Internet access icon is yelow

I have internet access, but the icon of internet access in the bottom right of the screen shows a drawing similar to the yellow sun above the bars.  I can't ignore this?

Looks like something does not work correctly.  You could make a right-click on the icon and click on "solve problems".

  • Windows 7 network system tray icon displays "Internet access" when there is none

I recently had this episodic and deeply frustrating problem with a laptop. Sometimes the internet works, other times not, even if Windows reports that it has access to the internet.   I was wondering if there could be a firewall issue, tried to remove and reinstall the driver of NIC in addition to other things but the problem kept reappearing.  I just managed to find the answer so I hope this will be useful for someone else who feels the same.

The problem is caused by the Apple Hello service installed by Adobe Creative Suite CS3. It's pretty old now, but I installed it recently because I needed to use one of the applications.    The Bonjour service adds the default gateway 0.0.0.0 and therefore stops the internet access.

The problem and the solution is given here:
    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/Bonjour-Windows-CS3-CS4.html

This site is also very useful:

The only thing I would add is to run the CLI window with administrative rights so that the commands to run (type "cmd" in the start menu > search and then right-click on cmd.exe to run with admin rights).

  • Office Pavilion Elite e9220y: name of the Internet access when you hover over said tskbr network 5. is that HP name or co cable. ?

    Hello

I have a desktop Pavilion Elite e9220y Home Premium; Win 7; 64-bit computer.

I'm wired; but have wireless for other things (Kindle, etc..)

When I open internet access in the bar of tasks and under the "wireless network connection", I see MY connection (and the name I gave my connection) and 5 solid green bars (no problem).

Above this section, there is an article with a picture of a House (provided by HP, I'm sure), and he says:

    ' Currently logged on:

and just below it says: (to the right of the photo of the House) network 5

and just below it says: internet access

That's all it lists the wireless network connection with my name and the names of other connections in the district.

    My question:

    the name "network 5"?

HP says it is my cable provider; my cable provider says it's at HP.

    This can be changed?

    Thank you!

    Hello Denise,.

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I understand that you have a problem with wireless networks.

Windows will think it's in a new network whenever it detects a new router. If you have changed your router or the router configuration. Windows creates a new network. But do not worry.

If you don't want the name of the connection to be listed under active connection, follow the steps.

    (1) open the "Control Panel".

    (2) select and open "network and sharing Center."

    (3) click on the ' icon "(une icône de la maison pour moi) less 'show your active networks'.". " This will open the dialogue "set network properties." Here, you can rename a network connection or a change as the network connection icon.

    4) click on "Merge or delete network locations" to view the list of network connections that are stored. You can merge or remove connections

Let me know if it helps.

    Have a great day!

  • No local/internet access

I have a NX700 with a built-in wireless function. When I go through the Setup program tries to connect to the internet, he noted only that the wireless connection was working, and internet access and local access failed. Also, if I try to use a wired connection - it's the same thing: it acknowledges the wired connection, but the local access and access to the internet that these two don't. It is not my router because other devices work. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with care, and they think that I must return to my tv.

I adjusted the security settings on the router, and it does not help. If anyone has suggestions on what to do, it would be greatly appreciated, because the back tv will be a chore.

    Thank you!

I have the KDL40 - NX711 Wifi Tv and I have experienced the same problem when I changed my router. I am owner of a Netgear WNDR3700 and I had to exchange it because it was defective. The new router is exactly the same, and the TV can detect the SSID broadcast. When I entered my passode, TV would set up and come back with the message that Internet OK, has no Local access and Internet failed. It took several calls to Sony (who have no idea), Netgear and Comcast to realize that nobody could help. Eventually, I realized that I had to do a manual install and provide my TV with the primary IP address, subnet, default gateway and DNS address. I did not allow the proxy server at all. I was able to get this information through the control panel under Windows Vista. Click Network and sharing icon, under the wired home network click State view. Click the property box in the local area network box. The IP initially did not work, because it was already used by other wireless devices in the House. For example, I used 192.168.1 and TV it back foot. I logged on Netgear to see what devices were in use on which IP address, and I changed the last digit to a 192.168.8 (8), which was open. I hope this helps.

  • I installed in my laptop XP - SP3 PersonalFirewall of Privacyware and I have this problem: when restarting, always internet access isn't available (WiFi/LAN).

    network adapter AutoDetect fails

    Hello:

I installed in my laptop XP - SP3 PersonalFirewall of Privacyware and I have this problem: when restarting, always internet access isn't available (WiFi/LAN).
Using the command ipconfig, I found that these cards are not detected. (Although without wireless/LAN icons do not display the modem connection). Also, if I go into Device Manager, I see network cards. BUT if I select "research material changes", then the other adapters will appear (those of Privacyware) and internet connection is reset and it will work then.  I wonder why windows does not detect this kind of cards automatically when I start it.

This problem occurs only in my laptop - I installed the project Feederwatch on a laptop another XP and it worked, so Privacyware cannot provide a solution, since seems a very specific problem.

    Thanks for any idea!

    Seems that the solution was:

1 - Open Device manager and view the hidden devices.
    2. then go into not connectable & play devices and manually delete all the remainers network software & security uninstalled (process antivirus, firewall, monitor).
    3. several reboots were required in order to know if the garbage problem has been removed.

  • Connected but no internet access (E1200 with laptop Acer Win 7 x 64)

Whenever I come back from a stay in a motel, there are problems to be connected again to the House.  This time, I show that connected to the network wireless 2, but no. Internet access connection.  Yesterday, I figured it out and got things, but today it happened again and I don't get it.  See network properties properly, including appropriate security key.  When I ran Win 7 Network Diagnostics, he returned that I didn't have a valid IP address.  I have reset the router and even unplugged for a minute.  All this time, the ' currently logged on: "network in the sys bar icon showed the Summit he was trying to connect my network name to the internet (downstairs, the network showed as connected, probably by a router).  Another thing I did was to support IP services and disable and stop, then after restart it a few minutes.  Nothing.

But wait!  As I finished typing the last sentence, about an hour after I started the laptop, the first time, I opened center network & sharing once more and suddenly between the name of my computer and the Internet has shown the name of the network, instead of "no internet access."

So, what could be going on here?  (1) why should he take 50 minutes to make the connection?  (2) why do I have problems every time after the use of wireless network from a motel?  Thank you

Update: resolved for now.  I started using the safe mode with networking, which required the implementation of msconfig as F8 does not work.  Which required a repair of the system, and then restore it, and finally I was able to follow the instructions at http://forums.techguy.org/networking/950031-cant-get-valid-ip-address.html.  Solved.

  • IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity says no Internet access

My computer says that it has access to the internet but when I use a browser it does not work. Also Ipv4 and Ipv6 connectivity says no internet access, and at the launch of the troubleshooting, it indicates that the DNS server is not responding. So there are a lot of problems.

    Hello

    Internet works with IPv4.

I can't give a targeted response as you have not provided technical information on how you connect to the Internet and devices that are involveved.

    In general.

Check the Device Manager for the entry of valid card of the wire.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a Local Area Connection icon/entry, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Connect you to the menu of the router from a work computer and make sure DHCP is on, and it is configured to assign IPs which can cover the number of computers that are connected (a bit more will be even better).

Turn off the computer and the router, reset the router and the computer.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

It still does not work, try this too.

    Firewall software.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall Windows Firewall should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly, or uninstall it completely allowing the clean flow of traffic on the local network. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    Reset the network stacks .

Type Cmd in the search text box.

Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run a command as administrator prompt.  Allow the elevation.

Type netsh winsock reset at the command prompt and press the Enter key.

Do the same process to refresh the TCP/IP, just replace the command typed with.

    netsh int ip reset

    Restart the computer.

  • Network connection problem: «identify...» No Internet access.

I have problems to connect to internet on my desktop Gateway FX6831.  It worked fine one day, but I turned on my PC, the other for that icon connection read continuous «ID...» No Internet access. «When you view the network information window, the intermediary between the PC and the internet just reads «Identify...» "and shows an X between it and the icon 'Internet '.  It's hard, connected to a router that is connected to the modem.  My phone and laptop PC connect perfectly to the internet through the same router and the modem.  My PC has an Intel 82578DC Gigabit network adapter.

Some of the fixes I've tried without success:

-Download (via my laptop) and install the latest drivers from the gateway network adapter

    -Solve the problem via Windows

    -Reset my modem (several times)

-Hard wiring the PC directly to the modem

-Reset my IP address via the command ipconfig at the command prompt

I'm sure I tried other things too, but I can't think of them right now.  Help, please!

I had the same problem and it was my pc down for 3 days and the fix was simple. I think a virus/bad windows update has caused, but not sure. All you have to do is run a system restore to a date of probably about a week before it happened. Mine took place on 18/12/11 and I ran an update 16/12/11 is not working so I chose a previous restore point that was 10/12/11 and it fixed my problem "identify no access to the network. It is very important for situations like this to have System Restore enabled, so I'll give you a link to how to do if your cannot restore to a previous point it being disabled.

    in windows 7, select:
    start or windows logo
right click on computer and select Properties, low tab
upper left corner select "system protection".
then select Configure (it must be on the system protection tab if it isn't already)
and check the restore settings and previous versions of files, and then press on apply.

    hope this helps guys

  • LAN/Ethernet and wireless: can connect to networks, but shows "no Internet access.

My workplace has cable/Ethernet and Wi - Fi.  I'm working on a laptop, plug it into a dock where my ethernet cable is connected.  Lately, I've been the startup object and the network will connect automatically (by default to connect to the local network, not for the wireless) but I get the point of the triangle/yellow exclamation on my network icon and displays "no Internet access.  Even if I get this warning message /, in fact, I can access the internet, but I can't access resources online through a program installed (such as, to access to the / insertion of a photo online by word or update a SharePoint Outlook calendar).

In the past, I could connect wirelessly and work around this problem.  However, now my wireless connection does the same thing: it will connect, it displays the warning "no access Internet, I can access the internet, but not another program."

I ran the resolution of problems and it does not identify the problem.  I've updated drivers, disconnected and reconnected networks - nothing seems to work.  Any ideas?

Given that you encounter this work to your work network you really need to get your business COMPUTER Department to come and watch. As far as we know, there may be certain restrictions checked in your network permissions that must not checked. There is so much that can happen it is impossible to diagnose on an online forum.

  • My wireless connection says "no internet access.

    Original title: Network question

    Hello
I noticed a change in my system. My wireless connection says "no internet access. The other connection, presumably one wired, is OK.
I have no problem on internet and computer my son who is temporarily connected to the same router is also online.
But I wonder what can happen to change that, and what I can do about it. I noticed this when a little yellow exclamation point appears on the network icon in the systray /taskbar.

I spent a lot of time with the guidance of the internet, Cisco install CD, ipconfig and its switches, update drivers for the network adapters, uninstall the card network wireless and relocation, etc.. But the situation remains the same.

I will link to some images what I mean (hope it works).

  • How to disconnect a network unidentified without internet access?

My laptop running Windows 7 says I'm connected to a network not identified without internet access and allow me to connect to my wireless home connection, but there is no internet connection is.  The only way that I can use internet on my PC is if I connect my phone and use the internet tethering from there, (which sometimes is not recognized).

Please help on how to disconnect a network not identified!

    Hello

    You can't disconnect from it.

It's good because of the inability of the computer to connect to your network.

It detects that there is something there, but it can connect to it.

Assuming that it is wireless and the wireless router signal is strong, and it broadcasts its SSID (wireless network name).

    -------------------------

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

    ------------------

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

Make sure that if there are teas from Wireless Utility of seller does not work with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

Assuming you are using Windows 7, try the following.

Click on the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off" and remove the check mark next to Internet Explorer 9 click Yes and then OK and then when done, restart the computer.

When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off" and re-enter the checkmark next to Internet Explorer 9.  Click Yes and then OK, and when it has finished installing, restart the computer again.
