  The PDF in particular (i - 864.pdf) is a special type of PDF form called a static XFA form.

  Unfortunately, mobile applications of the Acrobat Reader (for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone) do not accept the static or dynamic XFA forms created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

It is a safe choice, or should I leave Firefox dictate what PDF program I use? I am concerned about safety issues. Any opinions?

  In my opinion, you can trust Adobe to keep the series XI Reader updated for awhile. It is completely safe is impossible to know, given that vulnerabilities are often discovered and kept secret.

  I suggest you unregister and re-register the windows service installed on your computer and check if it helps you fix Windows install error problem and if you can install updates for Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  A. click on the Start menu, click on run.
  (B) in the Open box, type msiexec /unreg and then press ENTER.
  (C) in the Start menu, click run.
  (D) in the Open box, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.

  Restart the computer and try to install the updates to check if the process worked.

  They gave me a laptop Sony Vaio FRO my birthday about a month ago. I work from home, I work online and I use everyday in my computer. The two programs I use the most are gives me a hard time and not let me use a reason any. Well, my point is its does not work and it is causing me loose not being able to work money. Im very frustrated and im desperately need help.   Adobe Acrobat Reader is free, it shouldn't charge for continuous use.  Packages of creator Adobe (Adobe Acrobat Standard, Pro, Pro Extended) cost money.  Microsoft Office is often loaded on a computer as a trial package.  You need to follow up with Sony on these items to make sure if they sent packets of the trial or fully paid packages, and if they are supposed to be freed from the packages that your only relief must come from Sony - we cannot help you here.

  I know this post is very old, but it is the top google result when searching on this question, so I thought that a useful response would be in order.  I also had this problem, but I discovered the problem in the way I had my place set for My Documents, my pictures, etc..

  Short answer, you must use UNC paths for mapping.

  Longer answer - like you, I have a House (in my case sup) drive connected to my network of the company.  So, I can navigate to U:\Documents.  I had put the location of my documents (and other user files) to U:\Documents, well it worked most of the time it's really not the right way to do it.  If you open your drive mapped in file Explorer, the window title bar will show you the UNC patch.  It will look something like this: yourUsername (\\servername\home$).  Set the location of your My Documents, etc. to match - for example, to \\servername\home$\yourUsername\Documents

  Note that you can not change just the My Documents - you must fix all of your user files that point to a network drive letter (C:\Users\blah bla... is fine) in the format of a UNC path instead.  Then re-run the installation of acrobat and you should be golden.  If the foregoing makes no sense to you, or you do not have the required privileges on your workstation, talk to your resource and they will be able to sort it out for you.
