next?

    That is right.

First of all, let us look at the ideas of the Microsoft support engineer:

I would never not follow the suggestion of Microsoft Engineer in method 1.  This idea makes no sense.

The Microsoft Support Engineer method 2 does not work for you (or most people), unless you have a XP installation CD bootable authentic with the same Service Pack as your installation.  In your case, you would need a true bootable XP with SP3 installation CD and most of the people do not have such an animal.  It is therefore extremely unlikely that will help you at all - and if your file system is damaged or dirty, I of course never suggests that in the first place until your file system is straightened.

Volumes that contain file system errors is known as "Sales". When a volume is dirty, he has known file system errors, and you must run chkdsk on the volume to repair the problem.

When XP starts, it automatically checks the on each volume's dirty bit (C, D, E, etc.), and if any volume is dirty, XP will automatically run chkdsk/p on next reboot on the volumes in an attempt to clear the dirty bit.  Which does not clear the bit of impurity or it may take several passes.

If the volume dirty bit, one is set, this indicates that the file system may be in an inconsistent state. The dirty bit can be set because the volume is online and has some remarkable changes, because changes have been made to the volume and the computer shutdown until the changes have been committed to disk, or because corruption has been detected on the volume. If the dirty bit is set when the computer restarts, chkdsk runs to verify the consistency of the volume.

Whenever you start a computer that is running one of the Windows XP operating system or the Windows Server 2003 family, autochk.exe is called by the kernel for all volumes to check if the volume dirty bit is set. If the dirty bit is set, autochk performs an immediate chkdsk /f on that volume. Chkdsk /f verifies file system integrity and attempts to fix any problems with the volume.

A simple power interruption is something that could result in a disc was marked as dirty.  Have you had a power failure these days?

You can query the dirty bit on a volume from the command prompt window.  Here's how:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    cmd

Click OK to open the command prompt window.

For example, to query the bit of impurity on drive D, type:

    fsutil dirty query D:

    The sample output:
    Volume D: is dirty
    Volume D: is not dirty

Type "exit" to close the command prompt window.

You can not enter any command to clear the dirty bit - only chkdsk /r or chkdsk/p can clear the dirty bit.

When chkdsk runs automatically restart either because XP thinks he needs to (perhaps your NTFS volume has been marked as dirty) or you decide to schedule the chkdsk with error correction during the next reboot, the results appear in the viewing Application event log.  You should look there for the chkdsk log to see what happened and no problems after running chkdsk.

To view the logs in Event Viewer, click Start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, event viewer.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

Search the Application log for an event originally by Winlogon, something like:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Winlogon
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 1001
    Date: 04/08/2010
    Time: 11:25:57
    Description:
    Checking file system on C:

The type of the file system is NTFS.

One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You
may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended
    that you continue.

The dirty bit fade not until chkdsk /r (or chkdsk/p) tracks clean when the system reboots (as in the example) or when you run chkdsk /r from the XP Recovery Console.

Many times, the best remedy is to just run chkdsk /r from the XP Recovery Console so you can actually see what it does.  Sometimes, this also seems to be the only way to clear the dirty bit and this way you can see what he does.

Note that you can not also question the bit of impurity of the Recovery Console and you can't turn off the bit of impurity to enter any command.

If for some reason chkdsk will not erase the dirty, you can simply say XP never check the volume dirty bit, but who will not fix your fault of potentially hard drive, or it could be the drive just need to have chkdsk run on that (sometimes you need to run it more than once) or you will have to think about replacing the drive.

If you have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, you can boot into XP from that (even a SP2) Recovery Console CD will work and run chkdsk /r manually from there and repeat until chkdsk /r is clean.

If you have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, say so and I'll post instructions so you can make a CD of XP Recovery Console and how to run chkdsk from there.   There is no required XP media.

I wonder why it is that I have never see an engineer Microsoft Support post instructions on how to make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console... probably because there is no KB article for them to post.

  • Workstation HP Z420: Z420 Workstation troubleshooting in Windows Installer

    Dear expert HP,

    Thank you for your time

I need advice to install windows 7 Ultimate x 64 on HP z420 workstation . I tried many things, but a mistake ((no driver device not found)) is always indicated.

    Like the attached photo.

    Do things that I have

-RAID + sata to IDE mode AHCI passant... which is my only option

-change the sata IDE compatible mode to improve

    -Disabling EFI boot Sources

    -Disabling the boot legacy sources.

These measures all lead go me, i.e. no device driver were found. my best shot the installation continue but without a hard drive display for format or delete.

    All boards

    Thank you

If you have more than 1 drive in your system, and you have RAID + AHCI set, you will probably need to jump in the raid BIOS controller at startup time (by pressing 'CTRL C' if I remember correctly) and define a virtual disk or VD (who can erase existing data, it should be notified).

Then when windows install loads, you will see the virtual disk that you created earlier and can thus select the VD for the installation to continue. This assumes that the installation media contains the drivers for the raid (chipset) which I think is the case.

If the installation disc doesn't have the required raid (chipset) drivers, then you will need to place them on a USB stick and point the installation using F8, how you see your VD and can continue with the installation.

If all this seems too, you can delete everything except a HARD drive and then RAID function will be irrelevant, because it will fall back on simple AHCI. If you still don't see the only HARD drive, try and add the chipset drivers using the F8 method.

I had similar problems on my Z210 and solved by using the default settings of the BIOS firmware, then created a VD and finally put Intels RST, pilot specifically the F8 on a USB key and during the installation of Windows process rush F * and singled out the USB where the driver saw and loaded at this time here my VD was visible so that everything could continue.

  • Installation of TG on Windows 7

    Hello

I tried to install the last version (4.1) of the software of Transport passage on a windows 7 PC to prepare a demonstration but it was impossible to run the program after installation to finish.

Are there other requirements like Java or other things? I used a 64-bit Windows 7 PC and other hardware specs seem to meet the requirements.

Also I would like to know what is the different between the two images of software as below:

    TransportGatewayWin64_v4_1.exe
    TransportGatewayWin64_v4_1_VM.exe

    Kind regards

    Ron

    Hello

While the TG software must run on windows 7 PC, we who don't support for production environment.  We prefer that you use windows 2008, but for demo'ing but windows 7 is very good... Java required to run the TG is already included in the package... java .This is with all the required parameters and compatibility. I think in your case, you may already have another version of java already installed and that can be a problem... but can be another problem you need to solve the problems.

Who has _VM the name is for windows VM on the ESXi. One stand-alone server.

  • Failure on download with installer CC

    On a Macintosh 10.8.5

I bought the photograph of the LR5 and Photoshop CC beam.

I first installed CC Installer; then CC of Photoshop and Lightroom 5.

CC of Photoshop works very well.

LR5 crashes at startup.  And you try to run LR 4 gives the same result.  Neither will now run, even if LR4 was going well until I bought the package.

I deleted LR5 (just the app itself, no other file taken in charge because there is a confused picture of them).

    LR4 now works OK.

BUT CC Installer think LR 5 is still installed and up-to-date and there seems to be no way to re - download LR5.

    What now?

What else can I remove to sensitize the CC Installer correctly?

Is this a case of pesky files hidden to the origin of the problem?

    Hi DW5000.

Did you you drag Lightroom from Application to the trash If Yes and please uninstall the product of utilities > Adobe Installers.

If you have already emptied Trash then download and run creative cloud cleaning tool.

  • Do I need a case for my Apple Watch?

I just bought the sports watch (38 mm with Silver Aluminum case) and I'm trying to decide if I should buy a case. I know that watches are made to be durable enough and I really prefer not to sacrifice the design but I'm worried that I would need the case. I work a lot and teach fitness classes - a case would be useful in the watch of sweat and bumps protection against equipment? Colleagues who have the shows say they are ok with a case, but I'm worried he might get banged up in the gym. Also, I work in a restaurant, and think that the case might help against protect them against damage from water. Any advice?

    Hello

The answer to your question is a matter of personal preference.

It may be useful to read the comments of the protective case on a site like Amazon.

Issues with Apple Watch cases / protectors (in general) understand that they can, for example: fall pretty easily, reduce the sensitivity to touch, scratch quite easily get moisture dirty (on the outside), trap or trap small items of debris under them (which can cause scratches on the case or display).

With the help of a case can make it also more difficult or less convenient to monitor your own and dry. Cleaning and drying of your watch are recommended, for example, after exposure to sweat and other liquids in order to maximize comfort and avoid damage to long-term of the watch.
