  My Question here, what is the best way to manage authentication with BI Publisher while integrating with Oracle Form?

  I think, in a document, just to mention for example,

  It will not be advisable if keeping the user weblogic/pwd in Java code, at the end of this java code becomes a jar file and deployed to the server and then downloaded to the client computer. ensure that completely and the values are hardcoded, if the password change question once again, this means having user/pwd in jar will never be a good solution.

  For a quick overview, I'd do it keep advice the user/pwd in db in encrypted form and access to oracle form with decrypted and pass the value in the api ReportServiceClient.CallRunReport)

  If you feel, every time you need to access user/pwd of db and decypte it, that I advise you here, get user/pwd when set in the context of db and out of context with decrypted.

  Another may be the best idea.

  The BI Publisher standard part of EBS applications.

  Most of the EBS reports (R12) rely on BI Publisher.

  If you check the 'XML Publisher Administrator' responsibility, you can see all the models used in the application.

  Your technical team should already know this.

  On the other hand OBIEE need separate licenses.

  But for you would be BI Publisher.

  RapidWiz does not have the install feature Oracle Apps with RAC of installation/configuration, so you'll have to do a traditional installation then follow the documents to configure the RAC database.

• Oracle UCM - working with forms

  I have a question about the use of forms in Oracle UCM. I have a requirement to display a form on a Web site and the fields that the user fills out the form stored in Oracle UCM some how. I played with the form editor and I did a form. I see that I can map results in the content server metadata fields.
  
  Is it possible to use this utility to create a file that is checked in the content server when the form is submitted. Is there a better way to do what I'm trying to accomplish.

  You could check for the employee who could end... its assignmment status could be suspended or terminated.

  Please help me with this requirement - Oracle Apps R12 - related forms-

  Obligation:

  Disable the option to update - user should not update the quantity fields on the tabs IE (price, delivery, returns, Service, other, addresses) if it meets a given condition.

  If someone tries to update - just pop - up error message "update not allowed here!"

  I think we can do this using the form of customization.

  But I'm not actually (event trigger, Trigger, Condition object) - how to disable particular field

  No, this is not possible.  Oracle Forms is directly linked to an Oracle database.  If you need access to a source of data non-Oracle you can do this by using heterogeneous Services according to your version of the database or Oracle Gateway.  It is essentially to create a connection to the non-Oracle with a database of Oracle database and access to this database non-Oracle with your Oracle database.  It's the only way!

  (1) I guess there not available for OFA certification. However there is available land (Oracle University)

  (2) well, for that you need first to decide. you want to stay with forms and develop in sql, PL/SQL (learn more about the DB), then forms is the way to go. If you enjoy working with java and develop J2EE applications, you should work with ADF. OAF I don't know much about it other that it's built on an older version of the ADF, but is more suitable for E Business Suite (it has not used both in the open community).

  How to add the database in the TNS file

  1. copy data from another file tnsnames.ora, such as on the database server.
  Or
  2 add it manually.
  Each Oracle installation comes with an example tnsnames.ora, so just change it to your database.

  If you don't know how, ask your DBA or go on the forum of the General database. There are many examples on the tnsnames.ora Configuration.

  If by 'Apps', you mean the Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS), which was previously called background Oracle Applications, then your forms and PL/SQL will help a lot, but now, you will need to learn the framework of EBS.  The best way to do is to read the documentation of the EBS.  Here are some useful links:
