  We have a third party application that requires three manuscripts of java to exist in Javascript directory in c:\Program DC\Reader of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  Scripts are provided by the seller and at no time never change us them. The problem now is that since the update to Acrobat Reader DC java scripts run automatically whenever Acrobat Reader opens. It doesn't matter if it's a PDF file which opens the player or if you open the drive by itself before opening a PDF file. It is used for java scripts run only when the third-party application called what he calls a sympdf file. Once the pdf file has been loaded scripts would go and a toolbar will appear with several options on this subject. This toolbar now appears each time we open Acrobat reader. How can I keep Acrobat Reader automatically executing the script without removing the script from the Javascripts directory?

  All scripts in this case are automatically loaded the application whenever you open.

  From what you describe, it looks like a bug in the scripts themselves. You must report it to the company, you've got to go.

  To disable them, you can delete or rename or disable JS entirely under Edit - Preferences - JavaScript (but which would have an impact on other things and is not recommended).

  I need to provide feedback to answer advanced in my project, in addition to hide the items in the object of a PlayBar custom until the question has been answered. Using the advanced options response seems to disable the actions of event completion question in the game window, so I need to find creative solutions. My concept is to add an event listener for the CPAPI_QUESTIONSUBMIT event that calls a tip action that will be show/hide objects. I have my script added on enter for the question slide.

  that works reliably, but is not what I need of course.

  My first problem is that I don't know what the syntax should look like for the questionAnswered event data. Is the event an array of strings of constituent data? I'm lost, and the help page does not cover the use of these... maybe I can't use exactly that way, but I need to know how to identify all first off.

  My second problem should call the object correctly such that executes its assigned function. I suppose that the object must be a button. Any advice on this part are welcome, because I have not far enough to test it yet so I don't know what to try.

  No noise in the thread so far, but I had this one work, then here is the solution should anyone need:

  Rather than use the CPAPI_QUESTIONSUBMIT event, which fires whenever no response is provided, not just final answers, I used a conditional based on the variable cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice, which does not change that value when a final response is provided.

  Here's the script:

  User vars:

  Qprev = "" until assigned

  Slide object named theStageObjectInQuestion has an action assigned to show and hide objects according to the needs

  On enter for each slide of the question:

  Make sure that Qprev is updated

  assign Qprev with cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice;

  function quizCounter() {}

  If (Qprev! = cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice) {}

  window.cp.runJavascript (cp.model.data.theStageObjectInQuestion.oca);

  That works well for me! The main improvement I would like to do it here would be my show/hide title action items identical with the number of the slide at the end of the name and have a javascript function to update a variable objectName with this number and use it instead of theStageObjectInQuestion coding hard as I currently do. Hope that is helpful to someone else out there.

  We were asked to create and deploy work Instructions (which are clearly defined procedures) on iPads for engineers to follow in case of intervention. The work Instructions must be Adobe Acrobat files. The engineers will work in an environment that prevents any form of WiFi or other networks of communication. At specific points in the statement of work, the engineer must obtain authorization from a Manager to proceed. We want to use the iPad Touch Id to provide an authenticated 'digital signature' method work to move forward.

  Can anyone suggest if this is possible, if there are examples of this or if there is another approach that we should consider.

  I really liked the approach to authentication with Acrobat on iPads, but currently, it is something that is not available. I will propose to fill out the feature request/Bug Report Form for this.

  Can I get the version ios 7 Adobe Acrobat Reader? (Some developers keep earlier versions of their applications to the poor souls like me with older IPADs). 

  If so, where and how?   (Google didn't turn a download... site version available is for ios 8).

  If the ios version 7 is strictly a player, without at all annotation tools, tell me.

  The latest version of Acrobat Reader (16.04.05) requires iOS 8.0 or later version.

  However, the App Store can provide the latest compatible version of Adobe Reader software for iPad or iPhone running iOS 7 (or even older version of iOS).

  1. Access the app from the App Store on your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Find Acrobat Reader.
  3. Try to download the latest version of Acrobat Reader.

  You see the following dialog box with two buttons (download and cancel)?
  

  Please press the download button to install the previous version of the Adobe Reader software.

  If you see the dialog box with the OK button (i.e. No Download button), this means that you have never installed Adobe Acrobat Reader using the before particular Apple ID.

  To link Adobe Acrobat Reader with your Apple ID, you will need a computer Windows or Mac and iTunes (desktop application).

  1. Check on your iPad/iPhone, the Apple ID you use for the App Store (settings > iTunes & App Store).
  2. On your computer, Windows or Mac, open iTunes.
  3. Sign in using the same identifier Apple you use on your iPad/iPhone to iTunes.
  4. Find Acrobat Reader and download it to your computer.  ( Do not try to install it on your iPad/iPhone because the latest version is not compatible with your iPad/iPhone in any case.)

  Now, you can return to your iPad/iPhone and try to download the latest version of the player.  You will be presented with the dialog box with the download button.

  You can add annotations and fill PDF forms using the old version of the player.

  The latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader are not compatible with Windows Vista.

  However, you can try once that the selection of Windows 7 in the list to install the application. It may or may not work.

  Please try to check updates and repairs of Acrobat in the menu help.

  Also try to disable Protected Mode under "Edit > preferences > (protection)' & check."

  If the problem persists, try to uninstall Acrobat Reader with the tool to clean up Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs

  Then re-install it from here: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions

• How can manual uninstall older versions of Acrobat Reader?

  I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  After meeting with sound problems, that Microsoft support has failed to solve, I returned to Windows 7.   Unfortunately, Acrobat Reader with automatically deleted in the process.   I am now having trouble to reinstall Acrobat Reader.   The installer downloads, but the installation stops and it is an error message reading: "the component you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource."   Click OK to try again or enter another path to the folder containing the installation package "ArcoRead.msi" in the box below.

  I think what I have to do is to make sure that all versions previous and their components have been removed.  How to do this manually?   Also Windows uninstaller fails to remove previous, perhaps damaged or incomplete versions.

  But these features are mostly dealing with page elements. Right now, my solution is to write two GET_SESSION_STATE and SET_SESSION_STATE application processes, using APEX_UTIL to get/set the session values. I call these two application using htmldb_get methods, from session element names.
  
  It seems to be a clumsy way of doing things, and I'm surprised that Apex was not built in the object that can do it all in one step.

  I assume that you have installed 15.009.20079 by AIP. Is that this is the case, then you won't able to correct this AIP installation at 15.010.20056.

  Because of facilities using setup.exe will be updated at the latest by only applying the fix. Please refer toRe: AcroRdrDC1501020056 msp and msi as always ~ ~ for more details.

  Acrobat Reader used with work with VoiceOver Accessibility on IOS devices.  It allows to read the texts (text to speech) very well.

  I have put reently upgraded to the latest version of Acrobat Reader (15.2.1) on November 20, 2015.  It is no longer reads the texts.  Correct the problem and make it compatible with VoiceOver.

  Step 1: Use disable automatic restart on system failure option and check if you can find any error message. Previous post the error message complete and accurate which could help us help you better.

  Steps to select Disable automatic restart on system failure option:

  1. reboot the computer
  2 start typing the F8 key

  Acrobat Reader recently stopped working for me on my computer Windows 8 (I double click on PDF files to open, nothing happens).  So I uninstalled and tried to re - install the latest version (11.0 XI).  I use the installer as administrator (it is a home computer, I am the only user on the machine).  Installation stops with Error 1303 "Setup has sufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (X 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader.»  The installation cannot continue.  Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator. »

  Thank you.  I think that the restart was the key.  Windows does not seem to recognize me as an administrator, but after the restart, he did, and I was able to complete the installation.

  I got access to documents, I open it, I can do the paper and close the session, but I can not use the editing tools and forms.

  I can't work outside even with the Toshiba. I know that I can only work in one machine each time.
