  We have a requirement for the integration of the OPA 10.4 with Oracle E - business suite.

  The condition is hypocritical:

  (1) EBS can call rules of the takeover bid on any screen - I think that this will be achieved by Oracle determinations Server (ODS) with probably a middleware between both to facilitate the exchange of webservice.

  Request- I just wanted to know if there is another way to better or if it is only best option?

  Are there examples of projects or pointers that can help us get a better understanding of the present?

  (2) given certain conditions of release in EBS, the modules of the OPA may be invoked, but this time there may be a few involved OPA interview screens.

  Hi Nithin,

  The main reason for this Oracle XE database can't handle such a huge process. Same Oracle XE is not supported in production.
  Note that SOA requires 300 process and BAM more than 100 processes (400 total), which is in addition to any other requirement its 500 to parameter.but process during the installation of Oracle SOA RCU, I hope you gave 300 single right.so his can't handle as much load if use B2B BAM integration.

  The ultimate goal is to have need to display active data in the right BAM reports? so, if you are using Oracle XE DB its may be not possible to show the active data.that the reason Oracle recommended use / works with Oracle 10 g Oracle 11 g versions EE and EE.

  I'm a developer APEX with no experience of BSE, but I took on a project to review the current context where the APEX and EBS are integrated. The first thing that I found is that 40 + Apex Applications all use the EBS 'APPS' schema as the schema work space of analysis, I read in the document Oracle 'white paper of March 2015 release on Extending Oracle E-business 12.1 and above using APEX', is a large, no!. Below are the details of the environment. In addition, they use a PLSQL Embedded walkway that once, it looks like the less favored approach and a listener of the Apex on (Glassfish?) must be used.

  So my question is... what would be the best approach, should I change all the existing application to use a newly created Apex analysis schema for example APEX_EBS_EXTENSION and then create views and grants him so it can access the data of the applications. I do this manually through all the applications by looking at each piece of code? This seems a very unpleasant approach. Should we deviate from the integrated bridge, any guidance would be appreciated?

  The task that made me initially was to manage the upgrade of the schema in the database to 5 APEX Apex, regression test all existing applications and create new applications using the universal theme, but I want to get the House in order before the upgrade.

  Yes. You must move far EPG to a better option.

  You should go for upgrade of the Oracle APEX of 4.1 to 5.x with existing architecture first. Regression test your applications to remove if any errors introduced by upgrade. The kickoff of a new project to migrate your applications to universal theme.

  An addition to this small issue, but I do not know if this persists at the time that as I write this.
  From my experience it IS certainly a related permission/security problem, we met it when setting the OPA users on a Windows 7 operating system. User on Windows 7 permissions should allow the OPA write in specific folders and files (when the server starts Tomcat integrated this way: choose Build > build and debug... and with screens).
  When a regular user of Win 7 is trying to debug a project with screens, it receives the error mentioned above (even if the user was added later to the Administrators group).
  Solution: you choose the run as Administrator option in the context menu at the launch of OPA on the desktop. In this way the permission error (and all Java exceptions) disappeared and all the functions of the OPA worked as expected.
  To configure a user in Windows 7 to launch takeover bids like this, the attribute special user must be set on the user properties page > membership to be administrator tab (I think this is true for all the Windows operating system newer than Win XP SP3).
