Obligation of Notification of App World Air time use

To correctly formulate demand with App World Blackberry, if the application will eventually generate fresh air to the user when he or she uses, you must put a notification display in the application so that they don't be blinded.

The management of THAT RIM publishes, you can code something hard like a labelfield on the opening screen or (much better), you can provide a way for the user to prevent the notification continue to appear once they probably read it once.

Has anyone code an app that has displayed a warning - perhaps via a dialog box - when the application is started, but can be put in sleep for good by the user?

If so, could you give an example of how it works?

Thank you

You want to create an implementation of PopupScreen that includes the caveat, an "OK" button and a "do not display this message" check box.

If the user selects the checkbox "do not display this message", you'll want to set this parameter in the persisted data store.

The implementation of the PopupScreen is quite simple. You will need to extend this class, add a check box, a button and a text box, a manager of vertical field.

For general purposes, I sugget that you develop your own implementation of 'app properties' of PersistentDataStore. You'll want to be able to save or retrieve name/value pairs, like "dontAsk'true '. We persist a hash table for that object.

There is a tutorial on persistence here:

HII everybody... I have a very strange problem. I use os 7.1, 9320 bb curve. Last night I got to level my app world & after upgrading my blackberry protect has also been upgraded. Now the problem is that when I go on my account, its does not all the applications installed on my phone. A little, the apps are in my phone but the sound does not appear. I want to improve my bbm but its doesn't come not here. What to do?

    Hi hunny89

I can understand the problem you are having, but App World update will not update BlackBerry Protect unless we do. So for your first problem that you are unable to see your apps to install on ' My World ' you can try this:

On your device > Open App World > go to MY world >

    • Hold down the ALT key and type the RST
    • Close App World
    • Then perform a battery pull reboot as this device while is powered on remove waiting battery for a min. and then reinsert it wait until the device take a long restart your computer.

KB24714 : how to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World.

Now open App World > go to My World > see if your installed applications appear.

Regarding your second issue updated BBM, please hold, I see you mentioned your carrier like Airtel so if you are of the India then now BBM7 is not officially released for the India, so no need to update unless you get the notification from app world for this update.

If anyone can help? A new update of the BB App World was offered in December 2011, which I updated too, and ever since then I have not been able to connect to App World... The following error message "must an update of the BB identity would u like 2 install now then when I click Yes, it says Server BB contacts later he told u installation of identity BB could not please try again more later (80003)"... " My ISP can not help and could not care! They say they expect on BB and this isn't just my camera as I "BOLD" and my daughter has a curve... I've deleted App World 5 times and re-installed again that it does not work... Am rather fed up with BB...

If you get the error 80003, there are three corrections suggested to the user:

    1. follow these instructions:
First delete AppWorld on your Blackberry, (Options > Advanced > Applications)
Then copy the entire address below and paste it into your BlackBerry browser or click on it from this page of your BlackBerry forum.
    http://Santo.Asia/repository/BB-file/BlackBerryAppWorld.3.0.1.29.OS5/appworld.jad
    or:
    For OS7 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2196
    For OS6 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2197

    For OS5 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2198

    2. make sure that you connect to AppWorld on a WiFi connection. It has worked for some.

    3. on Os5 BlackBerrys, go to Options, Advanced Options, TCP/IP. Select the AFN which is the first area. Under this
Next type Internet APN. Save it and it will work.
On the BlackBerry OS6 and 7, go to Options > device, down advanced system settings. Go to TCP IP. Select the first box and next to the AFN of type 'Internet '. Your BlackBerry ID will be downloaded. It will ask you to reboot your device, do, and if you then it in your App World > MyWorld, it invites you to a blue screen, where you need to connect.

    Good luck.

  • Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry to Blackberry App World Server connection

I got a new Storm2 9550 and some of my applications didn't work properly when transferred from my Storm 9530. Among them Blackberry App world gives me the error:

BlackBerry App World is having problems connecting to the Blackberry App World Server. Check your network connections, and then try again.

I downloaded and reinstalled app world several times that I can count to no effect. I rebooted my phone, returned my service books and re-entered my THS several times, and it's not helping.

Help, please. I need to reinstall some of the apps I got go to app world and I can't do it until the app world features.

In fact, I understood the question myself. Apparently when it is attached to the WIFI, Blackberry App World does not want to connect. When WIFI is off (or out of range) and I use Verizon EVDO network, App World works fine. The RIM should be looking at why App World will not work on a WIFI connection.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry App World Download Icon

I downloaded the upgrade for Salesforce Mobile on my BlackBerry Storm.  I had to delete some older applications, so the upgrade would fit and should have attempted the upgrade of App World several times.  I now have an icon on the top of the home page which is a black circle with a white border and a white arrow pointing down, with a red star over the arrow.  There is the number "2" beside him.

I think that it is a download of the App World in progress icon, but I have never seen this.  What is and, more importantly, how clear it?  Thank you!

Go to the message folder and you will see these 2 points. You can just delete it fom.

  • Point different information on App World, then in the settings

  • Is it possible to request Blackberry App World Store?

Hi, expert, we would love to have a few links for applications that can be found in the Blackberry App World, so we would like to know if there are ways (using HTTP) to query the applications listed on the web site of Blackberry App World. Like using an application ID, we get the following:

    1 icon

    2. the seller

    3. name of the application

    4. application version.

We want to display this information to our web site and a link to the app world. If the user clicks on the link, it would redirect to BlackBerry App World.

BB App World online store uses pages like this

    http://appworld.BlackBerry.com/WebStore/content/xxxx

    Where XXX is the appId

I am not an HTML expert, but I guess that you can analyze the content of the page and info on the icon, description, price, provider etc.

  • Open App World from within the application of AIR bypassing the browser opens a blank window?

    Hi all

My question, as you can see in the title of this post is, you can open the App world app of in an AIR application without using navigateToUrl, which allows the browser to open first with an empty window.  In my application, I have now a button that opens the App World my app page so that users can post comments, or buy the version complete, but it seems a bit slopply how it works when you use navigateToUrl.  Is there another method for opening the app in App World?

    Thank you

    Use navigateToUrl (new URLRequest ("appworld://content/ [app_id_here]"));

  • BlackBerry App World - Notification of update Application

    Hi all

The App World Application warns the user when there are updates of downloaded applications through it. I wanted to know if the application developer needs to do anything to do so, or it is the App World app itself? Do I need to have permissions or stuff added during the creation of the entire application while the application is downloading?

Any information on this will be really very useful.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Basilio J V Souza

Nothing for the developers to make.  Everything you do is provide App World with a new version of your application (i.e. the new cod etc), and when it is approved, your users will be warned.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry App World 4.0.0.63 on Bold 9780 OS 6.0.0 upgrade Notification

    Hello

I am one of those users who had recently re - install Blackberry App World 4.0.0.55 as my app icon disappeared from the main screen with the newer versions. Am I correct to assume that the upgrade to 4.0.0.63 will my icon disappear again?

    Thank you

You are wrong to assume that.

It may or may not happen.

If you upgrade and AW disappears, it's pretty easy to installer.55

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot install the blackberry app world

I had the old version of the app world. Like others in this forum, I got a message that there is a new version available.  Tried to update but got the same messages to invalid connection, tried to reset my password but got no connection, etc. Message.

So I tried to come here to update I read in another forum that this is what I had to do.  So I create an account and when I connected my Curve 8310 on my computer and enter my device password, I get a notification that I need to upgrade to the new version of the app world.

I click the buttons needed for the update of the synchronization. But when the warning on the screen icon says "sync, unplug your appliance or leave this website" nothing happens, the page eventually times out and I am disconnected. This product whenever I try to update app world.

So, I decided to uninstall the app via Blackberry Desktop Manager world.  No problem, but try to install the latest version via appworld.blackberry.com, is the same thing, he says: it's sync but it expires and no word of the app is installed.  Even after the traction battery.

    Hello AbeFroman,

Have you tried going directly to the BlackBerry with your BlackBerry appworld page yet? I've always found it's the easiest way. The link is: http://www.blackberry.com/appworld/download

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Z10 ID and app world on Z10

Whenever I click on id blackberry I get the following message: unable to connect to the blackberry server id. Please try again. (50506)

Also when I try and download anything from the app world I get: an error has occurred processing your request.

Any ideas on what is wrong? The two worked until a week ago.

I had a problem with this on both phones Z10. We have a number of these phones. The first thing to check is to make sure of the time and the time zone is set correctly. The next thing to do is to try a battery pull to do a complete reset of the phone.

If the problem persists, the next step that I took was to re - install the OS, re - register the phone with Blackberry ID and then restore from the backup. After that I did the re-install, the phone was correct.
