When I travel outside my primary area I can get phone calls but cannot get internet services. It goes from the EDGE to the GSM and will not provide internet even though I'm in a big city like New Orleans. What can I do to solve my problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry "BOLD" and Tmobile Service

I use Blackberry "BOLD" T-Mobile service.  I have the BES data package which includes BIS.  My email Enterprise BES, browser, sync with Exchange server, contacts, calendar, everything works.

Except that... my BIS email setup.  I tried BB device logging to create email. Email Setup Wizard, select "I want to create or add an email address" I get error - we apologize there was an error while trying to access the service.

I also tried logging on my T-Mobile account and click on the web link: e-mail setting blackberry; to create ([email protected]) whenever I click on the link create e-mail blackberry in my T-Mobile account, it gives me an error: we're sorry, there was an error while trying to access the service.

I called T-Mobile repeatedly and the lame excuse they use is: this device is not supported. I said T-Mobile uses the Blackberry 8220 flip phone with using the same OS 4.6, Javalin BB, and BB 8900 use the same service books.  When I call the Blackberry technical support... they spend on the male for T-Mobile.

Is anyone out there using BB Bold with service from T-Mobile with BES/BIS and their professional and personal internet e-mail: works on the "BOLD" BB.  Ideas, thoughts, suggestions and help will be very appreciated.

I hope that someone will be able to solve this problem!

Thanks to JSanders and Urumilton to help.  The matter is now resolved.

That's what I did.  I took a job my friend T-Mobile 8220, inserted my sim card, connected on T-Mobile and changed the code PIN and IMEI numbers. Blackberry Internet e-mail configuration.  Then return the SIM from my phone is connected to the Tmo Blackberry "BOLD" account and changed the code PIN and IMEI numbers.  Now everything including internet blackberry email and Enterprise BES email works well.

One last question... [email protected] what is the reason for the creation of this email?  Given that you can directly add your existing accounts for gmail, yahoo, or comcast etc..  Why should one create this email? [email protected]

    Appreciate all your responses

You're welcome... glad it works for you.

There is really no reason to get one of these address of @carrier.blackberry.net. They are not visible on any other webmail site and are prone to collect spam, with no available spam filtering options. I advise users to not use it.

However, why some? Because they can. Some users use these addresses to transfer mail from a POP account as these addresses grow instantly by the RIM servers.

  • Internet connection Wi - fi blackBerry Smartphones

OK, this might sound like a stupid Q but when I connect my BB 9700 to my router broadband via wi - fi, are all data downloads run automatically via wi - fi, rather than through my network of the shipping company, or is there a setting somewhere that I have to change?

    Thank you

You are right. As soon as you connect to a Wifi router, your device, you can route all connections internet through the router, if possible. This will include the Apps if they support him!

  • Cannot connect to Smartphones blackBerry ID BB (Blackberry OS 7)

I changed my BB ID, device settings and I already confirmed my new BB ID by email, tried to restart my device, and connect, but it says "could not complete your request. Enter a valid BlackBerry ID username", actually I had no problem when I tried to connect using that username for https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/login/. Please help, this is the last attempt to connect.

@JSanders Of course, I'm sure that all the password, the thing is my new username and my previous user name can be use as it says user name of BB ID invalid when I try to follow the forgotten password, BIS is currently active.

No, I don't know, because over the years I met dozens of users who have the correct password when they connect to a PC to www.bbid.com for testing (as you said), but cannot do so on the BlackBerry itself.

The keyboard and entering the numbers or letters is different and there are times users just do not do things.

But ok, let's say you have the correct user name.

    You are connected to WiFi?

You can try the same login on your BlackBerry when you're connected to WiFi?

And if you have been connected to WiFi, try to turn off WiFi and use only the mobile data connection to connect.

  • Connection to Smartphones blackBerry with macbook pro

I have upgraded to a BB Storm today and that you have installed the software on my Mac PocketMac. I then try to connect the BB to my Macbook Pro, but it comes up with this message: [01:34:13.208] unable to connect to BlackBerry (error 1); jump.

I looked on the website and recommended just to install a more recent version that you can download. I have it done but its still saying the same message. Read there are some probs in connection with the new MacBooks, but mine is more than a year now.

    Any ideas anyone?

Sorry, should have posted earlier. I solved the problem I had with the connection to my mac, is perhaps the same prob you meet. You must activate 'the mass storage mode support' and format the card media if you have one. Do this in the file on the bb and then its under 'memory '.

    I hope this helps!

I lost these icons and don't know how to get back them.  They are not in this toolbar customization.

    2 ways to recover...

1 do a system restore. Use a date where the icons were present on the notification as your restore point area.
Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

2 use this tutorial: use the three method.

  • BB link 1.1.1.26 software BlackBerry cannot connect to your BlackBerry ID confirm you are connected to the Internet and try again.

I'm having a problem with BlackBerry link 1.1.1.26.  I installed, removed and reinstalled several times and have not been able to find a solution.  Once the link is installed and I have running, click on the "Sign In" button and then showed up with an error message saying "unable to connect to your BlackBerry ID."  Confirm you are connected to the Internet and try again "(Win 8 64-bit) office is certainly connected to the internet, using for this post as we speak.  Configuration of simple network DSL modem, router and wi - fi, no firewall company or related issues.  I tried to disable the firewall, and windows defender, reboot and nothing seems to work.  Once I had it connect after a new installation, but the next time I loaded, he was presented with the same error.  Does anyone have any ideas or patches?  Get very frustrating and want out of the file sharing facility.

Thanks a lot for your help!

I was able to get the link to work yesterday by doing a complete uninstall of the BB and BB Desktop Manager link.  Restart, running a registry cleaner, by restarting again and do a new installation of link BB.  It now seems to work.  I tried a few times and after several reboots it always seems to work.

Yes, I had checked before the windows firewall State, and there has been exceptions for active link.  I also tried turning off the firewall completely and windows defender, but which had not worked.

  • Why am I not able to disable the DHCP service without losing my internet connection?

I have a DHCP service that I can't disable or configure all settings. If I turn off the service, I lose the internet connection!

This is not a service that is needed and I think it's the reason why I have so many problems with my computer.
How can I fix this. I also want to say, that I tried to disable the service by using the Service Manager and is the only setting that I can change, and when I do, I lose the internet connection!

Of course, you will lose Internet connectivity If you disable this service, just read the description on the page when you select this service in computer management or anywhere else list services appears.

    DHCP Client Description:

Registers and updates IP addresses and DNS records for this computer. If this service is stopped, this computer will not receive IP addresses dynamic and DNS updates. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on will fail to start.

An IP address is how your computer is made known on the network so that it can communicate with other computers, so without any communication can take place between him and all the others, especially Internet.
