interface with App World

Hello

I have an application (the application name: App Test) that contains multiple cod files.

In one of the code files (for example, a.cod), there is a screen with a button. When the user clicks this button, he calls App world and leads to another application (application name: App 2) App World.

There is a good example in this regard:

But, when I tried this example, the ContentID is always null (or empty), as well as the call for App World has failed.

Can anyone help? I use the JDE 4.3.0.

Thank you

just tried the content id is the id of 4 digits App World.

as the xxxx:

  • Swipping effect as app world application

    Hello..

I want to show my screen effect swipping left-right as the home screen in torch with app world. Any API for this?

    Anyone got the idea?

    Thank you.

The only way I know to achieve this is to have two different screens in a HorizontalFieldManager, make sure that both are limited by the width to 1 width of the device, then use horizontal scrolling (setHorizontalScroll()) to move the scroll position in the HorizontalFieldManager in some kind of loop timer.

I'm sure there are other ways, but that's what I would try first.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry App World

I have a TORCH (software 6.0 Bundle 3049) with App World installed 3.0.0.73 from Blackberry Desktop Software.  I have download the updates and App World indicates that a new version is available 3.1.2.32, I download the new version and App World Spear is no longer.  In other words, I click on the world icon, and nothing happens.  I'm going to BB Desktop Software, delete App World, re - start the phone and re - install the 3.0.0.73 and functions of the App World.  In other words, until the App World informs me that a new version is available for the update and I can choose 'Update' or 'Close' and the cycle repeats.  I have 18 months left on my contract with Bell Mobility and I was kind of hoping that BB would fix it so I won't be too miserable until I can update an iPhone.

I talked to Bell Mobility and that they me related to BlackBerry (RIM). The technical expert has helped me greatly.  I downloaded the software, saved my camera and reloaded the software bundle.  I won't go into details, it is best done with the advice of an expert.  Then, call your provider.

But App World works perfectly now. So, all well that ends well.  I don't know if I will "jump" to an another unti now that my BB Torch works well again.

    FYI, the assistance was FREE!

  • Obligation of Notification of App World Air time use

To correctly formulate demand with App World Blackberry, if the application will eventually generate fresh air to the user when he or she uses, you must put a notification display in the application so that they don't be blinded.

The management of THAT RIM publishes, you can code something hard like a labelfield on the opening screen or (much better), you can provide a way for the user to prevent the notification continue to appear once they probably read it once.

Has anyone code an app that has displayed a warning - perhaps via a dialog box - when the application is started, but can be put in sleep for good by the user?

If so, could you give an example of how it works?

    Thank you

You want to create an implementation of PopupScreen that includes the caveat, an "OK" button and a "do not display this message" check box.

If the user selects the checkbox "do not display this message", you'll want to set this parameter in the persisted data store.

The implementation of the PopupScreen is quite simple. You will need to extend this class, add a check box, a button and a text box, a manager of vertical field.

For general purposes, I sugget that you develop your own implementation of 'app properties' of PersistentDataStore. You'll want to be able to save or retrieve name/value pairs, like "dontAsk'true '. We persist a hash table for that object.

There is a tutorial on persistence here:

  • Missing the download button for my application on request BB 10 Dev Alpha App World

I created a new version of my 'Speech Timer more' application to make it compatible with BB10 Dev Alpha. It has been approved and is now available on the App World for Playbook and BB 10 Dev Alpha. I could download on Playbook. But there is no download button for my application on BB 10 Dev Alpha App World.

Have someone has the same problem? It's a problem with the app from App World, the App World platform or my package?

    Kind regards

    Sergey

    Hi Sergey,

There is a known issue with App World now prevents application installations. This should be resolved in a future release.

  • Updates the app world VS. your own updates

    Hi all

We are preparing to release our application.

My question is, most of you use App World to distribute and update your applications or you roll your own?

My other question is, all blackberry models come with App world installed? App world will settle on the software updates for the older models?

We are trying to determine if we need to create our own update process or piggy back the worlds of the app.

    Thanks in advance

App World pushing updates, but the timing of these updates is different and all users do not receive at the same time (I guess for reasons of scalability and efficiency).

You use a credit for each update that you push so if you want to push your own updates via a mechanism of "Check for updates", you can, but it's perhaps easier to push in the App World and let the App World to warn the user.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM is not available in APP world.

    Hello

My BBM has disappeared from the BB app world, even if I type Blackberry Messenger in the search engine of the app world it shows a few apps from third party bt not the BBM real application itself...

I currently have 6.2.0.56 BBM version and therefore cannot be updated to BBM 7...

A few weeks ago, BBM is available for download on App world bt, it was still 6.2.0.56 version not BBM 7. .and BBM 7 released by RIM in December. Now its gone compleletly.

I will stay in India... If BBM 7 not made available to the Indian BB users by RIM? and when it will be available?

Or there are some issues with App world?

And also done BB travel works in India coz I know for cards is BB n traffic BB does not.

    Thank you.

The reason is that carriers in India have not agreed to support the voice feature of BBM again.

You should complain to your mobile service providers.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not connect on App World

I'm on a corporate network. That may be the reason why I'm having a problem.  I registered with a Blackberry ID and when I try to log in I get the error message: "Blackberry App World is had problems connecting to the server Blackberry App World.". Check your network connections, and then try again. "I remember something about a possible conflict that may arise with App World and the new OS 6.0 on a corporate network.  All available patches without having to deal with my IT Department.?

    Thank you!!

Yes. Start with your wireless service provider... they are responsible for all the formal support to their end-users. If they can't solve it, they have the ability to escalate cases RIM for extra support without extra charge. You have no free method otherwise received this improved rim support.

    Good luck!

  • Problem of Smartphones blackBerry App World on PC

I fought with App World for months since I had to replace my Storm with a curve... I get the message "app is not available...". "that was never a problem on my Storm.  Then I tried to connect to App World on my computer which made me connect my curve and do a verification system, then I accepted the terms and Conditions, and finally I had to link it with a paypal account.  I went through the process and set up, but when she returned the site of App World it remained on the payment information page.  It will not continue after that point and all I can do is click on the "Pay with PayPal" button not telling me that «this prior approval has already been processed...» "Whenever I navigate off the page of payment information that I must begin the entire process signature again.  Like I said, App World is not an option on my phone, so any ideas what I need to do?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Here are a few kilobytes that may be useful:

    • KB25521"" is not available for download on BlackBerry App World "appears when you try to download an application from BlackBerry App World "
    • KB24200 Screen loops when BlackBerry ID or PayPal authentication is verified in BlackBerry App World 2.0
    • KB20031"BlackBerry AppWorld has problems connecting to the server BlackBerry AppWorld. "Check your network connections, and then try again" appears at the start of BlackBerry App World

There could be more... but it's a start. You should also check with your wireless service provider and make sure your AppWorld/BBID has been fully migrated over your new device... If they have not completed the migration of backend, which could cause problems.

The 'last resort' is to find the email you received initially want you AppWorld/BBID. That is a link to use to remove your BBID account. Then you create a new account BBID, using exactly the same powers... that connects the new account with all previous purchases and history. If those who are not important, then by using the same credentials is not necessary... just create a whole new BBID and start over.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone App World frozen

    Greetings!

I have problems with App World.  I have two applications that show "Ready to install", but they do not install.  I hone app that shows "install...". "but it has been like that for three days and nothing seems to happen.

I tried to remove and reinstall App World itself but which has not changed anything.

    Suggestions?

It's sad to say, it is still frozen. Thanks for the welcome. And, as Occam's razor, I wouldn't turn down multiplied miracles.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry App World account

When I log on another phone, it asks if I would like to than this device to be the new device to download apps on. Wouldn't be baad click 'Yes' and if I clicked 'Yes', I'd be able to switch to another account, but keep everything I downloaded on my device?

    Sounds a bit confused.

But here's the thing, I'd like to purschase the app BeBuzz and my sister does. We do not want to buy the same app twice. I know its only $6, but I would still like to save as much money as I can. Anyway, if I buy on my device, then identify yourself as myself on HIS device and 'reinstall' on his device, he would remove after that I have change account?

I hope someone understands what I'm asking. If necessary, I'll try to rephrase more clearly.

Of course you can. With App World 2.0, you can download the application and multiple devices. This is so you don't have to buy the app even if you switch to another device. And for the book to play as well.

  • Quit an App World app with new keys

Hello, I have an application on App World. I intend to change my signature keys (please don't ask why). I have two questions about this.

When I download a new version of my app in App World with new signature keys.

-Will the new application will replace the application in the device users. (The old version of Wil erased)

-Persistentstore and store objects will remain from the previous version. (I can continue using the registered user data.)

    Thank you

    Onur

You can change the keys having no impact on BlackBerry OS 7.1 and lower code signing.

There are problems if you change the keys used to sign applications BlackBerry PlayBook and BlackBerry 10.

  • Person to contact with questions about the presentation of the app world

If I have a question about the app that I submitted, anyone knows how do I contact someone about this? I can't find anything on the site and respond to notification emails gets me nowhere.

    Hey miss breeder,.

that will be tough. If you browse the App World his hell out there because of the new development forums and people have a lot of problems with it. I've read people were emailing RIM all week and no responses were received. But if you post a question here MShom (one of the moderators) usually responds in a timely. The support email is [email protected] I believe. Good luck!
