  Hello Vinay,

  You can't use template security BI Publisher when the BEEP is integrated with OBIEE. You must use the Oracle Fusion Middleware security model in this case because OBIEE manages access. Security model BI Publisher can be used when you use a Simple installation, no installation of the company.   Hi all
  We are working on Siebel 8.1 and OBIEE 10.1.3. I have here two doubts.
  1. after integration with OBIEE in Siebel CRM segmentation, create us a campaign, build a contact with OBIEE segmentation segment.
  My question is how campaign Siebel CRM to get information on the segment result OBIEE subscribers (i.e. how Siebel data linking the result of segmentation OBIEE data)?
  All configurations passing contact id of the side OBIEE for Siebel Siebel ROW_ID?
  
  2. If Siebel CRM requires a segmentation of OBIEE contactid,
  can load us external data (not in Siebel CRM) under the criteria of segmentation for contact segment OBIEE side?

• 11.1.2.4 Hyperion integration with OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0

  Hi all

  We do the POC on integrating OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0 Hyperion 11.2.4 space via SSO.

  The documentation says:

  They should use storage of common identity for the standards body to work. I installed OBIEE home separate middleware and Hyperion Planning in separate middleware, identity storage is different for the two products.

  The integration will work? anyone tried this?

  If not, in the case if we want that it is on the same identity (embedded weblogic ldap) store should install us hyperion and obiee on same middleware House? Is supported the installation of Hyperion and OBIEE on same middleware House?

  I advanced and tried integration and recorded the obiee with hyperion workspace, Navigate-> administer->

  I see OBIEE links but they are not functional and the links read like

  You will need to use a common external directory and configuration that is supported by OBIEE and EMP for example MSAD

  Take a look at the support matrix to see which directories are supported.

  Did you properly tracking registration.properties, did you update ORACLE_BI_HOME, ORACLE_HOME, JAVA_HOME in HSSregistration.bat, is the correct reg.properties being produced in the same location as the HSSregistration utility.

• Integration with Active Directory or SSO OID?

  We seek in our options of single sign-on integration with OBIEE Oracle EBS 11.5.10 on top. Currently we have MS Active Directory and Oracle Internet Directory with our users synchronized upward in both.
  
  Can anyone recommend which is better for the OBIEE LDAP/SSO integration and provide the pros and cons of each? Thanks in advance

  If you have any OID then use with AD, you also an external table if you want to be able to define groups, CheminPortail etc. Groups and users can currently be imported, ad, only authenticated against it. It works fine but OID should be admin much more straightforward.

  Hi Amar,

  I guess you can't get integration with Open Office.

  The only current plugin official for OBIEE is SmartView and even I know there is not a version of Open Office of SmartView.

• Integration with Hyperion and OBIEE

  Hi all

  I intend to incorporate Hyperion Workspace and Shared Services with OBIEE.

  The environment is windows server 2008 R2 64-bit OS, Hyperion 11.1.2.3 64-bit, Obiee 11.1.1.7 64-bit and the database is Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.1.0) - 64-bit.

  We plan to install the EPM system on the same computer on which Oracle BI EE or BI Publisher are installed, can I install two different homes of Middleware? are can I install unique Middleware?

  What product I nead install first? (I plan to install Hyperion first, then set up once I intend to install and configure obiee is correct process)

  After the installation and configuration of hyperion products both obiee I nead to set up all the extra activities for the integration of hyperion (workspace and shared services) with obiee?

  E.M.P. 11.1.2.2 does not support currently OBIEE via the workspace, but I believe that 11.1.2.3 will support the integration of the workspace with OBIEE 11.1.1.7, also I think that there could be a patch to make it work with 11.1.2.2, I can't confirm when it will be available as well.

• Integration of OBIEE 11.1.1.5 with OAM

  I joined OBIEE 11.1.1.5 with OID11g (as part of the integration of the OAM), all users OID translate into obiee. IM able to connect to, in the "analytical", but not able to access reports. Also I am not able to assign groups BI for users of the OID.
  Has anyone done this kind of a scenario facing? Can someone help me please?
  If someone did obiee 11.1.1.5 integration integration with oam 11 g, please provide me with the document that you have followed.

• Not able to apply the filter on certain groups of OBIEE integrated with EBS

  We have integrated with EBS OBIEE. There are some pre configured in OBIEE RPD groups. These groups are all members of the Group GL safety rules. I applied the filter of some safety GL group business model... But are not filtering data for certain groups. For the rest of the groups it works fine.
  
  I applied after filter on table GL Business logical area. (VALUEOF (NQ_SESSION. ("" EBS_BUSINESS_AREA_FULL ") = 'X' OR Core. "Dim - GL business district '." "' Level 20 business code" = VALUEOF (NQ_SESSION. (("" EBS_BUSINESS_AREA "))
  
  But this filter does not work for the following groups
  (1) OBI Budget content Global Support
  OBI 2 overall content power user)
  
  While it works very well for the following groups
  (1) OBI UK broadcast finance.
  Director of finance 2) OBI UK broadcast.
  
  I'm new to EBS. If someone can explain how the EBS group are mapped with RPD OBIEE groups and how the security is implemneted then it will be a great help.

• Integration with 50G

  Hello!

  Well, when I tried to compute the definite integral of | Sin x | I received the message cannot find the signin [0, 2 ft].

  

  I went in RPN mode, and this error persists. I then used [RS] [ENTER] to get the numeric result, and after awhile, I got the correct answer 4. But I can't get the answer simplely by clicking [EVAL].

  I also tried to calculate the antiderivative, and the correct answer returned Calculator -cos (x) * sign (sin (x)). I was wondering why the calculator produces an error when they apply for an accurate result (not digital, without .).

  confirming the latest set of equations:

  

  EVAL would be = - 1

  and -> limit X PI - 0 = 1

  and the limit X-> PI = cannot determine.

  So, there's a singularity...

  Unfortunately, because of the resolution of the screen of 50 G, when the resulting equation for the indefinite integral is drawn, clear breaks in the plot IP and 2 * PI are not 100% clear.

  However, the subsequent calculations confirm that they exist.

  This is what has been shown that when the original integral from 0 to 2PI of | Sin (x) | is calculated,

  It is clear that the 50G automatically sets ON RIGOUREUX, even if it is not enabled in the (likely due to the function absolute value in the equation) indicators.

  THE rigorous is perfectly reasonably expect when the EXACT mode is selected with a function of absolute value.

  now for a pencil and paper method:

  | Sin (x) | is sin(x) from 0 to PI

  | Sin (x) | is - sin (x) IP to 2PI

  so...

  integral from 0 to 2PI of | Sin (x) | can also be expressed in

  integral from 0 to PI of Sin (x)

  +

  integral of the AP to 2PI of-sin (x)

  

  in EXACT MODE (strict mode setting is more questions)

  When EVAL would be = 4.

  I can refer you to a message done previously by Bernard Parisse (one of the developers of CASE).   Bernard said that the CASE cannot intercept all EXACT integration singularities (but it report some).

  Regarding the digital approximation method (help-> NUM) to get the result... I can't offer no answer as to the reason that the singularity is resolved.

  I've never seen a single post indicating what type of digital approximation algorithms are used for approximate integration with the 50G.  Of course, the digital approximation algorithms are distinguished by exact calculations.

  Finally, FYI, here is another good example of the use of 50G with an integral and having to use a bit of paper and pencil methodology (in this case, the method of cauchy principal value) to solve the 50G of the singularity.
