Intallation stalls on 3/4 in Windows XP

I am running Windows XP with psc 1350 all in one connected by usb cable.  A few problems with scan and printing and turned to HP to help. Followed the instructions to uninstall the software, but 3/4 - "installation of additional software" - increase of 1%, the process to a standstill. It shows the speed of 8-9 kbit/s.

I left during the night thinking he would just take some time, but it is only 3% this morning.

I turned back to HP and following the instructions to 'printer software Installation stalls or stops in windows xp with a product connected USB' tried to save once again with the same result - stands at 3/4.

Any ideas?

Hello

Try to reinstall, and then follow the following procedure to the point where it says "installation of additional software:

> Launch task manager (right-click the taskbar on the bottom of your computer screen and then select taskmanager to launch)
> click on the processes tab
> locate and hightlight WRAPPER.exe under the list of running processes
> click on end task process/end
> click Yes to confirm

* the installation then proceeds to asking you to connect the usb cable

Let me know if it works.

  • VMware reports Ethernet but host's WIFI?

I have VMware Player version 7.0.0 in stalled on a PC of Windows 8.1. I installed Windows 10, 64-bit build 6879 without any problem, including the latest VM tools. Everything seems to work perfectly, BUT Windows 10 shows a connection to the network local gigabit to the Internet so that my real connection is a 7260 Intel wireless adapter. Not much, but when I stopped 10 Windows and close VMware Player, my wireless adapter is in a State that requires toggles make it work again.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Jim

VMware has only a wired Ethernet connection to the guest operating system.  This is normal and expected as defined in the virtual hardware virtual network adapter is after all a network card wired adapter not a Wi - Fi network.  BTW... On a related note, if at any time you do something that requires a Wi - Fi network adapter in the guest operating system then you will need to provide your own network adapter USB Wi - Fi for you directly connect to the virtual machine.

Terms of loss of connectivity after the closure of VMware Player, sorry I have not experienced this problem.  To help diagnose/troubleshoot, you can provide some more technical details about your network environment and configuration of the virtual machine network adapter, for example NAT or bridged.  Also, is this a problem every time or it is intermittent?

  • Inspiron 5000 15 stall since the Windows 10 upgrade series ethernet connection

I have a Dell Inspiron 15, 5000 series that accompanies Windows 8.1 on it. I have upgraded to Windows 10 and the ethernet connection began to stall, giving messages that the cable is not connected when it is. I had installed all the updates driver from the Dell site, including all the firmware and the BIOS updated. According to the Dell website, the laptop has reportedly been tested to work with Windows 10.

I've disabled the card, then raise it, but always without success. I tried to roll back to Windows 8.1 and the ethernet of the functions of connection very well. I tried the upgrade of Windows 10 once again, but the ethernet connection does not work even after reinstalling all the drivers for Dell. Is it possible to know if this model is simply not able to upgrade despite the affirmation of Dell is it?

In fact, I found the answer this morning. I had to downgrade the driver for the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller at 9.1.402.2015. So far, everything looking good. I have access to the internet via the ethernet cable. Go to let it run a bit and make sure that it is stable. I guess it was unhappy with the latest driver.
