Interactive report download link Question

I have an interactive report where I outer joined to a table containing BLOB objects I want the user to be able to click on a link to download. I have a custom procedure that works with the download link. However, I can't figure out how to get the download link to only display for the records that actually have a file (since it is outside joined, only some records have a file blob associated with them).

Click on this link to see a screenshot of the sample report.

The existing column with the download link was created as a link of the column, where I specify the url (for my custom download proc). The problem as you can see is that it puts the download link in this column for each row, if he really is a file to download or not. I would have rather than a download link where there is a file to download for this record (see the column of my file).

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Decode, matter, or NVL2 the link:

SELECT
    empno,
    NVL2(my_file, 'Download',null) link
  FROM
    emp

Replace # with the URL of your custom procedure.

  • Is it possible to put a condition on downloading interactive reports?

    Hello

You are looking for a State control to use the interactive reports download function. We have a custom auth configuration

and like control usage based on the role of a user is in.

    Thank you!

    Bill

    Hi Bill,

    • Disable the option to DOWNLOAD for IR
    • Create your own button to download data and apply the permission scheme. To download data, you just have to call IR page with appropriate query value. For example CSV will get all the data in a CSV file.
    • Create a load before branch header, which will execute for users 'unauthorized' (you can deny above "authorisation scheme") and to this branch as conditional so it runs only when demand in CSV etc.
    • This branch should re-pointe to the same page by erasing the value of demand

    It may be useful

  • How to align the previous next page link in an interactive report?

    Hello

interactive report navigation, links between pages are displayed at the bottom right. This becomes a problem if the report has many fields, as long as the user must do scroll down and go down to get the previous page by pressing the link (IE (< =) 15-30 (= >)). How is it possible to have this links left-aligned in a report, or put them in another part of the report?

    TIA

    Hello

You can set the display Position of the Pagination of the IR with
    -BottomRight (default)
    -TopLeft
    -TopRight
    -TopAndBottomRight
    -TopAndBottomLeft
If this is not enough, you must use some top of javascript (jQuery prefs) move the object to where you want...

  • Hyperion interactive reporting

    Hi all

I have a few question about Hyperion interactive reporting.

We use the version of the 9.1 IR application in Windows 2003 server and we will migrate the server to Windows 2008. I guess that the IR 9 is not supported in Windows 2008. So, we planned to upgrade the IR to V11. But it seems that IR V11 will be not available after April 30. Reference thread - version the most recent creation of Hyperion interactive reports. (After April 30 THIS year, assuming that Oracle follows political standard, all interactive reporting download files will be removed from all the web sites of Oracle)

I am confused about what I have to install in the new server. Please could you suggest your ideas.

    Thank you

    Michel K

I'm not sure that you get the right information from the employee of Oracle on the other thread.

First support for 11.1.2.x has been extended (in September 2013) lance at April 2018, instead of ending in 2015.  Nothing in the Interactive Reporting statement of direction (from June 2014) is in contradiction with this; in fact, it is said that support IR is linked to the 11.1.2.x Hyperion code base. And IR is still available for download, rather than have disappeared in April.

  • "of data type not supported" in the interactive report

    Hello

I'm trying to download a file from a link to an itneractive report.

In the section "attributes of report" interactive column, I defined in the section "links" in a column of the 'target', 'URL', and the URL like this:
    DOWNLOAD:CONVENTIONS:#FILE_BLOB#:#ID#::#MIME_TYPE#:#FICHIERS#:#LAST_UPDATE#::attachment:Conv
When I run the interactive report, the link view this:
Download: CONVENTIONS: [type]:188:C22.pdf:attachment:Conv of data not supported

The table "CONVENTIONS" is defined as follows:
    ......
ACTIVATE THE 'ID' NUMBER NOT NULL,
    VARCHAR2 (2048 BYTE) "FILES."
    'FILE_BLOB' BLOB,
    "LAST_UPDATE" DATE,
    'MIME_TYPE' VARCHAR2 (255 BYTE)

    Where is my mistake?

    Thanks for your help!

    Christian

    Hello Christina,

Sorry Wizard, you need to use is the "form > form on Table with Report", because the normal create assistant interactive report allows you to enter a query.
Once you have completed the wizard, take a look at the generated SQL statement (must use the dbms_lob.getlength) and the value in "number Format / Date" for this column.

  • Interactive report - column header in multiple lines

I use interactive report. My question to the expert/guru & rsquo; s is:-how to change the title of column in several rows with wrapping.

For example:-the title of my column is

Trained employee is? -& gt; (a row display)

    I want to display as

    Is used
Trained? -& gt; (Multi line display)

    Sagar

I got it to work by putting a few markup in report attributes > column attributes > section.

    FIRST
    LINE

The problem is that the markup of exports with the title through the upload function.

I also tried to do with java by setting the width small enough that encapsulates the header. However, java is ignored because soon the user interacts with the report (for example to add a filter).

Send a report as an e-mail requires an SMTP server. You must configure your instance settings to point to the SMTP server.

  • Apex 4.2 Batch Print or download the PDF version of the interactive report

I'm under Apex 4.2 base Oracle 12 c. I have an Apex interactive report that includes a column with an icon clickable pdf that if clicked, open this PDF in Adobe Reader and the end user can view and then send it to print to their local printer. It is necessary to allow users to select one or more lines in the IR report and send the document directly to print, to avoid having to do each print individually. What would be the best approach for this, it is possible via the Apex or should I do somehow in the database? End users are widely distributed geographically and have their own printers. Simply download all the pdf in a batch of the apex in the browser page, then the end user may use their own pc to multiple selection and send for printing. Any direction would be appreciated.

    Simple answer: No.

This is due to the HTML security and the concept of a Client-Server Architecture (which is also linked to security).  This has nothing to do with the APEX.

If it was possible, then whenever you have seen an advertisement on the web, advertising would 'print a coupon for you' using your personal printer.

(and coupons that they print are Web-based or a PDF file that you have open, and then click 'Print')

Now - if employees had a "shared printer" that they could print via centralized print Server ...

    That would be another story.

I created a region conditional interactive report that appears when the button is clicked.

Initially, in the State of the interactive area, I chose request = Expression1 and expression I gave the name of button, it didn't work.

Then I had an idea of community to set a branch on the same page by setting the request for the name of the button when the button is clicked.

The report is displayed conditionally the click of the button, but when try to download the report by clicking on download when the region itself is removed from the action menu.

Any guidance will be of great help.

  • Interactive report conditional forwarding using the link in the column?

    Hi all

I use APEX 4.2. We have an interactive report as an overview, we are the column standard link (with the pencil symbol) to go to a form of details.

Currently, we introduce the user permissions to our application. In accordance with these permissions, not all objects contained in the report can be changed by a user. I made a copy of the form that is set to read-only and eliminated all the buttons.

My question is: is it possible to redirect conditionally to the form (page 301) or reading one page (10301) according to the permissions of the user? And if I can change the symbol in the column link depending on the permissions this way? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I got it! With 2 hidden columns and a column containing the link and icon. First, I created a table where I store my frm pages - and unalterable (afp and arp) according to the dev_class. PERM is the colum where I get 1 (authorized) or null. This column contains the link and the icon later in my report. Then I built columns hidden in my opinion like this:

CASES WHERE the afp IS NOT NULL THEN
         -CASE perm WHEN = 1 THEN ' f? p ='|| v ('APP_ID') | ': 301 :'|| v ('SESSION'): ':YES:301:P301_DT_ID, P301_DT_ID_4_HIST, P301_DEV_CLASS, P301_DEV_SUBCLASS :'|| v.dt_id | ',' | v.dt_id | ',' | v.DC_ID | ',' | v.DSC_ID
         -ELSE ' f? p ='|| v ('APP_ID') | ': 10301 :'|| v ('SESSION'): ':YES:10301:P10301_DT_ID, P10301_DT_ID_4_HIST, P10301_DEV_CLASS, P10301_DEV_SUBCLASS :'|| v.dt_id | ',' | v.dt_id | ',' | v.DC_ID | ',' | v.DSC_ID
         CASE perm WHEN = 1 THEN ' f? p ='|| v ('APP_ID') |': ' | AFP: ': ' | v ('SESSION') |': YES :'|| AFP |': P' | AFP | "_DT_ID, P' | AFP | "_DT_ID_4_HIST, P' | AFP | "_DEV_CLASS, P' | AFP | ' _DEV_SUBCLASS :'|| v.dt_id | ',' | v.dt_id | ',' | v.DC_ID | ',' | v.DSC_ID
           ELSE ' f? p ='|| v ('APP_ID') |': ' | ARP: ': ' | v ('SESSION') |': YES :'|| ARP |': P' | ARP | "_DT_ID, P' | ARP | "_DT_ID_4_HIST, P' | ARP | "_DEV_CLASS, P' | ARP | ' _DEV_SUBCLASS :'|| v.dt_id | ',' | v.dt_id | ',' | v.DC_ID | ',' | v.DSC_ID
         END
       ANOTHER NULL
      END show_link
CASES WHERE the afp IS NOT NULL THEN
         CASE perm WHEN = 1 THEN ' menu/pencil2_16x16.gif.
            ELSE 'calmag.gif '.
         END
       "1px_trans.gif" - NOTHING ELSE
      END show_icon

To the link column, I added the following HTML Expression:

  • Interactive report Question (sort of)

This has probably been concave, but I have not found how to ask the question to find the answer, so I apologize in advance.

Running APEX 4.2.3 I need do the following:

I need to be able to send an email to all registrants in a filtered interactive report, with one of the interactive report fields e-mail address.  So I imagine something like this:

1 run an interactive report and it returns 1000 rows.

    2. I filter the report so that the subset resulting contains 30 rows.

    3. I click on a button that says Compose Message

    4. a box perhaps (a modal window?) to allow the body of the message type.

    5. click a button to send a Message

6 to run a PL/SQL procedure cycles to each line of the EIS filtered to get the email address.  (This IS THE PART that I KNOW not HOW to DO it)

    7. use the same PL/SQL procedure from step 6 to send the e-mail message.

I understand how do anything but striking since the interactive report filtered e-mail addresses.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Bob

Now look at the process... You need build the e-mail process, but the query NOW respect filtering done on the report.  I added a function to your workspace that you want to download where you want to develop this...

This function determines the ACTIVE query for the report, binds with the values bind variables and returns the query, where I add a selection to the e-mail address to select it and build an array of values to loop through...

  • Is possible to save the user who uses the download action in an interactive report.

    Hello

In my application I want to save that downloads information from the interactive reports in any format, is this possible?

    Concerning

    Hi Eva,

The event would be onClick of one of the download buttons (either CSV, HTML, PDF). Al of these download buttons have an id that starts with 'apexir_dl_' but including the suffix of ASD file extention (so the Download CSV link would be "apexir_dl_CSV").

The PL/SQL procedure for the actual record is accurately described in the link Tony posted.

  • Add buttons in the download area (interactive report)

    Hi all

Is it possible to add more buttons to download region interactive report, such as PDF 1, PDF 2 ...?

I used OC4J and FOP (print server) to download the PDF document to test, but it is so limited. When I use column break and export it in PDF format, instead of to see a break, the PDF file displays a regular report.

Therefore, I think the best idea is to create two buttons and link to another page and do what I want, like PLPDF.

    Hi Eric,.

a nice way to do it is to use the "IR customs action Menu" plugin (http://apex-plugin.com/oracle-apex-plugins/dynamic-action-plugin/ir-actions-menu-item_171.html), you can add the extra menu in the menu actions in your report HERE.
