Instaltion defective windows 8

I format my PC every year and this is the first time I did it with windows 8. As always, I made a backup by copying everything on my C drive on an external hard drive and format my C drive. When I installed windows 8, everything went well until the end of the installation. To the point where you have to create a user account from the screen goes black and the pointer is not visible. When I restart my pc the startup process stops at a black screen. I did the process 3 times and the problem remains.

I'd appreciate any help.

  • Backup turns out defective Windows\system32\config ('file crypto') causing an error?

How can I get around the backup failed due to the Windows\System32\config\systemprofile with error code 80246005? It seems that all the other files have backup OK.  Is there a method to have the backup ignore this file, if it is not important?

I've been running widows 7 updated for days and I tried all the suggestions here and on other Microsoft sites no matter what I tried it simply not update windows 7. Today, I have reinstalled my old hard drive and checked for update. To my surprise there were updates available and they installed without a problem. Here's my question, why I can't get updates on an old hard drive and not a hard drive newly installed of Seagate and recently installed windows 7.

  • New BACK Labtop preloaded with Defected Windows 7

Refer to the above for exact details

Hi, I have bought a Toshiba P840 online and received today. He showed early upward the labtop, Windows 7 ongoing enforcement and that windows is checking for a solution (good start repair) and said that it could not solve the problem.

I was shocked because it was supposed to be a new and a Labtop BACK (n OS self-service).

I have check the start menu of all right, the HDD works well 500 GB 4 GB memory intel i5 core all matches.

The problem: it was supposed to be a BACK of unit as shown, but let me ask you guys, is possible for me to install just my new Windows 8.1 to crush this weird pre-existing windows? Via the start menu by putting in my drive and ignoring the failure of Windows 7 Startup Repair?

What are the causes of Windows 7's to fail anyway? The hardware itself or the Windows operating system?

If this is the problem of the OS, it's okay since this is supposed to be a unit of BACK where I need to install my own BONE to crush it, but WHO can?

Don't forget my key question > can I insert a new disc of Windows 8.1 and crush/install on this strange Windows 7?

Try to spark a recovery in the factory and then start the installation from the Windows 7 Desktop for Windows 8.1:

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

Otherwise, you can simply use your media Windows 8.1 DVD or USB and make a custom installation:

Boot from the DVD Windows 8.1

For information about how to modify your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, see the following tutorial:

    http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/

Once your computer is configured to boot from the DVD, you should see this option.

  • 640 x 480 video with defective Windows CS4 deactivation

  • Code 45 for zune. Peripheral USB of States is defective; Windows does not recognize it. This is for XP. It has worked before and nine for Christmas. I have all the updates, etc. My Zune software starts whenever I plugged it to my computer.

That's my XP OS.  He worked before that date and a new Zune for Christmas, a couple of days.  I have all the updates, etc.  My Zune software starts whenever I plugged it to my computer; now all I get is the error above.
The zune turn on when connected load, and the system can't recognize not like before.  After troubleshooting, I actually uninstalled the usb and the reinstalled system but said that there is a problem.
    Help!

Hi, Jason and thanks for your response.  Unfortunately, this was not correct.
After several tests, including two restarts then stop / restart, I just gave up and let it go... and then, the next day, I retried it, and it worked! I don't really know why, but I have a feeling. While I was working with my zune by itself, I went to albums, shuffle all and then my Zune completely erased, restarted and then played as usual. I think that this reboot of my Zune has helped my system to detect.  What do you think?  Also, I can do the same thing somehow - do a "reboot/reset" my Zune?  In any case, my Zune works perfectly, I really loved and added additional music to today and bought a warranty last night.

  • I have windows live mail 2011.

I am not able to receive or send emails. How should I fix this > should I install windows live 2012? If Yes please give me instructions step by step.  I'm not a geek, please help.

I strongly disagree with Andre.  WLM 2012 is not nearly as good as the 2011 version. The 2012 version has been ruined by a series of defective Windows updates, AND there is no groups.

The problem you are having is probably due to other causes:

You have a hosted Microsoft email address?  If you do, any version of WLM works.  Most of my clients who have had these addresses is passed to others.

Have you tried the repair feature in WLM?

You have messages stuck in Outbox?

  • Some random windows remain in front - new windows open in the background

    Hello

I have a very annoying and recurring question: one or more windows of my session always remain at the top of others. She does not always affect the same software (I've experienced with Chrome, Visual Studio, Windows Explorer, MS Word, MS Excel, notepad...). Sometimes a single window is affected, sometimes 2 or 3 (as 1 word document, chrome and 1 explore window). I think this is a Windows problem, because it is not logical that all these software would default at the same time, with no repeatable behavior.
If I open a new window (Notepad, calculator, internet room to connect to this Internet site, Panel, etc) it will be displayed in the background, so the only way that I have to see him (or even know it's here) is to reduce all windows until I find the one I want. If I select using the bar of tasks, or alt + tab, it presents in the face, but as soon as I let go of the mouse button / key, windows 'stay face' returns. If I drag a new window to a position of the screen where a defective window, he is dragged behind it (even if I focus on that).
I first thought that I had a session corrupted, so I created a new one with the new username etc, but the problem is the same. I did some research and it seems to be a well known since Win98 problem, so I tried several "tricks" supposed to work (change the behavior to 'combine' or 'lock' bar tasks, use/not use aero peek, remove all software pointing device running, run a windows update, change the ForegroundLockTimeout setting...). Either the "fix" doesn't work at all, or it does for only 20 to 40 minutes (just enough for me to notice it's gone and you can enjoy the normal use of a computer...), before returning.
I hope my description is clear enough for you, the experts to understand what the problem is and give me a solution.

    Hello

  • BIOS ACER v3 - 571 G problem!

Hello Acer first of all, my English is bad. I have a laptop ACER v3 - 571 G with i5 - 3210M 2.5 GHz and GT 640 M + 8 GB of RAM and I am very disssapointed with my laptop.

ACER with 2.21 bios is the worst bios that I've ever seen. Laptop has 85-95 C with this bios and it stops at stake, in surfing, any judgments just randomly.

There is no option in this ridiculous BIOS, I can't set the fan speed and I can't disable disk or turn it off, and I can not start USB because the laptop does not react on F2 at startup only when I restart, but then, may not realize that it is the USB into the slot.

    1. the drive is 100% its first use 2-4 minutes.

    2. very unstable with very bad BIOS Acer laptop and I had Flash the BIOS of the random guy and the book it is 1000 times better as with Acer bios!

    3. the battery does not work with BIOS Acer but it works with modded BIOS.

    4. I paid 250 EUR for the new motherboard because the laptop is turned off and does not start again. The service said it was 'the unknown liquid' to the motherboard.

So, now with the new motherboard after 3 months, he broke again and it randomly stops himself. It is not because as warm-ups it stops when I open video-game-chrome or something.

What can I do? I really don't want to send the laptop to the service they will again tell me that it's my fault because they can't repair or accept my guarantee.

Is this normal for 680EUR + 250 with new mothetboard? I thought that Acer is a solid company by comparing with HP/ASUS, but I made a huge mistake.

    THANKS FOR THE QUICK REPLY!

This is what I said, turn off fast boot and you can access BIOS whenever you want. With this option enabled, Windows does not full stop, just a mix between the Hibernate and shutdown. Here is the explanation of this process, and how to disable this - http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6320-fast-startup-turn-off-windows-8-a.html after that you should be able to access BIOS even when you turn off your laptop. This is normal with Windows 8 and keep in mind after that this system will begin in a few seconds more.

Also, I think you should check your HARD disk because it may be corrupted, download CrystalDiskInfo and check it. If so, try to check for errors like here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors if it was caused by areas defective Windows needs to get rid of it.

I do not know what causes overheating, I've got 2.21 BIOS and no problem.

  • HP s 4330: cannot install Windows, freezes before restarting. [solved: chipset defective stepping]

    Hello!

I am banging my head on the wall with this case, can not understand, how to proceed.

My experience: I worked a few years as a computer store technician, especially on desktop computers, so at least vaguely, I know what I'm doing, and I'm very careful when handling material.

Background of the computer: I got a used HP 4330 s after the deceased family member. No fringe, pretty clean, no damage or traces of fall release. He had dead hard disk (click), broken DVD (engine brackets bent, I am told it is a child work) and was very dusty (blocked fan). I removed the optical drive, carefully removed all the dust, replaced heat is dedicated to the Sub CPU and put inside SSD, I took my other machine (erased). In the BIOS, I went from starting EFI.

I jumped into the USB with Windows 8.1 fresh install, which ran well, until he wanted to restart. Screen went blue/violet (same color as the background of the normal installation), and it stopped, no disk activity, nothing. I turned to bike it, Windows installation proceeds, but failed. This is repeated several times.

Steps I took to solve the problem:

-Legacy mode and I tried to install again, same result.

-Memtest Ran, past, memory switched to a few specimens (DDR3 and DDR3L), tried both slots, pass all, Windows will not complete the installation.

-Traded stock to i5 - 2520M i3 CPU I had to hang out, which has been removed from the machine work (during upgrade), same result.

-Done everything once again, this time without the battery and using big HP 120W 85x0w charger, same result

-Exchanged on a different disk, same result.

-Try exchanging AC7260 network card, only to discover he is blacklisted (* beep *?), removed wifi do map altogether, no change

-Traded thumbdrive to another, and I tried two different Windows 8.1 relies

-Turn off all devices in the BIOS, except USB.

-Tried to install Ubuntu, only to find out that it works perfectly, but it will not boot from EFI, had efibootmgr shows the correct entries, laptop says that it cannot find the operating system.

-Hiren Boot CD with BartPE is Windows XP starts and works very well.

-Check time CPU, at a time using reporting and pirometer software, it does not exceed 65 degrees Celscius in any moment, which is well below the critical temperature on both processors.

BIOS is F47. To my surprise, it is newer than what I can find in the download page (F07?).

Can what steps I take to close on the issue? I would leave it under Ubuntu, but I need Windows on this computer, and I'm afraid he's going to go belly up.

    Last updated.

First of all, doughjohn - problem is not in the initiation of the stop, but it will not accomplish the closure. There is almost everything disabled except BNT kernel and the video driver.

The problem has been very difficult to diagnose, until I found a friend who also had the same machine.

    And here's the final solution:

Like unbelieveble as it is, all three motherboards have manufacturing defects.

Problem is the chipset: all of them, as, as I suspected, have Cougar Point B2 chipset with SATA bug. This degrades the connection of the HARD disk. There were two clues: USB3.0 adapter SATA with Windows 8.1/10 work and fine closures. Same disk moved in the hard drive bay or optical Bay can not close correctly and works over slow (!). Second, was my friend who had same 4330 s specifications, but without problems. I disassembled the machine and to my surprise he chipset B3, with visible signs of flow around it, and fix the markings certified HP. This laptop was RMA would once. I moved my installation to his mother, and he also starts very well on SATA ports.

This is the first (and only) for laptop with Sandy Bridge-era components that suffer from a degradation of link chipset primary HARD disk SATA lines I've seen so far.

To sum up: HP, your fault this time.

I sold the laptop and I'm looking for a new machine, it will probably take HP 6470 B, if I can find all the components.

Thank you for all those that the air here and offered advice and guidance. I really appreciate your help!

  • Windows 7: games online lag & defective live tv unstable/record live tv playback (due to changes in priorities/Planner win7?)

Since installing Windows 7 ultimate, I have 2 problems (compared to XP or even Vista):

    (1) online gaming is lag; the other players seem to move like ghosts, somehow jerky and jerky, but my ping is completely normal (low) and fps are good, too.

    (2) direct TV experience is worse now:
When I watch a dvb - t transmission and switch to another app that I have at the same time (like total Commander, instant messaging, Notepad, etc.) I hear audio clicks and get video abandonment. The same is true when I'm not watching a transmission, but when I save it. The recordings are defective (video and audio dropouts).

However, existing good records can be read without any problem, even when you switch like crazy between all sorts of substantive programmes and lots of tabs in my web browser. With these good records I get no problem whatsoever (for example: files in windows XP). It is only when I try to record something in Windows 7 that I get these questions.

I have used many different programs (from dvbviewer for progdvb for dvb dream to Windows Media Center). The problem is always the same.

This did not happen in XP, however.
Under XP, I can switch to background programs and switch between tabs in the opera 100 without being any 'clicks' or the number of drop-outs in audio/video on live television.

The same is true for Vista, although it is slightly worse than with XP.

In Windows 7, interactive use of programs seems to have a strong (and negative) impact on live TV.

My system (not aware at all, but otherwise very good work, in XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Linux):

    -Sempron 2600
    -1 GB OF RAM
    -Geforce 3 TI 200:
I know: not supported by Windows 7, BUT:
-J' also have an ATI HD4650 here, which IS supported by Windows 7
and who doesn't IS NOT IMPROVE anything!

Since my Windows 7 installation is quite recent and not yet activated, I did not install a lot, especially any antivirus that could (maybe) deteriorate the performance of the system.

Apart from live tv playback/record and games Windows 7 IS (!) quickly on my old system.

In addition, take into account that the games I'm talking about are OLD, so my geforce3ti200 is quite enough for such an old game, like quake2 or quake1. - And as I said, I also have a HD4650 well supported by the ITA which does NOT improve lag problems in games!

I tried to disable nagle algorithm (as suggested somewhere), I played with registry settings like 'systemresponsiveness '; I also disabled the multimedia class Scheduler - all these things you will find in these many threads any lag in windows 7!

Does not really - or only partially:
Deactivation of the multimedia class scheduler service help (a little) but at the price of having audio problems:
When switching between the different programs of the audio player (e.g. windows media player or vlc) has now audio dropouts that wouldn't happen when the multimedia class Scheduler service is running.

Therefore, this solution is not ideal.

Since I also tried to use wifi instead of ethernet, external sound usb instead of edge, different servers etc, and since there is that interference between the task of switching and stability of live tv, I come to this conclusion:

This must be a timer problem. Something in the Task Scheduler in windows 7 and/or priority system was changed, when comparing it to XP or Vista.

I see that there are more settings in the registry, as in:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\Tasks\Audio]

    Where it looks like:

    'Planning category '=' Medium '.
    "SFIO"="Normal priority".
    "Background only"="True".
    'Priority' = dword:00000006
    "Rate of clock" = dword:00002710
    'GPU priority' = dword:00000008
    "Affinity" = DWORD: 00000000

So I'm expecting setting could something in a different way here (?) have a significant impact...

    Last question:
Considering the number of threads (when searching via google) all delays in windows 7 games, is Microsoft aware of this problem - and Microsoft offer a fix, a hotfix or another type of solution?

    Thank you, egman

My laptop Windows XP think my external hard drive is defective.  It works fine on my desktop PC.  Having the same problem with my USB and my printer all on the same laptop.  All are USB devices that work fine on my desktop PC.  My external mouse and my digital camera are also connected by USB, and they work well on both computers.  Before this week, all the devices worked fine on both computers.  The resolution of the problems of the Device Manager was of no help.  What bad past and how to fix it?
