Integrated graphics 700-215 HP Envy

Hello

I tried to install a graphic card with no luck. I improved my diet to 500w. When I install and start, the monitor goes to sleep and won't work. If I try to reconnect the integrated vga slot same problem.

I can't install the driver for the new card without having plugged in which I can't do. (no Visual)

It works under windows 7 is already in Legacy mode (CAT of support had me try the windows 8, even though I kept saying it's windows 7)

The last test was with the PNY GeForce gtx 650

first test was GeForce gt 610 (said he did not because it was pci-e 2.0)

PNY says change for the main graphics card bios but I can't find that in the bios and disable the onboard in Device Manager didn't help.

Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and what happens if anything I can add that will work.

Thank you, Christine

Hello

Computer does not start after the installation of a video (Windows 8) card

Do not forget to connect the auxiliary power PCI-E connector 6 pins on the GTX 650.

Use a known good VGA cable without adaptors to connect the VGA monitor.

Check and make sure that your monitor uses as input source video in the menu of the VGA monitor.

Now turn on.  If there is no video source on the monitor then the card is bad or the power supply is defective.

Is there a method to add another connection sata for the 4th disc, or is the choice between a 4th disc or a dvd?

    Sure.

You can add a PCIe x 1 SATA controller card to your PC. Which will increase the number of available ports.

See the research I've done shows availability and prices. You should do a search the same locally for prices in your region of the world.

    You are welcome.

I would like to do some research before buying a power supply.  You may need more power than I recommended.  It says in the specs it uses less than 150W, but even more than the current PSU can provide with other components.

I'd certainly appreciate hearing how things are going.

  • The best replacement for an AMD Radeon 8670 D integrated graphics

I have a HP ENVY AMD A10 - 6700 3.7 GHz APU with integrated graphics AMD Radeon 8670 D. I have 16 GB of RAM and a 300 Watt power supply. I am running windows 8.1, the machine is surprisingly fast and HD is decent integrated graphics have come a long way! I don't play games but don't watch much programming on my HDTV. So I wonder what would be the best graphics card which is $ 100 or less with what I have, I have a PCIe x 16 slot 2.0 I think. And please recommend a food FRO the card. Thanks in advance, josh

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

Your budget makes it a bit difficult to find a video card that would meet your needs.  However, here is a card which I think will do what you need.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  It requires only a power supply (PSU) 350W runs correctly.  So it's up to you, but you might try to see if it works with the existing PSU.  If you have problems with installation, see the guide I provided in my previous post carefully.

Now, if you decide to buy a power supply, I love OCZ and Corsair.  They are passionate about quality for a good price.  The PSU is not the place to save money in a computer.  It is the backbone.  I suggest at least 500W.  This will give you some leeway for future updates.  The OCZ PSU's modular.  They are good in a smaller housing because you only use the cables needed.

  • HPE h9-1001de: HPE h9-1001de - broken graphics card can I use the integrated graphics card Intel?

I bought this PC four years ago (just the version, not CS as in the link):

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c03106002

The integrated graphics went broken today. Research on the spec Web site I noticed that the Intel's integrated graphics. I won't buy another video card, if there is a graphics processor integrated into the processor.

Indeed, there are two additional DVI ports; However, they are sealed with a sign "DO NOT REMOVE", and each port is sealed with two screws with a strange format (star with six faces?).

Why these DVI ports are sealed? Why with this format live strange? I hope that's not for licensing reasons, and that I'm still able to use them as DVI ports...

    Thank you.

    Hello:

I don't think it is sealed for any other reason than from your PC with a video of the add-on card, they would not people plugging in these ports DVI cables and by calling HP support complaining that the video does not work (because an add on card disables the integrated graphics card).

Remove your discrete PCIe x 16 graphics card, so the built-in graphics card is enabled, put your hand on the good size torx screwdriver and remove the cover, so you can use the integrated graphics card adapter.

You go to control panel, system maintenance, and then Device Manager. Scroll down and look for graphics cards, click the plus tab, click on the model of integrated graphics card you have. Then right click and a menu appears, select turn off and that's all. Then follow the instructions on your new graphics card. Good luck...

  • Allocate more RAM for integrated graphics - HP Pavilion 15-n225nr TouchSmart laptop

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n225nr Notebook PC, which is optimal for workloads but (A10 2.10 GHz AMD quad-core processor, came with 8 GB of ram and 750 GB HARD drive), however, recently tried to make a few games but this laptop has an intgrated GPU. I read that the upgrade of RAM will do not much but I ordered a second card of 8 GB of ram, because I want to increase the framerate by every single FPS I can ge and I'm coming soon, so I'll have 16 GB of RAM and the fact he'll be dual channel is a more. I have also read that by upgrading the RAM you can upgrade the amount of ram used by your integrated gpu because there will be more RAM available for use. I don't know if by upgradinng the RAM VRAM happen automatically or if I'll be able to do it manually, I read that you can do it via the BIOS, I don't know for shure if possible.

So, is it possible to increase the fraction of my RAM than my integrated graphics card uses?, if yes, how?

If it is not possible to what can do to increase my FPS on the game?, because I can't change a dedicated GPU because it's a laptop.

Thanks in advance for any help.

According to the specifications of your computer, to graph total 4195 MB memory is the maximum that can be used. Regardless of the amount of dedicated, is all that can be used as memory dedicated. As a general rule, Windows controls the amount of memory used by the video card. This means that you will not be able to change the settings in the BIOS that will change this option. This isn't a computer class in the game and you expect too much of him.

  • Qosmio F50-126: how to activate the integrated graphics card?

    Running Windows 7 on F50 - 126.
After checking my specs on the site Web of toshiba, here are the details on my graphics card: -.

    Manufacturer: NVIDIA;
type: NVIDIA; GeForce; 9700 M GTS supporting TurboCache; technology
memory: 512 MB dedicated VRAM (up to 1 791 MB of total available graphics memory using the TurboCache™ technology with 3 GB of system memory)
memory type: GDDR3 (800 MHz) video RAM (resp. RAM video and system memory combined)
connected bus: PCI Express 16 x

I want to know if I can turn on my integrated graphics card. I know that clicking on powersave suppose to turn off my 9700 m and go to the integrated card, but the laptop did not want it actually disabled.
Like, watching a video or a game of battery the difference between "Powersafe" and "Balance" is not that much.

The computer seems to work at full power.
Because I remember when I had Vista installed, the game and used trolling videoes. But on windows 7 it doesn't. Anyone know how to activate the integrated card?

I have my computer updated completely and everthing... How d I do not know if my card is turned on or off?

    Hi mate

    I'm a bit confused of m.
    Why?
Because you ask about activation and deactivation of the graphics card (integrated).

First of all, there is ONLY a single graphic chip!
    It s a GeForce 9700 M GTS graphics card.

The graphics chip supports the 512 MB GDDR3 own (he dedicated video memory s) and it s is always available!

In addition, the chip supports shared system memory. It depends on the available main memory!

    For example:
    * With the help of Win 32 bit system *.

    System memory: * 2 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
Shared system memory: 767 MB (using 3 GB of RAM you 1279 MB)
TOTAL available graphics memory: 1279 MB (1791 using 3 GB of RAM)

    System memory: * 4 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
    Shared system memory: 1279MB
TOTAL available graphics memory: 1791 MB

    * With the help of Win 64 bit system *.

    System memory: * 2 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
    Shared system memory: 767 MB
    TOTAL available graphics memory: 1279MB

    System memory: * 4 GB *.
    Dedicated video memory: 512 MB
    Shared system memory: 1791
    TOTAL available graphics memory: 2303

As you can see the use of Win 64-bit and 4 GB of RAM would be better for the graphics card as the use of the file Win 32 bit with 4 GB of RAM

If I install a pcie card it will automatically change in edge in pcie bios? I can't get to the bios to change the settings because of the empty screen.

    Dan, welcome to the forum.

Yes, when you install a discrete integrated graphic subsystem video card will be automatically disabled.

You need to be careful when you choose a video card.  Latest maps need UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  The last series of cards that do not require UEFI was 640 gt.  In addition, you may need to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  Most newer cards require at least 400W to work properly.

  • Integrated graphics card

Please be nice... not everyone is a computer geek...

I tried to find another post related to this, but I couldn't.

I bought the Y510 several months ago - it has these features:

    Processor

Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T2330

    System Board

    Intel 965GM

    Memory

    2 * 1GB (667)

    HARD DRIVE

    Intel Pro 3945ABG

    Card reader

    6 in 1

    Modem

    56 k Fastlink

    OPERATING SYSTEM

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

I asked the sales representative if there are video cards that can be used in the Express slot, and he said yes. So I figured I could buy it and if I felt like adding a video card, I could put one in there. It turns out that that was not true. And Yes... I know... you can not upgrade the integrated graphic card.

But there are houses (such as pci or other) inside the laptop containing unnecessary components, such as the card reader express, which can be replaced for a video card? I don't want to put the video card in the reader, but set back from the drive and putting in a card in its place.

Believe me, I have no idea. Talking to me as a 'newbie', not as someone who's trying to sound smart. I would appreciate an answer!

The graphics alone 'upgrade' I know is the nVidia MXM platform, I do not think any laptops announced with Intel X 3100 have. It is a type of housing (flowing PCI express bus) which allows a graphics card to be inserted (and later upgraded). In General, if find you a system with a third-party graphics card (in the case of MXM, a nVidia card) it can eventually be upgraded to a better-model nVidia card in the future.

To be honest, I don't think he'll be a lot more that you can do internally to improve the graphics...

EDIT: it seems that ATi also has a similar type of technology called "AXIOM", but I don't think you'd find it at all on the Y510s. Everything I've read about them is associated with nVidia.

I continued to improve and maintain my laptop in perfect condition.  I have upgraded to Win 10 and increased my system of power, increased my RAM to a maximum of 16 GB and stimulated my hard drive internal to a 1 to with a secondary Win 7 OS using a 750 GB insertable in the DVD drawer.  Everything works very well.  I usually my laptop on a fan base to keep things cool and operating a peak, but for these times I am in portable mode, I need to be sure I am I protected if I want to replace my old Fan to make sure I keep my system cool when not on the fan base.
