  I am working currently on HYPERION Interactive Reporting (Workspace verion = 9.2.1.0.0.637) and this is the problem that I encounter on the portal.

  Please note that the features used to work well until las week.

  I tried to solve this problem with my team of system for more than 10 days, but so far without success.

  I hope someone in this forum can help me.

  When I try to start a task manually in " " "Tools/calendar/manage events ', nothing's going on at the scheduled time. .

  You can get successfully using studio 121 to 123, but it cannot be recommended.

  But backward compatibility should be possible or supported either 123 Studios with 121 IR

  Trying to install interactive of the Enterprise Performance Management suite version Reporting 11.1.2.4.0, downloading programs Client of EMP and the EPM System Release file1 system installation, File2 and File3 File4 on this download Hyperion Foundation Services downloads page as well as part 7 and Oracle HTTP Server since this Oracle Hyperion Interactive Reporting downloads page. I extracted them all in the same folder and when I go to install the components of interactive reporting is grayed out and I get the following errors:

  EPMINS-01047: the Assembly biplus_core_services is missing. The Assembly is needed to install a selected component.

  Status: EPMINS-01016: impossible to install the selected component. Click help to see the possible reasons.

  I was wondering what I am missing in my downloads? What download includes the bi_plus_core_services Assembly?

  Part 4 should be biplus_core_services

  I installed Hyperion Foundation Services 11.1.1.1.0 and IR 11.1.1.1.0
  
  I'm trying to access IR through the workspace
  
  I could see the procedure as file-> new-> Document_ > document interactive report.
  
  Then, I chose a .oce file to establish the connection. but I'm not able to progress to the next window.
  
  After selecting the file .oce a new pop up is to filled. Then it closes automatically in a fraction of a second...
  
  I don't know what the problem is.

  Hi GATHATHARAN,

  I think that webclient is not installed on your machine. In fact it should settle automatically from the server. If this isn't the case, you can install it manually. In the location of your Hyperion C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\workspace\InstallableApps\zeroadmin\component\Insight server, you must run the setupie.bat file and install it.

  If you want to install the webclient service in another computer, then copy the folder zeroadmin on the desired machine and you can install it.

  Once the installation is successful, you will be able to progress.

  To create the ECAS, you first have to decide whether to use an ODBC connection or ike Client.Then Oracle create using the Interactive Studio Reporting of the OCÉ customer. Then check if the BQY works with this OCE connection.

  After that you need to publish (import) in the workspace. Also, in the workspace, you must make entries of data (DAS entries) that will allow to use the drivers to connect to the database of the ECO.

  Then, you must publish the BQY and associate it with the ECO.

  I worked at the customer's location for financial reporting using Hyperion Financial Reporting (version 11.1.1.3). My client now needs dashboards for top-management of users. I did not see all the features of the financial reports that can allow me to create dashboards. Therefore, I'm trying to fix on the analysis Web or interactive reporting to accomplish the dashboard reports for the client. Can someone let me know which is a better tool to create dashboards? Are there advantages and limits of one over the other?

  OBIEE has reporting and dashboard features and is the main tool now pushed by Oracle, while IR and WA are the older products acquired through the acquisition of Hyperion, but are not actively enhanced with new features.

  OBIEE 11 g connect to essbase and there are lots of interactive features, some similar to WA and other more advanced.

  The only thing to pay attention is to have an overall plan for the use of data sources and making sure that you have consistent definitions of baptisms and data (or better yet a kind of Master Data management tool/process).

  We are facing a problem in the studio of Hyperion Financial Reporting while trying to connect to the Essbase database. When I gave the essbase cube, studio details is just off the hook and does not. I am able to select the application as the Essbase Server database.
  Give you a brief idea that Server1 holds Essbase, EAS, and Server2 Shared Services, HFR(including Studio), Integration Services. We opened the port 1423 between Server1 and Server2. We also opened 10080 (I don't know why), 32768, 32769 to interact with the application running on these ports. still no answer.
  
  Can someone please suggest me if I need to make some additional changes/configurations. or I do something wrong?

• How to get .oce to talk to DAS &amp; bring interactive reporting data?

  It is also a pretty basic question, I use Hyperion 9.3.1 and I Shared Services, workspace and interactive Studio reports running on our Windows Server 2003.
  
  My goal is to import a .bqy document that I created in Studio of Interactive Reporting in the workspace and be able to click on the button "Refresh" and see that it refreshes the data in the back-end Oracle 10 g database.
  
  I completed the following steps so far,
  
  1. I created a DSN. This DSN named 'Oracle 10 g Data Source', when I clicked on the button "Test connection", he was properly executed.
  
  2. I created a new entry of the data source in the DAS service. If I double click on the newly created data source entry, the screen displays the following details.
  
  Type of connectivity = Oracle Net
  Database of Type = Oracle
  Enter the name of the data source = Oracle 10 g Data Source
  Select the name of the data source (it is grayed out, nothing is selected)
  Server/folder (it is grayed, nothing entered)
  then, followed by a few default connection settings.
  
  3. I created a file of "Oracle 10" g Data Source.oce using the Studio Interactive Reporting. I saved the .oce file in

  4. I created a new constrProj_Oracle10gOCE.bqy when creating, I chose

After that I connect with host username/password, I created a data model and I see that he brings a set of data when I clicked on the "process" button I saved this document .bqy.
  
  5.
  I imported the Oracle 10 g Data Source.oce and constrProj_Oracle10gOCE.bqy in the workspace under a folder called
  MYBI/test/root
  
  6. I right click on the constrProj_Oracle10gOCE.bqy document and chose "open." He opened with the results section highlighted on the left side and data showing on the right. However, when I clicked the "Refresh" button, I get a message box with a red X. It is said:
  
  A Reporting Service interactive error -.
  Unable to acquire the requested service.

  I suppose that the data I see in this constrProj_Oracle10gOCE.bqy was just the cached data that has been brought to the time where I hit the button to deal with this .bqy when it was first created in the Studio, and that he has never established any connection through the DAS service for the backend.

  You can change the TNS entry for the source of ODBC data on the server without ill effect is because it's redundant in your situation :-) You never didn't it because you did not in place of the ECO to use an ODBC data source in the first place.

  do not forget that the DAS data sources are not the same as ODBC data sources. You only need an ODBC data source on your server if your OCÉ uses one. In any case, the DAS data source name should always match the text entered in the field host name to ECO.

  Glad to hear the bqy document now refreshes needed.

  I'm new to Hyperion and I'm trying to set up a test field for only the interactive report. I just finished installing the list items below on a Linux server. I'm trying to set up a data source to a database on this server page Performance Workspace management system, but only these types are available "Essbase, financial management, planning, SAPBW and MSOLAP. I have not install these components and the database is on a Linux server. Is there something else I need to install to get access to this database, or I'm trying to set up in the wrong place. I read a lot of literature, but it is is not clear.

  EMP 11 should be able to provide IR content to users via HTML - client Workspace zero footprint.

  If you want to use the interactive Web Client you need to install one that is only available through the menu bar superior within the workspace.

  Furthermore, the person who is the administrator should the interactive desktop Studio Reporting client so that the OCE can be created.

• difference between Interactive Reporting (IR) and the reports of Production (PR)

  Could someone tell me the difference between IR and PR Version 9.3.1 or later if its important. My impression is that IR is used for ad hoc reporting, and PR is used for the production of regular reports. I believe you can also create reports that production of IR also, so I don't see where is the difference.

  Hi Tom,

  PR or HYPERION SQR PRODUCTION REPORTING focus produces high quality reporting mass. The reports are designed and then demand by admins (or report developers), end users are generally not involved.

  IR or creation of INTERACTIVE REPORTING, HYPERION focuses on ad-hoc data analysis. IR can be put in place to enable end users to modify queries for the purpose of analysis and output then reports or dashboards.
