Integrated .swf files can be retrieved from a PDF file?

I have several .swf files that I use in a digital portfolio PDF I send to potential customers. The original .swf and .fla files have been lost. Is it possible to extract or retrieve a built-in .swf to a PDF file so I can use a decompiler to recreate the .fla? Thank you.

If you have placed the SWF files using the Annotations of Rich Media (content - multimedia - etc.) then you can ignore my notes on the portfolios and maps - refers to the system navigator in a Portfolio PDF. In your case, you will need to use one of the tools I've mentioned, or try to hand.

I don't know of a Mac equivalent to surgeon or Can Opener. With effort, you can do the same thing manually:

  • Create a blank PDF and copy - paste into your SWF file using the select an object in Acrobat, if you do nothing else in the file to worry.
  • Use the preflight in Acrobat Pro to remove the compression of document structure and register again.
  • Open the PDF file in a text editor such as Notepad ++ that can manipulate binary data and extract the flow of the object relative to the SWF file (look for the binary data segment starting with "SCF" and ending before the word 'endstream' - delete all the rest above and below these lines. Makes no changes to the binary data and do not leave blank lines above the "CFS" or below the last binary character.
  • Save the data to a new file, give it a. SWF extension and you're done.

  • How can copy text from a PDF file in the right order?

    I get texts translation of customers in PDF files. I need to copy some of the text of these files in Word, but the selection of Adobe jumps tool documents around, seemingly at random, sort of paragraphs and lines from different locations on a page are automatically selected together. The tables are particularly bad. If I try to copy an entire file, receives yet more random order. For example, all the titles of the document can be gathered in one place. I tried various PDF conversion software. They put all the PDF content in the areas of text, which is not suitable for my purposes. I want to just copy the PDF files in the exact order in which they appear on the page in text form that I can handle in Word. I'm now up to version 9.3.0 and there has been no improvement. Is there a solution to this problem?

    Hey, Marcoola.

    I agree that by copying and sticky from PDF to Word maunally are really difficult and tedious work. I have encounterd this problem before. Fortunately the problem can be solved perfectly now. I recommend AnyBizSoft PDF to Word Converter, which is totally free for months before. This conversion mode supports three app - batch, partial, right-click conversion and it even supports encrypted PDF conversion, previously you must have legal rights. And the conversion quality is superb, all the original text, page, images and hyperlinks will be preserved in an editable word document. It is more useful than those software online for free. It will be useful.

  • FTP settings can be retrieved from a Time Machine backup?

    I had to nuke my Mac and reload the OS, but I did not export the managed sites and FTP of Dreamweaver settings before you do; However, I have a Time Machine backup of the computer before I wiped the drive. Anyone know if I can recover the backup settings and copy them into the new installation? Two copies of the DW are the same and have been installed since the creative cloud. The only difference is the operating system where the old machine has the new El Capitan and Yosemite.

    I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, Mac, so a little extra detail on explanations will be very appreciated. Thanks for any help provided.

    Yes, they can.  In your time machine backup, you will need to go to the library: Application Support: Adobe: commune: {Version}: Sites.  Just take this file 'Site' Time Machine to restore and you should be good to go.

  • Can I retrieve pages of pdf reader app on Windows RT Surface?

    I use the reader provided with my surface app and I would like to know if there is a way to extract pages of documents and save as a separate file. The files to download are often hundreds of pages long and only 20 or 30 ask me. The search function works very well to locate the pages that I need, but I need a way to save these pages without saving the entire document. This way I can email sellers only information they need.

    Figured it out. Under the spell of devices send the pages you want to a single Note. Open a Note, and then save the file. Go to the file menu and export the file as PDF. Seems like a lot of work when all they have to do is to be able to enumerate the Reader app under devices identical to a Note. Looks like they also have plenty of room on the command bar to add this feature. This probably isn't a big problem for most people, but I use this process all the time.

    I just got Adobe DC Pro subscription version and I can not find a snapshot tool or if there is a similar function.

    Y at - it a snapshot tool or an equitable solution in DC Pro?

  • How can I control a button from a swf file to another swf file?

    Hello

    I have a file main.swf . From this file I can access the file external.swf which is an external file.

    Now, how can I write code on my file main.swf to the button that is on my external.swf file?

    Activities.MainPanel.close_btn.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClickClose);

    Activities.MainPanel.close_btn (This button is actually the external.swf file, but I want to write code on main.swf file to run it on external.swf) How can I control a single swf in another swf file button?

    Thank you.

    Some examples of code that you should be able to adapt to your needs.

    create a new instance of the loader object.

    var loader: Loader = new Loader();

    make the download request...

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("external.swf");

    Add a full event for the loader listener

    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);

    start the actual loading process...

    Loader.Load (request);

    Create a new empty movieClip instance, you place the movie loaded into this movieClip after loading

    var externalMovie:MovieClip;

    This function is called when the download is complete and the file is ready for use.

    function completeHandler(event:Event):void {}

    set the contents of the film to the new empty movieClip...

    externalMovie = MovieClip (event.target.content);

    Add this new film to the display list.

    addChild (externalMovie);

    }

    Now you can reference the film loaded with the name of the instance 'externalMovie '. So if, for example, you want to address a button in the film loaded, you can write something like that on the main timeline:

    externalMovie.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, btnClickClose);

    function btnClickClose(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    }

    Hi all

    How can I retrieve a file psd of my hard drives?

    Hello

    You can download a PSD file on your creative cloud by clicking on the download PSD icon in the control panel of the extract. If the PSD comps are developed by another person or a team, you can them be shared on creative cloud. YOUCAN do to download files and upload them to your account either directly by logging into creative cloud or through the Panel pulls in Dreamweaver.

    As extracted from Control Panel is available in 2014 CC DW and especially version I don't think you should have no problem installation application cloud creative at work.

  • Captivate 7 - where can I find the settings of publication for swf files?

    In fact, we created a tool for creating swf files that our company publishes files Captivate and Adobe Connect. With our last update to Captivate 7 we can now successfully publish on YouTube (finally) but now the swf file settings have dissappeaered - we need for our customer publications.

    1. How can we publish Captivate 7 records in swf?

    2. If they have been taken-someone ' a has a routine to workaround?

    Thank you so much - we have searched high and low to find answers.

    Peter

    You can deploy MP4, from a file-cpvc also internally, but this is pure video, non-interactive.

    The classic way to create a simulation with Captivate uses automatic Capture (file cptx), where you have the choice between the demonstration, Simulation and training simulation assessment (with an increase of degree of interactivity). And these files can be published to SWF/HTML (interactive) PDF format...

  • I can't import a SWF file into Premiere Pro

    Please indicate how to import a SWF file in Premiere Pro. I tried to import as a film, but it wouldn't work.

    Hello

    From Adobe Premiere Pro 7.1, you can't import FLV files directly into Adobe Premiere Pro. While the TCF work with FLV images, use Adobe Media Encoder to import FLV files and transcode the FLV files in a file in charge of type. For example, use the H.264 format.

    After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder, always support the importing of FLV files.

    Export of FLV file is still available in Adobe Premiere Pro.

    Use your charger's close() method.  but don't try and apply only if nothing is currently responsible or, I think, you will trigger an error.

  • Can I use multiple SWF files in iOS app?

    Hello everyone,

    I need to create an app for iOS from an existing Flash project.

    On the stage of the main flash, several SWFs are loaded dynamically.

    Is it possible to compile, in addition to the main file, all other SWFs too?

    If I load the swf file in the files "target" on the menu 'Setting AIR for IOS', they are copied into the swf, which makes it impossible to use the app on iPad.

    Thank you all

    Yes, you can load any number of SWFs in flash while developing for IOS, but the external swf file must not contain any script. And you can simply add the swf file in the files in a folder.

  • Extract a SWF file from a PDF file

    I have Acrobat 9 Pro and Pro 10 Windows and Acrobat 9 Pro on Mac OS. Is it possible to extract a SWF in a PDF file so that I can use the SWF file for other purposes? There is no security on the PDF file.

    Not with the Acrobat user interface. In theory, you could write a plugin to do this, or use a third party application to extract the COS dictionary directly from the PDF file at the byte level, but Acrobat isn't about to offer any help.
