Integration of EBS with SSO/OID/OAM

People - I did not understand if this is the right forum to post.

We run 12.1 E-business - and have enabled SSO using the normal route of authentication OID/LDAP in AD from a server Linux X 86 - 64

While we run E-Business on linux Z, the SSO/OID instance is running on a stand-alone server for x 86-64 linux.

My question is this - is being replaced by Oracle Access Manager (11g) SSO?

Also the application server is being deprecated in favor of Weblogic server for forms and reports in the E-Business Suite for future versions?

If I'm level OID 10.1.4.3 to OAM 11 g, everyone sings the steps successfully... There is a lot of information available on 1304550.1, 876539.1, 975182.1 and 1286596.1. These documents, however, take you in circles...

Can someone who has just experienced a succesfull install and integration in E Business Suite, point me in the right direction?

Thank you

Can someone please provide me with the DOCs of MOS or any other docs for: how the authentication of users will be coming in EBS when using SSo.

How is it different when using SSO? And what are the tables and / or files that it touched during this process?

But none of above notes give the details about the workflow when EBS is integrated with SSO.

It is covered with (integration Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with 10gR 3 Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle Single Sign-On (10.1.4.3) [376811.1 ID]). See also (Electronic Signature and UNIQUE password authentication doesn't for workflow Notifications [736942.1 ID]).

  • Integration with existing SSO/OID infra existing EBS.

We have an EBS existing 11i (11.5.10.cu2) with users, accounts, and we are looking to implement SSO.
We use environmental SSO/OID current servers related to the "Apex Applications", OID is populated with Microsoft AD. We have like 10% of users_ids of OID and FND_USERS shift. We can use e-mail.

We seek to extend our SSO/OID to our EBS courses.
I went through most of the documentation and I was unable to find our implementationscenario

Our SSO/OID is done and working.

But how to validate this environment vs. EBS?
Is there a document for the steps we have to follow?

    Jose.

  • EBS in OID export profile with SSO

    Hello

I have integrated with SSO and OID EBS. I have BSE OID import active profile. It's users created in OIDS are currently created in EBS.

I want to use the export for EBS to migrate users OID profile too for a two-way synchronization. As I have my SSO integrated with EBS, the FND_USERS in EBS does not record the password, instead of this it shows 'EXTERNAL'.

The question is: when I create a new user in EBS, its uid and password are stored in FND_USERS. So when profile exports its record in OID, the FND_USER this time will always have the password or it will set to 'EXTERNAL '.

I need all users to be authenticated by the SSO with password controls in the OID and not in ' FND . USERS' _

    Thanks in advance,
    Naomie

    Hello Lawrence,.

Regardless of the method of synchronization (uni - or bidirectional), user passwords for E-Business Suite integrated with SSO environments are managed entirely OID. The value of password in FND_USER applies only to users who are authorized to bypass SSO and log on locally via the page OA_HTML/AppsLocalLogin.jsp.

I don't have direct experience on a system configured for bidirectional synchronization and I havne't got up the documentation to be sure, but my assumption is that, when you create a user in EBS, the process will be as follows:
    (1) user name and password will be passed to EBS to OID as well as other information as specified in the provisioning profile
    (2) OID generates a GUID for the new user, which is stored in FND_USER. USER_GUID once the user authenticates to the EBS via SSO

I hope this helps answer your question. If this isn't the case, I'm happy to try to clarify.

    Kind regards

  • Upgrade ERP database 11g and ATG7 with SSO integration

Please let us know how to perform upgrade BY Database 11g and ATG7 with SSO decline.

    Kind regards.

Is there any space stage, do we do if we have implemented SSO after upgrade DB 11 g and 7 ATG?

You can follow the same approach to upgrade the database and apply the fixes 7 ORS ATG group level.

Please make sure that you apply the patches in (known issues on top of 11i. ATG_PF. H.Delta.7 (RUP7) - 6241631 [858801.1 ID]). In addition, make a full backup before you start this on your instance of production and if possible get an instance cloned with SSO enabled and test all patches on an identical instance.

  • Integration of SAP with ERPI overview

    Hello

I've done the integration of hyperion with EBS. Here are the basic steps I've done.

    1. install ERPI.

2 - has given the Apps schema and initialized.

3 - Select the general ledgers.

    4. define mappings according to EBS.

    5 create the rule.

6 import data from BSE-> hyperion.

    My questions are,

1 - How to achieve this in SAP?

2 - steps are almost the same? or different?

    3. how the participation of functional person is necessary?

    4. how knowledge of SAP is necessary?

    5. how many types of cards is there for the integration of the EPRI-SAP?

6 it is recommended by oracle?

7 - What other ways I have move given sap in hyperion? can I use informatica?

    Concerning

    What is ERPI or FDMEE?

    (1) integration SAP is documented in the FDMEE Administrator's guide and the Guide of the adapter you can download from the site of bristlecone pines

    (2) integration SAP is completely different. It has different configuration of the side steps ODI. There are also some spots on the side AS creating a user for ODI (JCo connection)

    (3) the FDMEE-SAP adapter configuration is usually performed by a technician because it requires some knowledge of ODI. A functional person would act as soon as the adapter is configured so that it can configure FDMEE with respect to any other source

    (4) generally the core SAP team will configure SAP as required for integration and you don't need really SAP kwnoledge

    5) there are 6 predefined maps (documented in the Administrator's guide). That's FDMEE, to ERPI you will need to go to the latest patch for the 6 I guess

    (6) oracle cannot recommend an adapter because it depends on what you are going to integrate. If you want NEW GL balances, then use the NEWGL adapter.

    (7) Informatica does not hyperion support > = 11.1.2.3 I guess that if you would be able to use it, but you'll have to customize adapter for Hyperion, if you have the version 11.1.2.3 +. This can be done using APIs (for example: HFM API)

If you are in the previous version you can use but I recommend not to use because it is not supported.

Another option would be to use autonomous ODI that uses the same approach as adapter FDMEE-SAP from the technical point of view. In deed the SAP-FDMEE adapter uses the KMs ODI - SAP

  • Integrator of ERP with respect

    Dear all,

We are implementing Hyperion Planning in 64-bit Windows servers. We try to make the integration between Oracle EBS with Hyperion Planning.

    Server: Windows 64
    Application: Hyperion 64bits

If we go ODI 10.1.3.5.0(64 bit software) or ODI 10.1.3.5.0(32 bit software)?

Could you please guide me in this situation.

    Thank you
    PC

    Hello

Planning is not 64-bit on windows (currently at 11.1.1.3) platform
In regards to ODI, if you are running 64 bit and ODI is supported then it is probably a good choice to go for the 64-bit version.

    See you soon

    Action create DataSource

Provide details and the connection Test

    Save

Subsequently to run synchronization for the data of the Source ERP Instance

    I hope that helps!
