Desktop a6457c Pavilion: bad card integrated graphics

If I install a pcie card it will automatically change in edge in pcie bios? I can't get to the bios to change the settings because of the empty screen.

Dan, welcome to the forum.

Yes, when you install a discrete integrated graphic subsystem video card will be automatically disabled.

You need to be careful when you choose a video card.  Latest maps need UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  The last series of cards that do not require UEFI was 640 gt.  In addition, you may need to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  Most newer cards require at least 400W to work properly.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion 550-A17C: two monitors with desktop HP Pavilion 550-A17C? (Graphics, AMD Radeon R5)

Hello. My computer is a HP Pavilion Desktop 550 - A17C with AMD Radeon R5 (integrated) graphics card. Can he take charge of two monitors? I did everything I can think of, including searching the Internet for a number of hours for solutions. For the life of me I can't get the computer to detect the second monitor, when I have two connected monitors.

I connect the main monitor with a VGA cable and the second with a DVI cable. The computer only has a VGA connector and a DVI connector. There is no HDMI port (serioulsly and I bought this computer as three months previously, as a refurb...) (Lol).

What I want to do, is extend the display. My hardware is unable to conduct two screens? A USB video adapter solve the problem?

    Thank you

    @AFL2016, welcome to the forum.

First of all, make sure that you use a DVI - D connector:

  • HP Pavilion A14Ld-550 desktop: this office has a replaceable graphics card?

The HP Pavilion 550 desktop computer - A14Ld has a replaceable graphics card? I often hear on an integrated graphics card, it is the question that I am trading for this model, and it has 4 GB memory graphics dedicated with AMD Radeon R5 graphics card and an AMD A8-6410 processor, 8 GB of memory and a 1 TB of HDD with Windows 8.1. So, is this model with the characteristics I've listed have his replaced graphics card?

The answer is NO, because the HP is not a 550-A14Ld graphic slot PCIEx16. The actual GPU is anchored in the CPU chip. The concept is a like a laptop computer in a matter of funds. The real PSU (power supply) is really a brick 65W, very similar to a computer laptop power supply. I'm so glad you asked!

    I have the following:

The video card seems to have gone out and tried the following:

    Operating system reinstallation

Uninstalled & drivers Reinstalled & restoration

Before attempts above, no changes had been made to software or hardware only led to the same result: the video seems to be fine, and then it crashes and hangs and doesn't eventually having a hard reboot how, the computer loads the integrated video/graphic card.

I need to buy a replacement video/graphics card, but I'm not sure what card I need to be aware of, or that my computer can handle as a replacement and maybe a possible upgrade (not necessary) - any help in this regard would be most appreciated.

    Thank you!

    I think it's a good choice.

The comments seem positive most of the time that the fan seems to be quiet.

I don't know if your previous card had HDMI.

When you install your new video card, it can disable your sound system because of the HDMI audio chip on the video card.

If you do not lose your integrated audio system, after you install the video drivers, reboot the machine, go into BIOS, find the onboard audio setting. It can be set to Auto or disabled. Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the configuration when you have made the change and again when you exit the BIOS.

Upon restart, you will have your on-board audio back.

    Impatience back on your part.

You go to control panel, system maintenance, and then Device Manager. Scroll down and look for graphics cards, click the plus tab, click on the model of integrated graphics card you have. Then right click and a menu appears, select turn off and that's all. Then follow the instructions on your new graphics card. Good luck...

  • Desktop HP Pavilion 500-223w: upgrading my video card

I have a desktop HP Pavilion 500-223w with integrated graphics card intel. I want to install a 3d ready geforce graphics card in the pci expansion slot. How can I disable the integrated video card? I went to the bios Setup, but has not seen something on the video card.

    Hello:

When you add a video card in this model, the integrated graphics card is automatically disabled as it is on most of today's desktop PCs.

If your PC came with the factory W10, you need to change two other BIOS settings.

See this guide for what settings change... This applies to every PC comes with Windows 8 or newer installed.

  • Allocate more RAM for integrated graphics - HP Pavilion 15-n225nr TouchSmart laptop

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n225nr Notebook PC, which is optimal for workloads but (A10 2.10 GHz AMD quad-core processor, came with 8 GB of ram and 750 GB HARD drive), however, recently tried to make a few games but this laptop has an intgrated GPU. I read that the upgrade of RAM will do not much but I ordered a second card of 8 GB of ram, because I want to increase the framerate by every single FPS I can ge and I'm coming soon, so I'll have 16 GB of RAM and the fact he'll be dual channel is a more. I have also read that by upgrading the RAM you can upgrade the amount of ram used by your integrated gpu because there will be more RAM available for use. I don't know if by upgradinng the RAM VRAM happen automatically or if I'll be able to do it manually, I read that you can do it via the BIOS, I don't know for shure if possible.

So, is it possible to increase the fraction of my RAM than my integrated graphics card uses?, if yes, how?

If it is not possible to what can do to increase my FPS on the game?, because I can't change a dedicated GPU because it's a laptop.

Thanks in advance for any help.

According to the specifications of your computer, to graph total 4195 MB memory is the maximum that can be used. Regardless of the amount of dedicated, is all that can be used as memory dedicated. As a general rule, Windows controls the amount of memory used by the video card. This means that you will not be able to change the settings in the BIOS that will change this option. This isn't a computer class in the game and you expect too much of him.

  • Integrated above the graphics card dedicated graphics card, I think?

OK, just to put my problems in perspective, I have a laptop-> Hp pavilion dv6 (on the laptop). It is 2 months old, has a processor intel i5 2.30 GHz processor (Duo of course). I have a graphics card integrated on the motherboard according to the usual and a dedicated Radeon 6490 M. in the past, I've never used Nvidia so I'm not at all familiar with the material.

The problem I have is when I go to play a steam game (for example today, counter strike source (CS source)) said that the graphics card I use is not known for their serves. Then I'm fine, if that's the case, the computer must choose using built-in dedicated memory (the best clear). Now for the players no, engine cs source is not really powerful compared to our days the games.

My logic is that a graphics card as up-to-date as mine and the fees I paid for the laptop, I should have dedicated memory and computing power necessary to run the game to its full potential. Its really frustrating, I suggest that person never buy HP again. I already have so many problems. Maybe it's not right to blame the company material, but most of the problems were hardware problems (a part of the single Pass system - TERRIBLE!). I'd appreciate any help, ANY HELP reallly! Thank you

    Hello

Your PC think that Steam does not need a lot of graphics computing power. So, it's not getting 6490 m and thus, Steam only detects the integrated graphics card. What you want to do is spend on 6490M before launching Steam.

  • power supply and integrated graphics card upgrad

I have an a6767c of office with integrated graphics. I would like to upgrade with a good card modest price. Perhaps nivida 9800? also a new power supply would be advised that told me. I can spend about about 250.00 maybe more I can install myself. Thinking maybe 600 watt PSU? Im a bit new to pc, but learn quickly. any help would be great.

Corsair 400CX would be my 1st choice.  With respect to the GPU, I'd go with the Radeon 4770.  Measure the case to ensure that the GPU will adjust.  These Gumball HP is designed for browsing the web and light desktop functions.  You can migrate content to a best case (Antec 300).  Final cost will be always under $ 200!

I bought a computer with the integrated graphics card intel and a dedicated graphics card.   I use my RCA HDTV as a monitor for my system.  There is no VGA port on the Tower, so I have to use the HDMI port to get on television.   The problem I have is that it seems to always return to the integrated card intel and not good graphics card.   First thing I noticed when I hooked it up and the resolution of the screen is cut off at the ends.  I could go through and set it so that nothing has been cut, but the only way I can get it to work on the NVIDIA card is if I go in the resolution of the screen and set it as if I had two monitors.

When I go into the resolution of the screen / monitor settings, sound as if he thinks that I have 2 different monitors hung.  When I identify, the flashes '2', so I know she feels the one I use is the second.

If I use these settings I get this - .pic (http://i46.tinypic.com/2n718rc.jpg), I get the error message "you are not currently using a screen attached to a Nvidia GPU... pic (http://i47.tinypic.com/1zvg80l.jpg)»

But if I use this - photo (http://i48.tinypic.com/o53oyt.jpg) link, it works very well.   Until I start Steam, once a game is loading, it jumps on the integrated map and we start chugging along.

It wouldn't be that big of a deal, but one of the biggest reasons that I bought the thing was so that I could play on it.  I go to a game and while its on the integrated map, just of becomes mud and does not move.

  • CARD READER USB FOR DESKTOP HP PAVILION 500 - C60?

I have a new 500 - C60 HP Pavilion desktop computer, but the front card reader does not accept the largest flash Compact Flash (CF) card.  I have an old USB multi-card with four different card slots, which accepts the card see  Would this setting work satisfactorly?

    Thank you

    shamrock838

    Hello @shamrock838,

I understand that your desktop HP Pavilion 500 - c60 PC does not support the biggest Compact Flash Memory Card and you are curious as to whether or not you can install an USB multicard Reader which accepts the memory card see First of all, you have reason 7 - in1 media card reader did it installed does not supported CF memory card, but it supports the following cards:

    • Digital safe™ (SD)
    • Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
    • SDXC
    • Memory Stick
    • Memory Stick Select
    • Memory Stick PRO
    • Memory Stick MagicGate

I don't see why you can't connect the 4 - in1 USB multicard reader you have. Until the operating system detects and installs, you should be fine.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Pavilion p6-2143w: upgrade graphics card for Pavilion p6-2143w

I found the specs for the office here.  I try to get a medium to low end without graphics card to upgrade the power supply or something else. I tried to install a Nvidia Geforce GT 730 but without success. With this card installed, I turn on my desk and get stopped at the HP screen that says "Press esc for boot options" and pressing esc does nothing. I tried to start in safe mode and disable the integrated graphics card driver and then install the card once again, but always without success. • HPE h9-1001de: HPE h9-1001de - broken graphics card can I use the integrated graphics card Intel?

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c03106002

The integrated graphics went broken today. Research on the spec Web site I noticed that the Intel's integrated graphics. I won't buy another video card, if there is a graphics processor integrated into the processor.

Indeed, there are two additional DVI ports; However, they are sealed with a sign "DO NOT REMOVE", and each port is sealed with two screws with a strange format (star with six faces?).

Why these DVI ports are sealed? Why with this format live strange? I hope that's not for licensing reasons, and that I'm still able to use them as DVI ports...

    Thank you.

    Hello:

I don't think it is sealed for any other reason than from your PC with a video of the add-on card, they would not people plugging in these ports DVI cables and by calling HP support complaining that the video does not work (because an add on card disables the integrated graphics card).

Remove your discrete PCIe x 16 graphics card, so the built-in graphics card is enabled, put your hand on the good size torx screwdriver and remove the cover, so you can use the integrated graphics card adapter.
