  Hello

  I've created an interactive report.  I would like to run a PL/SQL based on a click of button available by registration type.  For example, the report includes ADDRESS and CLIENT_ID columns.  When the user clicks on the button in the document, using PL/SQL, I want to update/insert into another table with the details available in the present recording as above 2 mentioned columns.  How can I achieve this?  Help, please.

  Here's my problem: I created a table that contains a field COMMENT varchar2 (4000) and using APEX 4.1 I built an interactive report on it.
  
  Users can fill the COMMENT field with phrases on different lines, ex:
  "It is the first line.
  This is the second line
  
  It comes to the third line.
  
  This is handled correctly in the FORM, where I set the COMMENT as "Text area", but in the REPORT field, I wasn't able to put it in a way that allows to see whit transport returns: content is displayed on a single line only: "it's the first linethis is the second linethis is the third line.
  I tried and put all the possible field types, but I didn't find any ways to display the content exactly as it is (with some carriage returns).
  Of course, I can't use HTML
  Since I can't ask users to numbers it when their text is inserted.
  
  Could anyone suggest me how to get to this result? Need to use the interactive report because the search/filter tool is essential.

  Assuming you want to keep the link change, it works for me.

  Create a dynamic action:
  event: after refresh
  selection type: region
  Region: [select the ir region]

  Action: Run JavaScript code
  Fires when the result of the event is: true

  It is not a supported way to change the display interactive report mode.  With the device connected by Anthony internally, we will consider adding this because part of apex_ir or a link to the future.

  Our Apex bodies are backed up on a weekly basis. I have a subscription to an interactive report that works very well. I only get it from the production instance AND all instances of backup. I have not found a way to condition the subscription based on which instance it runs in. I can do in the report, but he always sends me a mail with a NULL value report.

• paging on interactive report - how to move on my layout

  well, I work with the basic interactive report, no settings. My final user does not seem to worry much horizontal scrolling, although it goes against my standards of web dev personal to do without important need. But with the models as they are, the paging for Recordset next/previous is WAAAY more to the right. I find it annoying, and in the interest of my user, I want to left-align it. I looked on Google, did a search in this forum and checked the docs of the APEX, not much leaping out of me. I think I can change a div on some model class, not having is not an easy, concluding that period.

• Interactive report - how to set the default columns displayed

  Env: APEX 4.1
  
  For example, at the beginning, I created the reprot source as select c1, c2, c3 from t; later, I added c4. But I was unable to figure out how to do c1, c2, c3, c4 become the columns displayed default. I always have to click on Action-> select columns, and then move the C4 "do not display" to "report view". Any clue?

  After choosing the columns (and the other changes you want)

  go to Actions > save the report > save as default report > primary, click [apply]

  I am on 4.1.1.00.23 and simply exercised these steps successfully with one of my IR

  If this does not work, I don't know what else to say. (If you are not connected to the Application Builder, you don't not even the default save option)

• How to add the link change in the detail view of the interactive report?

  I use APEX 5.0 on 11g XE.

  I have an interactive report displaying multiple records with a column of link which is one of to an edition for the registration page. All the standard stuff 'wizard generated. I have also created a layout of the detail view. It all works very well.

  However. I want IR to show detail discovers all the time and hide all Toolbar IR. How can I show the link change in the detail for each record view?

  Y at - it an easy way to do this by adding a column reference (something like: #LINKCOLUMN #?) or do I need to create it manually with an < a href... > tag. I guess that this method would require me to generate a checksum with apex_util.prepare_url?

  You are mixing HTML/model and SQL syntax. #CONTACT_ID # does not substitute for CONTACT_ID value in the query. The column value should be included in the URL before calculating the checksum:

  ...
  

  Note that substitution integrated always strings need to be referenced as bind variables in SQL to avoid unnecessary analysis.

  There is no declarative support for generating links conditionally to line level in interactive reports (or indeed in the standard reports). Set the IR link column property to exclude the link columnand generate the link in the request in the original report. Set the Type of display attribute for the column Edit to report Standard column.

  You can do this with the help of dynamic action. You need to get the value of the column of a line click in IR (using jQuery) and set the value to the elements which, in turn, can be used as a filter to other reports on the same page.
