Delete Firefox applet in web pages.

I came back to Firefox after six months of use of Chrome. I now have a java applet of Facebook to the odious address on every site, I opened. The only way I could remove it was stopping all the java. I prefer not to do this, but I just can't stand this bloody icon on each page. Please help me remove.
Thank you.

Hi Griz48, Akamai is just a distribution network of content used by many companies. I think that the question of which accesses this site remains open. You can review and disable all non-essential or unrecognized modules on these two tabs:

  • Prints Firefox 29 blank web pages... or... print web pages in reduced format: does not match the paper size.

I am currently using Firefox 29.

I try to print a web page, for example, a game of words crossed from a journal (the link is below).

    http://www.freep.com/assets/freep/PDF/C422066148.PDF

The puzzle is displayed full-screen, but when I try to print, I get a blank print: nothing is displayed

In Firefox 27, printing would be reduced in size, although the print setting "Fit to page" has been selected.

I don't have this problem when you use Internet Explorer.

There is a bug in the PDF Viewer in Firefox 29. There should be an update in the near future to fix. For now, the best solution is to use a plugin instead of the built-in Viewer. Since you have the Adobe Acrobat plugin, it is a logical choice for you. This article explains how to make the transition: How to disable the built-in PDF Viewer and use another Viewer.

  • How can Firefox convert a Web page in another language in English please?

When I open a Web page that is in French, how can I get Firefox to askme if I want the site translated into English? Firefox used to open a strip at the top of the Web page that allowed me to click Yes to translate the page. Firefox 3.6.13 does not now. I found that translation add-on to do not the case easily. Any ideas please?

Who has never been an integrated option of Firefox, but would have been added by an extension. You already have the Google toolbar installed, which was an option to translate the pages.

If you want not the Google dictionary extension, Google toolbar and Google Translate adds an entry in the Tools menu to translate a page - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/google-dictionary-and-google-t/

  • Firefox opens a web page to download the update to Firefox

Firefox opens the yahoo.com homepage, but another tab open with FF color and the logo indicating to download this update to Firefox. https://oophig-tools.com/3571824514203/0a3f0fb3b55733687efd3c163838392c/b65d0c99f71438740adbe2e913464f86.html I checked the start page that is only Yahoo.com and I checked the addons and plugins that only has the correct plugins listed. I use Avast with Avast FF addon and Avast says the website is legitimate (LOL). The downloaded file is a JS file, and I did not download it. What's funny, it's the web address, I listed does not load if I manually enter the web address. I can't find anything on this web page.

uBlock origin seems to be effective to stop such false update messages. at least he did when I tested it in July not long after this feat firstly saw the day and I was able to catch him.

  • How to make Firefox exit reloading web pages of several times (while I read a page), so that the back button to return to the previous page

The back button did not work correctly for perhaps a month. I have finally addressed the problem but have no solution. Updated for Firefox 43.0, turned off all my Add-ons back to header by default, then also ran the refreshment of deleted my Add-ons. This problem occurs on many web sites. I'll click on Rawstory.com (for example), and then click an article and start viewing. While the page does not appear to charge that I read, I noticed that the small icon in the tab of Rawstory winks (as if reloading the page). This happens over and over again. Now I know to pull down the window under the left arrow to see what happened. The last page I read ended show 9 times under the arrow to the left, even if all I did was click top once and read the article. I wondered if my click on the scroll bar to read to the bottom of the article is somehow cause this problem (same for the use of my fingers on the touchpad). Thanks for your help.

I continue to download and install the latest version of Firefox (8). The browser indicates that I have Firefox 8. However, on Google Mail and a few other sites, I get a message saying that I am under a version update of Firefox does not support.

    • General.UserAgent.override (comment: it is very probably that you the origin of the problem)

  • I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 13 and all Web pages are displayed wrong

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 13 after having quickly that I didn't have the latest version of Firefox. No Web page seems correct, including this one. All Web pages are displayed "plain." For example when I type in retail right now it takes a box or something to show me where to put space details - no box - only. I use Google as my home page. The Firefox logo was on the Google home page, but it is absent. When I go to Google Mail there is no checkboxes delete mail etc... when I go to the same pages using Internet Explorer pages display correctly if something's not on Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox without deleting my personal settings etc, but this made no difference. If my only option is to delete all my info I should do, but have been on Firefox and really don't want to lose this info. I checked all the settings when I looked not all Web pages display correctly in HELP and all settings are correct. What should I do? I don't want to go back to using IE, but that's basically what I have to do right now to the function to make banking operations etc...

    You are welcome

You can delete this an item marked with a bookmark that appear in the list, if you open this url in a tab and click on the yellow star in the address bar.

This will open the "Edit this bookmark" dialog box and you can click on the delete button to delete the bookmark if you want to delete such an entry marked with a bookmark.
